Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Montreal's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
Ile Flottante; I've been there a dozen times in the last 3 years for various occasions. It's difficult for restaurants to reinvent themselves when expanding and changing the name to keep their identity. Ile flottante has done that impeccably. They kept the same formula that made Les Deux Singes an exceptional restaurant. Friendly, humble and knowledgeable staff serving creative food that is technical & balanced while playing with textures & flavours in a modern ways that pushes culinary boundaries while remaining excellent value for your money. That same attention to detail and excellence is found in their wine and cocktail menu. Montreal has no shortage of restaurants but this one truly stands out above all the others. I choose this restaurant because it was close to my hotel and I was exhausted, what a lucky break. The specialty is flamed steak . I was planning to have seafood, but the copper pot of butter and seasoning was so aromatic, I opted for the steak, it was fabulous I will be back. I live half a continent away. MoreOpenTable Diner -
