Very slow service, not worth the price you pay for the meal.
Went there before a leafs game it was such a better environment then the pubs before an game. The service we had may of been the best we have ever had at a restaurant!! We will be back whenever we go to an event in the area
Vince’s first hockey game
Staff were so great, best service we have had anywhere in many outings!
Excellent experience, great service, and delicious meals
NYE 2019 - Great menu and service. Kudos for Ryerson
Service started out really good and then we were overlooked by a larger group. Ordered shots which never came. Beers were sitting at the bar for a while before being delivered. We even ordered 2 bottles of champagne and still never saw our server until she was cashing us out. The manager had to resort to taking care of us because "she has one large party". Not very impressed.
Brutal service - could not get tables cleared or a bill
Great food and fast service.
Great service and food.
It's my go to spot before an evening out in downtown. Always a nice time!
It took about 20 minutes for someone to come to our table after we were seated and that was after we tried flagging down a server. We left to a restaurant across the street which served us our meals faster than it took to get water at Moxie’s. Very disappointing as we were both in a rush and have very few opportunities to have lunch together.
Had a great time. Food was excellent. Quite noisy. Great service.
IF they are going to sell espresso, make sure the beans on not from England and the machine used can put a proper head on an espresso. Shame on you for the espresso being crap!!! don't sell it if yo cannot make a proper one!!
Our server Mateo was so friendly and fun! We had a few good laughs with him. Our food was wonderful. It was a great way to start our evening on our way to Roy Thompson Hall for a Christmas show. Thanks Moxie's!
Food was good ; unfortunately too loud for conversation
Great food and a nice varied ambience depending on where you are seated.
Our server did what I hate most in restaurant service - once the food was served we became invisible. Yes, he did come around once to ask about tea & coffee. But it was almost an hour from when we finished eating to when we got the bill. And that was only once we chased another server down to get it for us. I hate it when an otherwise good experience ends on this kind of sour note.
Enjoyed the food, especially the Mahi Mahi. Our server was helpful, but food took around 30 minutes to arrive as, we were later told, the kitchen was overwhelmed serving a very large group of people. We were almost late for an event we were attending and had to rush through dinner without the benefit of having any desert
Food was great. Fun atmosphere. Took a long time to find server so we could pay. Other than that a nice experience for our group.
Bland food, great server tho!
And way too loud
Good but plastic in my dates salad. Big no no. Staff were friendly but distracted.
The music was too loud making dinner conversation a shouting match. Food was good but pricey. Tea was not hot enough. Waitress was very nice.
First time at this location, A+! Service and food on point. Would definitely visit again. Ordered the tenderloin steak, amazing. And the blackened Mahi Mahi, so flavourful.
My waiter was great!!! He checked in on us, was very friendly and helpful but at the same time didn't rush us to order.
Food was great and we had an excellent server. We were thankfully near the back of the restaurant where it wasn't as noisy.
The meal I ordered was very good( salmon )- the dessert, sticky toffee pudding was excellent. The service was good but I got the impression that the restaurant may be short staffed, a busboy came and gave us water but it took a little while for a waiter to come to our table. My friend ordered a salad and asked that the dressing be on the side - when the salad came to the table, the dressing was on it so it was sent back to the kitchen but the salad was good so no harm done. I had asked that we be given separate bills - when the bill came it was one bill but the waiter did gave us two bills. The restaurant was noisy - I'm not sure what you can do about that. I would return to the restaurant because the food is good and it is in a great location, close to the theatres and Roy Thomson Hall. We were at the restaurant on November 15th, our reservation was for 5:15 p.m.
Business lunch but we waited more than 1/2 hour for our meals. Then we had to eat very fast in order to get back to work.
Also the tables were close together so the waitresses hit my chair every few minutes which was very annoying.
The music was very bland and quiet for a Saturday night. Other moxies locations are usually more suited towards a fun, late night crowd.
Thomas, our server was wonderful. Only working that Moxie’s for two weeks and we thought he did an amazing job considering we were 8 very senior citizens with dietary issues and hearing issues. He was attentive and friendly and made us all feel valued and comfortable. Thomas is a great asset to your restaurant. Food was excellent . Everyone enjoyed their entrees and the wine deal was the best. We will return for sure.
Went here after The Mirvish Theatre and had a lovely dinner.
Had submitted a special events request for the reservation but was never acknowledged
The waiter did what he could but we arrived at noon and didn't get our food until 1pm. Drinks were brought to the table quickly but taking our order and then getting our food took a very long time. by the time we finished it was 1:45p.
On the positive side the food was excellent.
Great friendly service. Server was very patient and curtious.
Food and service was great but we found it very noisy.
It took the server like 15 mins to get us the bill after requesting it, and when she brought it, she didn't even bring the debit/credit machine. It wasn't even busy. There couldn't have been more than 12/15 other tables in use.
Had the portabella mushroom burger as I am not a vegetarian but really enjoyed the flavours and heartiness of the burger. Service was great and friendly. Was able to reserve a table for 4 half an hour before the time slot. Recommend this place to vegetarians as well as ones who enjoy meat.
Could have used a little more attention from our server. We generally like a slow-paced evening. But it was a little unusual to find ourselves clock-watching at the end of the evening (GO train). However, management was very responsive to an order error that resulted in one of our party having to miss his meal altogether.
If you need a taste of the suburbs, come to Moxies. If you want a good lunch, there are 3 better places in less than a block. Full on skip it.
The food is okay. A large selection but nothing out of the ordinary. The location in the core of Toronto is great, and the service was very good and timely for a business lunch. It is my go to place for a reasonably priced lunch in the downtown core.
