The coat check girl almost made me want to turn around and leave; little understanding what the service industry is all about...but the service afterwards and food were excellent.
A graduation dinner for my meat mouth son. 5 of us and we ALL enjoyed our meal. Our waiter Andre was excellent on point. The serving sizes were great...not so large you can only have a starter or a main course and between each course we had enough time to digest a little...I think this was Andre's doing. It was like being in a New York steak house in Manhatten...but is in Toronto.
Always a great meal with exceptional service
Go to Morton's for many special occasions. Was there last night for someone's birthday. This is both our 'pick' for bday dinners but any reason is a good reason...and no reason is also good. Always Enjoy the special menus/promotions as well, when offerred. Last night the special grill (scallops, grilled shrimp and steak) was outstanding. Service, food, quality and value are always beyond perfection, from my experience. Staff always very accomodating, helpful if necessary, friendly, warm and welcoming! Love it there, many thanks!
Food & service good
Morton’s has always been a favorite and one of the few restaurants with a round table! However the prices have gone up and to pay 14 dollars for a baked potato is a tad steep I think! But service is great and despite the noise it is always busy! At least they have the club you can join and get money back after spending a certain amount to use on your next meal!
Great Celebration dinner with wonderful service by Kenny. This is a class act!
Excellent service and great food! Mortons never disappoints - been going to this chain for years and been to multiple locations. Excellent everywhere.
I have been to a lot of steak houses around the world on business and personal travels, but Morton’s was one of the best so far. The Wagyu steak that I had was simply spectacular. My wife and dined with six other good friends and everyone enjoyed their meals with positive comments all around. This is a well travelled group and they were all impressed. The service was great and the waiter was very attentive and fun to interact with. The prices were a pretty high but overall a great experience.
Food was under-seasoned, and took a long time. Service was excellent. Nice ambience. Overall very good.
Amazing my fave steakhouse with the best lobster mac n cheese
Great food. Great service.
I loved the meal and The staff was very courteous to my kids. I didnt feel out of place eveb though my table was the only one with children. Great food and great wine
The prime rib was outstanding as well as the crab cakes. Would definitely go back for special occasions.
We had an amazing dinner at Morton's! Their service is great and food is delicious. We ordered the Shrimp Alexander as an appetizer and it was really good. Not to mention their bread that comes to the table was SO good. I had the bone-in rib eye and it was the juiciest steak that I have ever had. We had a great experience at Morton's and would highly recommend it for a special occasion.
As usual ....from the moment you walk through the door until the cheque is settled, the experience is seamless. Can’t say enough about this establishment. Never lets me down. Server was fantastic and so pleasant! Food was cooked to perfection and brought out in a timely manner. I’ll definitely return soon when I have the time.
We love all the staff and food.
Had a good time with friends.
Up all night with heartburn; unusual for me!
Bread was ok but was better back when they baked onsite. I had a filet that I found a bit dry but was still very good. They made a great effort to make me a potato dish that met numerous dietary issues I have and I really appreciated it. House salad was very good. Welcome addition to the menu. Lava cake was also really good. I think it is time though to add more bone-in options on the menu. I still love it but I find the restaurant is less consistent than it was in the pre-Landry days. That said, if you go more than once a year become a Landry Club member. The savings are quite meaningful.
Getting a full time job
Amazing! Outstanding! Our waiter was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed. It was my son's 16th Birthday.
My expectations were exceeded during my first experience here
Another great meal at Morton's but I will warn you that they have raised their corkage charge to $55, which is ridiculous
We were extremely disappointed with the overall experience. It started off side ways when we arrived on time and had to wait 10 minutes even though we had a reservation. And when we were seated the maitre d' said "You two" follow me - really? He couldn't even be bothered to keep track of the 2-3 groups who arrived at the same time we did!
The service was the highlight - we had a very accommodating, knowledgeable waitress who saved the evening for us.
The wine list is huge and impressive but totally overpriced (3.5 to 4x what you would pay at the Liquor Store in some cases - at one of our old favs, Delise Court, the owner purposely kept the margin down on his high end wines because he wanted people to drink them - not at Morton's!).
The shrimp cocktail and bone-in rib steak were both excellent but pricey. Don't go for the matchstick fries unless you love truffle oil (note to the chef: it's an overpowering flavour...). For my wife the killer was that they couldn't even be bothered to trim off the ends of the asparagus. They were totally uneatable so we had to cut them off ourselves. Not so bad but when you are paying $500+ for a nice dinner you should expect the kitchen to pay attention to these little details...
Another downer for me was the cinnamon added to the sugar on the rim of my Spanish coffee. Don't get me wrong, I love cinnamon flavoured coffee but not when I already have brandy in there!
Was visiting from out of town. Have been to mortons in Chicago and Cleveland before. Know it has an impeccable reputation. Was disappointed that the visit didn’t compare to the other two properties and not in a good way. Steaknwas great, potatoes warm at best, brussell sprouts warm at best. Waiter not very friendly and basically felt we were being rushed out the door. Hair on the tablecloth.
Very mediocre steak house but it used to be a lot better many years ago. The bar staff was in attentive and busy squabbling over cutting fruit and you could feel the tension come through
Our waitress was the highlight of the night and very professional which made my overall reviews highly
Would I go back no. There are far too many better options in Toronto for the the same money or less
Best food, best service!! always. My favourite restaurant
My desk server/waitress is very nice and friendly!! But the front desk, valet parking guy and manger at the front are super rude, not friendly! Not like!!
Fantastic dinner for our anniversary.
Excellent staff provided a fun and memorable event.
Amazing food and service as always!
The food was enjoyable; however, the service was very disappointing. Our server came to the table few times and was not successful at creating a comfortable atmosphere. Our table left a cash tip and the server appeared to be under the impression there was no tip left after receiving the credit card payment regardless of the fact he was told the gratuity was left in the check booklet... he then walked away from the table and shook his head. This was very unprofessional and inappropriate. I definitely would have been happier with a better experience in regards to the service.
Well our experience was a bit of a disaster because as soon as we sat down, the power went out. Very unfortunate as we were all looking forward to a steak night at Morton’s!
Of all the steakhouses to select from, one cannot go wrong with this institution.
Great service and great food
The service was amazing !! The best in the city. Food was perfect and well presented .
Great food and fabulous environment to relax eat and chat.
Sides were surprisingly mediocre.
Lobster Bisque probably had a little too much cream than I'm used to getting, but flavour was there. Salad was served at a perfect temperature.
Solid wine list. France very well represented in addition to Italy and new world.
Steaks cooked perfectly.
The chandelier atop the stairs to the restroom/private dining areas is disgusting and looks like it hasn't been dusted in fifteen years.
Otherwise, awesome. The front door staff were incredibly polite, management as well.
Awesome service. Great food. Fun ambience. Great for a business meeting!
