Zia's Stonehouse Restaurant gets its name from the delightful building in which it is housed. The 1916 stone building in Summerland, British Columbia has an interesting history. The basement was dug completely by hand, with only the aid of a horse to haul away the debris. The walls are 18" thick providing for a comfortable temperature all year long. It was converted to Zia's Stonehouse Restaurant in 1998 with a patio, weather permitting.
