Montecito Ratings and Reviews
Erica was a wonderful waitress! She made it very special for us.
Had a great lunch with my wife. Really well prepared food with excellent wines available by the glass. Our server Karon was very knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Server was terrible, condescending. Surprised and disappointed to have been treated like that especially after I had a great experience the last time I dined here. Don’t waste your time or money here, lots of places to go with stellar service for in the area.
We ate there on a Monday evening in January, so it was quiet. The service was impeccable and our server was very helpful in guiding to us the right selections. And she paced the food wonderfully, so we were able to savor the experience.
Great service, fab menu and everything tastes great. Wine choice awesome. Great relaxed and cosy atmosphere.
Popular for pre theatre meals
Great atmosphere, super happy that they noticed my request on my reservation.
Food was really tasty and even though it was a bit late I understand that something happened in the kitchen.
The only thing I would note is that the lady with the curly hair at the welcome desk was a bit moody. Not very nice first impression..
Went with friends for the New Year's Eve Prixe-Fixe menu. Delightful! We ate very slowly just to savour the tastes. Highly recommended.
Took my wife to Montecito for her birthday. We enjoyed it.
James always takes the best care! The food was phenmenal and service on point
Quite possibly one of the best dining experiences I ever had.
Service very attentive, staff very friendly, and food tasted amazing!
We found the atmosphere quite pleasing and the staff very welcoming but the menu was short and serving size lacking. I had the chicken, it came with nothing.
Good service good drinks a tad expensive
Thank you we had a lovely lunch and my clients that had a much shortened luncheon were thrilled with the service. I also with a upset stomach was extremely well taken care of.
Definitely a great place - and love those orange shoes!
all the best Fiona Macrae
Food was delicious & service was EXTRAORDINARY! Highly recommend
Montecito is a gorgeous restaurant with amazing food. Their bar selection is extensive and the service was good. Overall a really good vibe!
It was fine. But if you’re looking for something intimate, special or unique this isn’t it. I’d compare it to a nice Milestones.
I've been a couple times, both with work. Great cocktails. Both times we ordered a bunch of appetizers and entrees and shared. Great way to sample a lot of the menu.
The kale salad always keeps us coming back. As usual, great service and food. Solid pick for a date but even better for medium sized groups.
Christmas lunch with staff, everyone enjoyed being at Montecito's this year!
Best kale salad and best pork chops in town! I think there are other things on the menu but I always order the kale salad and the pork chops!
They made sure we have a very special experience on our anniversary. Great food, staff and service.
Had a great meal with my wife on a Sunday evening. It was a relatively a quiet evening in terms of crowds. The music was a great blend of classic oldies and new music that kept us dancing in our seats. The food was delicious. Portions were filling without overwhelming.
I would highly recommend!
Overall, this restaurant exceeded our expectations when it came down to service, ambiance and quality of food. I liked that they had a coat check at the reception desk when we arrived- I was even more surprised when I saw a menu placed on each plate with a Happy Birthday (my name) printed on the menu. It was the sweetest thing any restaurant has ever done for me.
We were there for Sunday brunch and their menu, although limited in option, was fantastic. Everyone raved about the food. There was a slight misunderstanding (on our end) when we were ordering and our waitress handled the situation really well- professional service at it's finest. I wish I got her name so that I could personally applaud her.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for top notch service and food. The interior decoration was definitely the cherry on top.
Had my birthday dinner here for 6 people and they put us in a private alcove. The waitresses were extremely friendly and professional. Great ambience. Delicious food and cocktails.
Great food and ambiance but overpriced
Lovely restaurant, professional and friendly service , tasty food , excellent ambiance
Great decor and friendly staff. Food was excellent and well executed. Our table was close to the kitchen, which you should avoid. The staff yelling orders and prep lingo was very intrusive and made our table converstion impossible.
This is the only reason for not giving the restaurant 5 stars.
Very happy with service and quality of meal. Would recommend and I will be returning!
Fantastic Food and Service - very charming server made for a special evening out!
Great waiter Dylan who was very attentive.
We all had the Fogo Is. cod & it was cooked nicely but tasteless (we did omit the bacon) I am not a big eater but it was a very small serving with a wide slice of sweet potato which was good! I think that was it!
The 3 scallops were v. Good & Burrata app. Good.
Music too loud & at beg so was the kitchen, which can't be helped...
Our friends own a home in Napa, Ca & he knows his wines. He felt your wine mark up on California wines was similar to The French Laundry restaurant! Way too high! He ordered an Aussie red instead but normally likes California wines!
Restaurant is lovely to look at but not enough to return.
This is an excellent restaurant. We were seated near the open kitchen. Interesting but do not choose this area for a quiet meal.
The staff were outstanding. Knowledgeable.
The price point is at the high end but I would say worth it.
We will return.
The portions are tiny for the prices they charge. There’s a reason there’s so much availability on prime nights out.
Entrees took to long to come
Perfect date night place. We ended up in the bar area which is really beautiful with its art deco vibe. The food was so delish, I can't wait to go back!
I had been to Montecito a handful of times in the past and always loved it, but this last time they went above and beyond. Food, atmosphere, service were awesome as usual, but this time they surprised my table by printing a personalized happy birthday to my friend on our menus. It was a really great touch that we've all been talking about all weekend. Can't recommend this place enough.
I ate your schnitzels before and they were good. Yesterday, however, after stripping the breadcrumbs, both orders of the rubber sole schnitzels were left uneaten. The only reason I didn't make a scene was our excellent server. I really don't phantom why such a professional would work for you.
A disappointment was the portion size on each of our entrees, very skimpy so I would consider their executive Chef team to consider adding another creative side to the menu entrees. For 30 plus per dish our group of seven kinda laughed and did double takes after ordering different dishes. We seriously all considered going directly to the Queen street A&W right after leaving this place.
Ambience was cool and a smarter choice of new music mix variety (indie, rnb, pop,) would compliment the experience.
The setting is exciting, beautifully designed; the atmosphere is lively, has the required 'buzz.' Service is very good as well as friendly and informative - our waiter explained the menu well and made recommendations when asked. For the most part our food was good, but I ordered the skirt steak which evidently came from Cumbrae - it was tough (I couldn't chew my first bite enough to swallow) and overdone. Maybe best to order steak at a steak house. Other than that, we had an enjoyable evening.
Great food and ambience. The service was extremely friendly and attentive with good humour. The food was fresh with unique flavours. And...great seasonal cocktails. I will be back.
