   We had an excellent early dinner experience with a 5pm seating. The drinks and food were excellent, and the service was great. Such a fun “institution” in the French Quarter. Everyone should try it!

   This has always been my go to place when I visit New Orleans. It was a very sub par experience this time. Food was lukewarm, the bar b q shrimp were over cooked and it took a long time for them to bring our food. Very disappointing.

   It’s a bit of an old school dining experience with all the traditional pomp and circumstance, which isn’t really our thing. Our waiter was very nice and the service was good. The food was so-so considering the price. My husband had the barbecue shrimp they’re known for and said it was good, but not really anything great. There’s other lower cost places that knock it put of the park, as an example. I had the crawfish pasta and it had good flavor. Not bad, but probably wouldn’t return as there are so many other options

   We dined at Mr. B’s before to kill a mockingbird at the Saenger. We had a fantastic meal, and were still able to make the show. Our service was impeccable! I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits! The fried green tomato appetizer is delicious. You must have the hummingbird cake, it’s superb!

   The BBQ shrimp is an experience worth having. The gumbo ya ya was terrific. The profiteroles and white chocolate brownie completed the meal nicely.

   Appetizer dish was tasteless and limp. I ordered a gin & tonic w/Bombay Sapphire gin, but the drink that I was served was NOT Bombay Sapphire. The fish was dry and tasteless.

   We booked a table for the Sunday Jazz Brunch. First, the positives....we were seated promptly and the service was very good. I think it's a stretch to call what we experienced a 'jazz brunch', however. The band only played one song that we could hear while we were there for 90 minutes. I know the band moves around to different spots in the restaurant, so they did play at least two other songs that we couldn't hear, but for the last hour or so they were nowhere to be seen. Kind of disappointing - as we'd really been looking forward to the experience. I had the Chicken Pontalba, which I enjoyed. Boyfriend ordered the corned beef hash and was very disappointed. The other thing I should mention is that it was FREEZING in the restaurant. We both had on long sleeves and were uncomfortably cold throughout. There were women in the restaurant that had blankets wrapped around them....'or their husbands' jackets on. All in all, there are just too many other jazz brunch options in New Orleans for me to recommend Mr. B's.

    Very nice experience. Fish was delicious, drinks were great. My husband was annoyed I made him wear a collared shirt as many men had ringer tees on and baseball hats, despite what the online dress code states. He survived! Service was very good too! Would go again should we return to NOLA. 👍🦄😊

    Terrance took great care of us. We had the seafood gumbo, BBQ shrimp, wedge salad and pecan pie. It was all excellent but probably some of the best gumbo I have had. We ate at Mister Bs the last time we were in New Orleans. It will be a must whenever we are in town.

    Our lunch at Mr. B's was absolutely excellent, as it has always been. We make it a point to eat at Mr. B's every time we visit NOLA. We have never once been disappointed. The food is always fresh, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The service always professional, fun, and quick. You cannot go wrong with Mr. B's!!

    I have dined at Mr B's for over 20 years. This was a very disappointing meal. I hate to make a negative review. Our food was not up to the usual and was served barely warm. Maybe we should have said something but I hate to complain. Our Server Terrence was great and I think he probably realized we were disappointed because we left well over 50% of our food on our plates.

    Mr. B's is always a good bet for any meal. They have consistently excellent food and service - our pair of servers was very responsive and anticipated what we needed, including refills of the amazing bargain of $1.50 Bloody Marys.

    Overall this was a really good experience. Our food was very good. The front of the house person was not welcoming but otherwise the service was good. We loved the person who served us. He was friendly and efficient. One person ordered the bar-b-q shrimp and had the greatest, messiest time!

    If you regularly dine at nice restaurants wherever you live - and you are visiting NO - there is no reason to go here. Nothing special and it not very good. Feels like the restaurants my parents took me to growing up in the 1970s.

    We love Mr B’s but this visit was not our favorite. We were seated at a table in the serving section when a better table was unused our entire visit. Our server was indifferent and distracted.

    Excellent meal and service. We shared duck spring rolls, grilled fish and quiche. Finale was the magnificent bread pudding. Wait staff was professional, bubbly and informative. Jazz music was a perfect addition as they were quietly playing background music entertaining the guests. Mothers Day Jazz Brunch. Perfect!
