Had the portabella mushroom burger as I am not a vegetarian but really enjoyed the flavours and heartiness of the burger. Service was great and friendly. Was able to reserve a table for 4 half an hour before the time slot. Recommend this place to vegetarians as well as ones who enjoy meat.
Could have used a little more attention from our server. We generally like a slow-paced evening. But it was a little unusual to find ourselves clock-watching at the end of the evening (GO train). However, management was very responsive to an order error that resulted in one of our party having to miss his meal altogether.
If you need a taste of the suburbs, come to Moxies. If you want a good lunch, there are 3 better places in less than a block. Full on skip it.
The food is okay. A large selection but nothing out of the ordinary. The location in the core of Toronto is great, and the service was very good and timely for a business lunch. It is my go to place for a reasonably priced lunch in the downtown core.
I reserved a table through the open table app, when I arrived the restaurant there were a lot of empty tables. The person who sat us stuck us all the way in the back at a desolate table and there was like 4-6 open booths at the front. I requested to be moved to a booth in the front and was told they were all reserved. I asked was this via reservation and she said yes. I am curious as to why the reservation on open table is not held to the same standard as some other methods to making reservations.
Arrived for a late night dinner. Food took a while to arrive, but was fantastic. Our waiter was super on top of refilling drinks (before we were empty and had to even ask), but we found it super strange we weren’t brought condiments considering we ordered burgers and fries. Overall a great experience. Slow at times, but to be expected after 10PM on a Saturday.
Great service good food definitely be there for another outing!
Food and service was great. Music was too loud, could barely hear the people beside you. Also, it could be a bit brighter
Great meal and service
Food was delicious and service was nice, however waited about 35mins for the food to come which was slightly frustrating when we only have an hour for lunch.
Quick lunch with the wife.... good value and good experience
Excellent scene- great for casual business lunch. Very attentive staff, good tasty food and clean bright modern interior!
The service we received was great. We were not rushed or felt like they were trying to vacate the table
It was quiet when we went. The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and helpful with all of our questions. The kale quinoa salad was delicious and I was enviously eyeing my friend’s street tacos and broccoli cheddar side. We were able to have an intimate conversation in a comfortable booth, close to the waterfront where we walked afterwards. Location is great and all diners were animated and smiling.
Handled my allergy concerns well but the food was not up the same quality as other Moxies I have visited. Most items were barely warm.
I was pleasantly surprised by my food choice. The sushi rolls were packed full of flavour and satisfying! Our server was friendly and attentive!
Very loud. Good food but just too loud.
We were a party of 2 that were seating at a half booth table for 4. There was an open table of 2 beside us.
About 15-20 min into our meal a hostess came and asked to separate the table we assumed that they needed the table for 4 ppl however this was not the case. Another party of 2 came and sat down they were practically on top of us. Why weren’t these 2 ppl seated at the table for 2??? The rest of the meal just went downhill from tbere.
Our server Megan was OUTSTANDING!! Overall everyone who works here treated us very well. The food was REALLY REALLY GOOOOD!! The ambience inside looked nice but we ate outside and enjoyed it a lot. Definitely coming here again when I come back to Toronto!
We wanted to get a quiet area (as we mentioned it in the reservation) but they gave us a table in the hallway that has lots of traffic. We asked to be seated in the corner or by the window as they were all empty. But we were told those are with reservations (??? We had reservations too...). So we complained and the manager came and switched for us.
After that it was a pleasant experience.
Atmosphere was good but the food was a little lacking. Not worth the price for what it was. Great ambiance
It was a good dinner and ambiance
Sat on the back of the patio with my husband. Our server matteo was great. Got a bottle of presseco and the mango chicken, both tasty.
The chipotle mango chicken waa veey good. But perhaps the muaic can be toned down just a bit to allow for easier conversation.
Lots of table confusion but all worked out to our satisfaction
Great seating for group of friends to Talk and laugh together. Appetizers were excellent. Services were attentive and aware, definitely more than food deliver-ers.
Our server, Matteo, was outstanding.
For a new bartender, I’d say he/she did an admirable job on our cocktails. The only thing wrong was the garnishes.
The steaks were a little overdone but still, not bad.
Service was pretty good. We had a hard time finding our server a time or two but she made up for it by being very pleasant and courteous.
Overall, a good experience.
Great food. Great service but very loud.
My chicken was raw, sweet potato fries were cold, my glass was stained with lipstick and had not been cleaned properly and the veggies were not fresh either, the blue cheese tasted expired. It was just a total disappointment.
I go to many different locations so I can compare the quality and I would expect a minimum level of consistency. The seared ginger tuna salad was a sad salad today. Smallest tuna pieces I have ever seen, the salad looked and tasted old. I also had a gin and tonic which was completely flat. Could not have been more disappointed with the quality of food. Please improve.
my two friends and I have been lunching together for many years and we all work near the downtown core. None of us had tried Moxies before so we thought, why not? Service was great, the food amazing and it was relatively quick. When they found out we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us a complimentary dessert to share. We barely finished it! Moxies we will be back!
A lovely late evening dinner to welcome our daughter back from Ireland. Geoff was an attentive server. Food was delicious.
Moxie’s has always proven to be an amazing restaurant for me, especially due to the delicious desserts. I intend to go yet again next time given I find some excuse to go out and eat.
Family Dinner...food was good..service was ok
Moxies celebrated Mother’s Day with a special menu, a flowering plant for every Mom and some fun cards that Mom’s can lay down for family time and tech help.... lives it all and the food was great. Thanks for a very special Mother’s Day.
Great spot but the noise made conversation at the table difficult. Need some noise cancellation from roof down.
Otherwise, a great spot.
Bit too loud but everyone was great! Food was great
My ordered rice bowl was too salty and poor service and attending.
Food was so so. Movie's in Square One and Hurontario with 401 have better place and food. I was so disappointed with this Movie's.
