- JJudithWashington, D.C. Area •10 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe received excellent service from beginning to end. The food was delicious, cooked to perfection. And the dessert - Emkek - was well worth the calories - not overly sweet, combining phyllo pastry with a pistachio cream.More infoCava Mezze- RockvillePrice: Moderate• Greek• Rockville•4.8

Our family gathered last night in the Garden Room at L’Auberge Chez François in Great Falls, VA, to celebrate the 40th birthday of our youngest son, Peter Mark Grange. What unfolded was nothing short of extraordinary—a dining experience that rivaled even The Inn at Little Washington, with an atmosphere of warmth, impeccable service, and culinary artistry that made it even more memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with gracious hospitality. The evening began with a delightful Amuse-bouche, an unexpected and delicious aperitif that set the stage for the creative and refined cuisine we were about to enjoy. Each course was beautifully crafted, and the palate-cleansing citrus sorbet between dishes was a refreshing and elegant touch, heightening our anticipation for what came next. Our server, Samy, was among the finest we’ve ever encountered at any top-tier restaurant. His deep knowledge of the kitchen’s culinary expertise and the restaurant’s extensive menu was matched only by his remarkable emotional intelligence—his engagement with each member of our party was warm, intuitive, and effortless. Likewise, the sommelier was a master of his craft, guiding us through the extensive wine selection with expertise and charm, enhancing the evening with his humor and genuine hospitality. Every dish was a masterpiece, from presentation to taste—each bite reflecting the dedication and skill of Chef Jacques Haeringer and his outstanding team. The attention to detail, the exquisite flavors, and the seamless service made for an unforgettable evening. We left with full hearts and a deep appreciation for the magic that happens at L’Auberge Chez François. Our heartfelt thanks to Chef Jacques, his incredible staff, and the entire team for making this a night we will cherish forever. - SSheriVIPWashington, D.C. Area •66 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoMy husband and I were celebrating both Valentine’s Day and we our 3-year anniversary. We started our evening with a bottle of red wine and the delicious spicy shrimp appetizer, per our server’s suggestion. Our fillets were cooked to perfection. To accompany our entree, we shared two side dishes, the loaded baked potato and the creamed spinach-yum. And ended our meal with the sinfully delicious cheesecake. The service was outstanding- thank you Henry we had a memorable evening. The long stem red rose was a nice touch!More infoRuth's Chris Steak House - GaithersburgPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Gaithersburg•4.7
- TTheresaBaltimore / Maryland •7 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThis was our 2nd time visiting this restaurant. Hubby and I went for Valentine's Day. I know they're trying to fit a lot of two-person tables on that day, but it felt awkward to be in the middle of two other couples. It was lovely to be created by a red rose on the table that I can bring home. The service was kind and quick. We received our dishes within 10 minutes. Unfortunately my steak was undercooked. It was corrected immediately, but it just didn't have the wow factor that a $45 fillet should have. Hubby had a burger with fries and said that it tasted nice as well. Definitely better than the average restaurant but he also felt it was missing a wow factor to send it over the top in flavor. The food tasted nice. Definitely better than other restaurants. Like a 4 out of a 5 for taste. We did feel a little rushed to get out with the bill arriving as soon as our meal was over because we were not having dessert. Again, this is probably because it was Valentine's Day. The staff was kind and considerate and nice the entire time though. We would definitely return. But I probably wouldn't get the filet again, because it wasn't quite the quality that it should have been.More infoCopper Canyon Grill - GaithersburgPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Gaithersburg•4.5
