Had an awesome lunch with friends. Our server, Diego, was fantastic. We always love going to Moxies. We know we will have good food and drinks, and great service and atmosphere. Thanks
Melissa at Wine Bar was GREAT 😜
Overall,Acoustics are the only issue... Lots of hard surfaces make it pretty loud and tough on conversations 😱
Everything overall was really good the food came fast the waitress was very nice the place was clean the only thing was that the food was a little cold and when we asked them to warm it it was much better
Server was great with the kids - kept them happy with drink refills and an interesting kids dessert. Great service.
I usually go to Moxie's for the seared ginger tuna salad but this time something was off. My friends got the mango chicken and it was very salty.
Don't know if I'd return in the near future.
In general, Toronto has horrible waiter service at the restaurants. They don’t do it like they do it in the states. This was the only time in my 10 day trip that I felt like it was equal to most of the restaurants in the states (for service). The food was outstanding, the best meal I had of the 30 meals during my trip.
always a great time at Moxies for after work drinks and a meal.
The shrimp sushi cones are amazing and I hope this stays on the menu for a very long time.
Friendly staff and great service. Reasonably priced social hours on food and some cocktails !
Good food as always
We checked into our hotel before heading up to Burls Creek for The Rolling Stones concert. As we had three hungry teens in tow we knew we need food. Moxies was just what we needed. Food was good and service efficient and friendly. Good idea too as there was minimal food at the show and those kids would have been bears to deal with!
Terrible service waited about 40 minutes to receive the wrong drink then about 1.5 hours for our food and the restaurant was about 70% empty. Absolute waste of money m. Unfortunate being there often and trusted service would be respectable but this through me off and will not be back didn’t even tip the server.
Moxie's food and promptness was incredible. Molly, our server, was bright and friendly and very good.
Great value for a business lunch and great rigatoni too
The Patio area facing University Avenue was quiet enough, appropriate for a work team's conversation. The experience was nice and the service excellent.
It’s delicious!! Good service! It’s loud but it’s a pub so it’s kinda normal! It’s a stop by when you go to Toronto! :)
It was a decent experience. We had one meal and/or appetizer each and a few drinks.
It was not noisy since it was late afternoon at Moxies.
Service was awful. We weren’t given napkins. We asked for water with our cocktails and never got it. No one checked on us so we got our own water at the bar. Food was cold.
Went with my 8 year old daughter before the theatre. Server went out of his way to be friendly. Prompt accurate service without smothering us. Food was delicious. Good reliable middle of the road choice.
Great patio - nice servers- good hard lemonade!! I had a chicken Caesar salad - was tasty but I do have some suggestions. Cut the lettuce into bite size pieces please - the salad I was served I had to cut up to be able to eat. There was nothing in the salad except lettuce, dressing and chicken- add some bacon bits and croutons maybe? I was disappointed given the price and it didn’t fill me up. 😒
Food was so good. You will love this place. They also made my salad without beets. Great food and service.
Food was very slow to arrive (took over half an hour), and was disappointing as the fish was overcooked and the vegetables were undercooked. Had to remind the waiter twice about some extra side dishes that we had ordered with our mains. The side dishes did not arrive until we had almost finished our meal. This was a business lunch so luckily we weren't on a tight schedule, otherwise we would have had to leave before our side dishes had even arrived. Given that this restaurant is located right in the financial district, service needs to improve to attract more of the business crowd.
Conveniently located in the financial district. Good selection of items on the menu sure to please everyone in your group. Service was excellent.
Friendly staff, but food was just ok. Maybe a small thing to Moxie’s but big to me: my French fries came cold. I made my waiter aware, he apologized and immediate replaced them, however the replacement French fries were almost just as cold. Not in a rush to go back any tome soon.
Being back the cauliflower app. That was always a favorite with my guests. All else was good as always.
This was the 3rd time l've eaten here this year. All 3 experiences have been awesome, and the food has always been amazing..along with the great hostesses and servers who are always smiling and polite. Although I DO find it a bit loud, it's really only because it's busy, which is a good thing! This particular visit we had Ben as our server and he was outstanding. He was very attentive of us and checked up on us always at the right time, and was very helpful of the menu items and drink options. Even guessed that we were going to the symphony! Awesome job, Ben .. and the entire staff at Moxie's, we'll be back!
Repeat visit to Moxie’s in Toronto. Fun menu, TVs to watch sporting events, great location. We enjoy visiting Moxie’s for a quick bite. Great staff. A little loud, but it’s a fun place to eat and have a couple of cocktails.
Had a great experience
Great food but way too loud over the lunch crowd. Otherwise service was good and would return.
For a location I would recommend to others, yes, if attending TheRoy Thompson Hall. Would I go back? Yes, if attending another event near. I would of been happy to give this place a higher review, if my food wasn’t brought to me cold. How is anyone suppose to be happy with cold and undercooked fries? I set it back. The fries came back to me only after I finished eating the rest of my meal! I saw several people sending back their fries while there and they had theirs come back cooked and hot quickly. However mine came back only after a server when to try and clear the table and wanted to take away my white vinegar that I needed for the fries! Restaurant did give us a discount without being asked or us making a stink. We had a early booking 5:30pm and we arrived around 5 pm instead long before the rush. So really there was no excuse to be served undercook cold food and then having to wait until everything was eaten to get back my fries ... only after another server went and asked. Our own server, wasn’t doing so hot by coming back to check on her own table. She was pleasant enough, talked with customers maybe more than she should have, but not being diligent in checking in on her tables. If she was, maybe this wouldn’t have been as bad as it was. We probably would of order more drinks as well. But it was nice the male waiter stepped in to try and do something when he had a few extra moments from his own tables to help out. Kudos to him!
Yes, very good restaurant with good variety of food + drinks
Excellent server. Great menu choices. Food served hot and tasty. Never felt rushed. Overall great dinner.
My sister is in a wheelchair and the hosts seated her promptly and comfortably. The food was great! We had the sushi cones and tuna poke and they were both great! The server was quick, efficient, polite and our order was accurate. Will recommend and come back the next time we have a concert to go to. Thanks!
We always enjoy Moxies. The echo and noise level is a bit too high. We sometimes avoid business meals here for that reason alone.
Brutal service, brought me bottled water I did not order, took 45 mins to take food order, slow delivery and very slow getting the bill. My client bailed before his meal was done because it took so long.
Dear Ryan: Thank you for taking the time to send a review on Open Table, I do apologize for the service related issues on your recent visit, please believe me this is not indicative of how we run our business. I was able to pin point your table and server, rest assured we will take this opportunity to coach our servers and management team using your experience as a reference. Regards, Alex Parasidis
Crowd was really noisy at lunch. Difficult to converse. Not sure how much control U could have over acoustics.
Expensive as heck (although typical for touristy downtown TO) and the food was just decent. Restaurant atmosphere itself is typical generic "casual dining".
Service from Ben was excellent, efficient and friendly!
Food was very tasty.
Cons: the glasses need to be cleaned more thoroughly. All of the glasses we received had lip marks on them on the rims.
Staff was great. The food is always great however the Ribs were a bit tough to my liking, they needed to be cooked a bit more as the were very chewy. My daughter had the Salmon and it was excellent!
Delicious food but way too loud.
Service was very friendly but also very slow. Otherwise a very good dinner for pre-theatre.
Fantastic location, great staff, amazing food! Highly recommended
