We dined in the wine bar, seated at a table with a great street view. It was a fantastic experience - the food was really good, the wine was great and the staff was extremely knowledgable, interesting and engaging. We will definitely go back.

Laura our waitress was lovely and helpful .
The tuna appetizer was too salty - better w lots of fresh lime juice... The trout was excellent- nice and crispy and flavourful but it was served in a "broth" ....making it and the lovely " crispy roti potatoes -soggy ....

Great evening. I had put a note with my reservation that I was celebrating my anniversary and engagement with my fiancée. When I arrived, the hostess was aware of this, congratulated us, and brought us to a great table in the corner. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered a bottle of the 2013 two sisters cab merlot, the striploin and the lamb with the tuna as an appetizer. Everything was delicious. After our meals, our server informed us that we can sit on the patio and finish our wine if we’d like. We did and it was a perfect finish to our evening. Would definitely come back again. Prices are quite reasonable, and locations is great.

A lovely interesting menu. Farm to table style and nice choice for most palates. I would call the cuisine Nuvo California. The kale salad was a super switch up to a traditional Caesar. I had the cod and my companion the duck. Both lovely. The meal was slow but that is okay if you plan the time before theater. When the restaurant got busier our waiter was tough to catch. Our only comment was the music was way to loud and if the restaurant were full it would be very difficult to talk. We miss soft surfaces like table cloths and carpet to lower the noise. If you want a more intimate dinner, ask for a table in the bar.

Unfortunately the kitchen was very slow. Waited close to 30 minutes for the entrees to arrive. When they did the kitchen did not listen on how the lamb dish was to be prepared and it had to go back. Server was very nice and worked to compensate with providing a free entree and desert.

Sound system was unnecessarily too loud for a 2/3 empty dining room.

Disappointed by the steak since was amazing when went 6 months ago. This time they butterfly our steaks. Not sure why. One side was well done and the other under cooked for what was ordered. Did not complain but inquired about it. Service staff did not pick up on my dislike. Service was fine but not special. Found prices inflated, especially for glass of wine. Prices didnt match quality of wine or steak. Bread was quite nice and i liked the bar area which was quite bright with natural light.

I decided to bring a client to the restaurant...Unfortunately, the food was not very good this time. The schnitzel was way to fatty, the Montecito chicken with the arugula was oily and the arugula was completely drenched with oil. Usually the meals are great, this was not my best experience. I will likely return as i hope this was just an isolated experience.

If thoughts of schnitzel at the Hotel Sacher come to mind when you see it on the menu at Montecito...forget it, it doesn’t come close!

My waitress was poorly dressed. Service was horrible she almost spilled my drink. She looked sloppy clumsy and not confident .
I have been there several times before and had a good experience . Even though this was lunch the waitresses should dress more professional in accordance with the quality of Montecito.
I wwould still recommend this place .

Nice setting, attentive service, but the food was a perfect execution in mediocrity. The string was still on my lamb; the presentation was average at best; and the taste didn't blow me away.

Our Server Renee was fabulous, very pleasant and fast service, but not rushed. We had drinks, appetizers and dinner before going to a show for our Anniversary. The special touches, designer menu's with Happy Anniversary written on them, celebratory dessert, etc. were amazing. They really went above and beyond to make our night special. The food was absolutely scrumptious. Had steak tartar, and gourmet meatballs as apps and then the gnocchi and lamb for dinner. Everything tasted homemade and delicious. Would recommend to everyone to try going there for an evening. Really enjoyable.

A favorite place to entertain out-of-towners, the menu is solid throughout but I end up ordering the kale salad and pork chop almost every time. Both are the best in the city, so why not. My spouse always orders the chicken. Spatchcocked and delicious. The potatoes are outstanding.

My first experience was great, I decided to meet a business partner here for lunch. Great service... ordered the Farmed Trout and was honestly best I have ever had.

Came close to licking the plate... but didn’t want to embarrass anyone :)

Look forward to coming back... wanna try the tuna next!!

this restaurant was amazing when It first opened, then the quality went down a little bit. BUT.... this last time we went it was a big surprise as the food was drastically improved.

Had the perfect meal and will definitely recommend the kale salad. Note: it is huge, we had 4 people and one order was enough for 4 of us to share.

Would definitely recommend again.

Food and service on point. Wasnt my first time there, but on this particular day it was a lot of noise and people so that was the only downside. My duck dish was served just like I wanted and choice in local wines didn't dissapoint

Mother’s Day celebration but no special greeting by staff. Service was slow despite restaurant being only 30% full. Kale salad was very good but pear salad was underwhelming. Had to request bread with appetizers. Pork chop was very good but vegetables were undercooked. Beet ravioli lacked substance and depth of flavour while the portion size was undersized for a main course.

Went there for a Mother’s Day dinner. The service was excellent. The menu was not too large but a good variety to suit everyone’s needs. Nice selection of appetizers, pizza, pasta (made in house) and a selection of mains consisting of fish, poultry, and meat. I would like to go back and try the pizza and the pasta. The beet ravioli sounded delicious. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers we shared and their mains. I would definitely go back.

I love the concept - farm to table, everything on the menu from Canadian farmers! But unfortunately, I don't understand why on earth they would serve me a pork chop so thick that I could barely get my knife through it - let alone my teeth. Literally my plate was wandering around the table from the sheer force of me trying to slice this pork chop. It looked beautiful - but had little to no flavour. The cauliflower on my plate was interesting and exciting and delicious - how could the same restaurant that can do that to cauliflower fail so spectacularly to make a pork chop? Similarly, Look I get that it's all canadian stuff so you had to serve canola oil on your burrata instead of olive oil. But it brought literally nothing. No taste. All I could taste.... ALL I could taste was the almost burnt toast that accompanied the burrata. Also why put the pear jam mixed in the salad? Why not leave me a nice little clump on the side to smear with the burrata and taste them together? Just some really confusing choices here. Look the atmosphere here was good, the service was really excellent, the food is really great in concept and it was fine to go before heading off to a show. But for that price and those premium ingredients I had hoped the food would be better than "fine".

Renee and shadow server were extremely attentive and helpful. She made a couple of suggestions for drink and food which and were all excellent. Trout and duck entrees were so tasty. Surprised that our anniversary was acknowledged during dessert. We had theatre tickets and Renee was very mindful of our timing . Thank you for a great evening..will definitely be back.

I really enjoyed Montecito, the service was excellent and the food was very good. I had the kale salad it was amazing and I loved the pear and blue cheese pizza. The layout is very nice and cozy
