Ambar offers a highly selective list of wines showcasing the Balkan region. Over 80 wines are available by the bottle from Serbia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Croatia. A selection of six bottled beers, one from the Balkan region, is also available. Additionally, the libations at Ambar incorporate house-made infusions and fresh juices, which are made from scratch and prepared in-house daily.

Also inquire about the unique communal wine lunch experiences on Saturday afternoons that can be booked only directly with management because they book up quickly. Brothers Salvio and Giovanni Ippolito from Naples, Italy, have paired up with Louie Hankins (owner of El Techo) and a yet-to-be-named chef coming from a Michelin-starred kitchen, to open Quattro Osteria in late spring. The brothers will finally have a restaurant of their own, much like their father did in Naples. “My mom is not happy, it’s more than happy,” Giovanni says. “It’s almost more her dream than my dream. She knows we’ll have each other’s backs. For the most important things in life, we need to be together.”
Located in Mount Vernon Triangle, Bar Chinois is a short walk from the Washington Convention Center, Capital One Arena, National Mall and Union Station. We offer happy hour specials Monday-Saturday from 5 pm-7 pm and a bottomless brunch on Sundays.
