    Overall it was a good experience. I felt the food was a bit overpriced for what you get. The servers were incredible. But felt the drinks were a little slow. The food was great. But I didn’t find that one plate that did it for me. Oysters Beef tartar - this was my favorite of the bunch Shrimp toasties Brisket - they gave us ingredients to make a sandwich. @ 85$. I shouldn’t be making any sandwiches

    I've never had such a bad service experience at model milk! I always look forward to coming here with friends. We wait almost 45 minutes to get our drinks, and clearly it was way to busy for us to even order food. When I asked for the bill the server seemed relieved he didn't have to wait another table. Oh well! Hopefully this isn't a reflection of the regular service, and just a one off. Pretty disappointed

    Good afternoon, I want to express my sincerest apologies for your evening with us. We very clearly dropped the ball and it is evident that there wasn't an attempt to pick it up. No one should wait 45 minutes for their drinks, and for that I am sorry. We will talk with our bar team as to why this occurred in the first place, but also ways in which we can prevent future long waits. I am also saddened to hear that you were not made to feel welcome - we actively try to reinforce with our staff how important making people feel at home is, but we should have done better.     We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Modern Milk. We loved the food and the service was amazing. We were so impressed by the team work of all the staff serving the tables. It was definitely a team effort and everyone was so friendly. It is not only a great place to eat, but must be a great place to work. Thank you for a great evening out.

    The food at this restaurant is truly stellar! Every single dish is so abundantly scrumptious. The service was very good. Obviously a well run ship!

    This was a return visit with friends who have not been here! They approved of our choice and also loved the food/service/ambience etc! Probably could have more vegetarian options! Also, if the exterior lighting were a little more brighter, would help with locating the restaurant after dark. Would readily come back at the next opportunity!! Thanks

    Jamelle was our server whilst we sat at the bar, her attention to detail along with her incredible knowledge of the menu was the perfect compliment to what the bar & kitchen have to offer. A casual meet for drinks and apps was elevated to an unbelievable experience by Jamelle and each of the bartenders, I am excited to visit again!

    My best friend Kathy and I had an amazing meal. Ms. Jamelle was amazing - we simply asked her to feed us. She did an amazing job. It’s the best dinner and experience I’ve had in Calgary in at least 5 years.

    I had a great birthday dinner with my boyfriend here. All the staff were super friendly, gave good recommendations on our drinks and food. When we got dessert they even put a candle on it for me. A great place to have a nice meal

    Food was delicious. Service was great. It was easy to share dishes. The Icelandic cod was delicious. The music was good but could’ve been toned down a bit. Nevertheless, a very enjoyable evening. Delicious desserts and sherry afterwards.

    UPDATE: It's says a lot about how much a restaurant cares about it's customer when they invite you back when you are not happy and treat you to a 5 star experience. Model Milk did not disappoint and they lived up to their high standards. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and we really appreciated the effort that Reshma made to reach out. Everyone has a bad day but it's the way you recover that makes all the difference. Great job guys and thanks again. Really too bad. This is a great restaurant, serving really good food. However, we were there for 90 minutes before we got our dinner. They did compensate us for the slow service but with an event we had to get to we had to eat our food in 10min and leave in a hurry making the whole experience unacceptable. Don’t know I would dine here again with all the other options available to us. You can have a bad day but you’re only as good as your last service.

    Our server was fantastic. Attentive but not overwhelming, and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food generally was good, with the exception of my burger main (soggy bun) and fries (tiny pieces, like the end of a batch). My friends loved the chicken and the shared small bites were tasty.

    Service was exceptional. Kate, our server, was very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks and was very attentive and kind. We were in a group of 4 and shared the bread as appetizer and the pork, zucchini schnitzel and fried chicken as main dishes. I’d have been hungry if I had the zucchini just by itself, but all of the dishes were delicious. We then shared 3 desserts: the apple pie, the chocolate one and the lemon one. The apple pie was the best one. The others were good but didn’t do it for me flavour wise. The chocolate was the least favourite of the group

    Great ambience here and wonderful staff and service. Food was good …. but a little on the salty side( tomato salad, char and calamari). That’s okay though…. the wine made up for it. Would go back and try other dishes. 😜

    I took myself on a date while I was working I. Calgary and it was such an awesome experience. The server was so personable it was like we were hanging out friends haha she gave lots of suggestions. You cannot leave here without ordering the apple cheddar pie! You won’t be disappointed!

    Despite having grown up in Calgary’s mission area all my life, I have never dined at Model Milk until this eve. And I have to admit, I’m disappointed the experience didn’t live up to the hype. The server was mediocre at best (she compared a dressing to thousands island), the fries were stringy in McDonald’s style, over salted and crispy beyond reasonable. The salad was decent but drenched in oil and the carrots and shishito peppers were swimming in seeds. Everything felt lost, convoluted and forced. It was a confusing plate, to say the least.
