   Food was good. Service was good…their system of a drink waiter and food waiter is something more restaurants should try. Had the pre-fixe menu with gumbo, pecan-crusted drum, and crème brûlée. Again, good, but can’t give the 5th star. $50 for a three course meal is a good price!

   Muriel's was outstanding. The choices available for brunch were outstanding. I had the Crab Dip appetizer and the Duck Hash entree. My wife had the Seafood Gumbo appetizer and Goat Cheese and Crawfish Crepes entree. Both appetizers and entrees were very, very good. The ambience was outstanding as the 3-piece jazz band played from different places in the restaurant including right next to our table. They also took requests and sang happy birthday tableside for another table. The service was excellent and the white chocolate bread pudding for dessert was a great ending.

   The food was awful. Appetizers were cold and mushy, snapper was so tough it was difficult to chew and items that should be crisp were soggy and wet from sitting too long or not being properly drained. Our waiters were fabulous, we can’t say enough good things about the service, however the food was terrible and we will never eat here again. While there were plenty of kids at dinner (our included) there was a baby screaming and shrieking at the top of their lungs the entire 1.5 hours we were there. Having kids ourselves we were understanding but the parents did nothing to try and help calm him down while the host ran to the tables apologizing for the noise. Not the ambiance for a $200 dinner that also had terrible food.

   We visited Muriel’s for a birthday dinner and it was fantastic! Perfect for the entire family for a special occasion. The food was amazing as was the service and the kids loved the “haunted” story.

    The good: My wife and I both purchased the prix fix option from the menu. The onion and tomato tart appetizer was one of the best we have ever had. My wife l loved the shrimp and grits. I chose the double-cut pork chops and the pork chops were Cooked to perfection and delicious. Dessert choices were good and the chocolate cake was perfect! Management personnel picked up slack from apathetic server by engaging with us and clearing dishes after use. The not so good: Waitress clearly not pleased that my wife and I don’t drink alcoholic beverages so, her attention and politeness towards us was absent. She took every opportunity to slam a dish or utensil on the table when serving. We noticed other couples enjoying the bread and we had to ask for a serving of bread for our table. Although management was attentive, my wife and I noticed the young man hovering near our table and watching as I ate my final pieces of pork. I might add that although the pork was delicious the side dishes lacked creativity and were not edible. (Mushy and bland mustard greens and sweet potatoes with apples and Cajun spice) Not the best options. The sides were my primary reason for eating so slow. Anyway, they pushed and pushed and managed to get out $140.00 for only 66 minutes yo our dining experience We will dine elsewhere the next time we are in New Orleans. R. Jones

    Just simply amazing. Party of 9, including a chef, everyone’s meal was impeccable. The service impeccable, food impeccable. My pork chop was amazing. My wife had the bread pudding and fell in love with it.

    We really enjoyed our dinner at Muriel's. We had two people who had allergy concerns and the staff was very helpful in helping them choose what to eat. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We liked the table dividers, between guests that provided privacy and coziness. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long for it. I recommend making reservations.

    Shrimp and Grits and Bananas Foster Pain Perdu were very good. The Half Chicken was the best seasoned chicken I’ve ever tasted (at 70 years of age). The jazz trio was very enjoyable. Thank you Muriel’s!

    Food was very good, but the menu was more limited than expected or indicated online. The two entrees I intended to choose between - one seen on Open Table and the other the restaurant’s website - were not on the menu I the Monday night I went. Not wanting the three course, I ended up enjoying a soup and plate made of three appetizers. Service was efficient, not warm. But the food was very good and I enjoyed the meal.

    Very nice restaurant with beautiful design in each room and delicious food. Unfortunately the party sitting next to our table was super loud, and we asked to be moved, which the restaurant staff accommodated without hesitation. Service was good, food was super good, and the staff was friendly.

    Merrills is my go to restaurant in the French quarter. The food is amazing! I could never choose between the goat cheese crapes, the double cut pork chops, the veggie pasta, or the catfish in Crystal hot sauce q butter sauce.

    We had the most wonderful meal. My husband had the pork chop and this is the 4th time he has ordered it. It has been amazing every time! I have had many dishes and all of them have been outstanding. My personal favorite is starting with the onion tart followed by shrimp and grits and finishing with bread pudding. Ask for a wine recommendation or get a Sazerac and enjoy the ambiance and first class service.

    Excellent food and wine. The tour to see the ghost table and seance room is super cool! The only complaint is we had to eat almost half our meals with water before our wine and drinks were finally delivered. That was the first thing ordered but last to be serviced. I had the duck which was outstanding.

    Great late lunch! Great wine selection, the lamb shank and the duck were cooked perfectly. Very tender and flavorful. The staff took care of us and we both agree this was one of the best meals on our vacation.
