Best restaurants near me in Nanaimo, Canada

We have had better food here, while still tasty, it’s brisket did not have much Texas bold flavour at all. Our server was only there to take our order, being our food and give us the bill. She did not ask if we wanted more to drink, or even dessert. We had to ask to sit at a lower table because I would not touch the ground. Having a reservation didn’t matter to them at all. Even after showing them I had one. We travelled from up island to come here for dinner because it has always been amazing. Not this time!

A very good meal. The beef short-rib was excellent as always, my spuose loved her halibut, and our guest's steak was very good (although the tough piece of gristle on first bite was a surprise). The ambiance was very good, quiet with soft and tasteful music wafting through. And then of course, there's the view. It can't be beat!

We sat under the patio tent with a direct view of the ocean, warmed by their fire lamps, eating amazing food. Prices were lower than I expected as well. Why is this place not packed? I'll be back soon.

My husband’s birthday….our server was excellent… her name Zerai V. the food was excellent. When the dressing on my salad was too spicy, our server immediately brought me another… perfect! We will be back. Our grandson said his burger was the best ever! Thank you!

Original Joe's has a FUN vibe...GREAT food and EXCELLENT servers! I also LOVE their menu...there is something for everyone. Lovely kid's menu, too. It's always a positive visit at Original Joe's.
