Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine. The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

We had a fantastic time at the restaurant. They ran out of the specials for the night, so you know it was a packed evening! But the chef substituted the meals for something just as festive. We had the best waitress and even more so a runner named Drexel who was so polite and helpful when our waitress was busy. That man deserves a big raise!

Copper Vine is a lovely place in the CBD. We were seated immediately in one if the two rear dining rooms. It was not crowded. Our appetizers: the onion soup (delicious), the crawfish beignets (delicious) and the fried oysters and pork bellies (the oysters were small and disappointing) Our mains: short rib pasta (great flavor but the entree arrived very lukewarm), arugula salad with added oysters (oysters were not disappointing) and the scallops risotto tasty (also not very warm). We mentioned to cold entrees and the manager to make up for it compted dessert which was very nice and very delicious. All in all, I would recommend Copper Vine.

Wonderful experience from the front door throughout! The ambiance was 5 Stars. We made reservations for Thanksgiving dinner (night) and were greeted and seated quickly. The waiter (Devon) and his partner were great in explaining options and key items, including taking note of allergies at the table. The food options were great and plentiful. We started with crab fingers and Pork Belly over cheese grits. Followed by the Turducken with cranberry sauce, sweet potato souffle, and oyster dressing. The second plate of Turducken came with spinach, crab mac, and cheese, which were all very tasty. We were full and had to take our desserts to go. The wait staff was pleasant, attentive, swift, and responsive. I really appreciated the level of service and quality. I highly recommend it and will return when I am back in town!

When booking with OpenTable, we weren't able to get a reservation until 815. We are from Eastern standard time so we're quite hungry. We stopped in at 5:30 to see if we could change our reservation and they were able to change it to 630. So polite and accommodating from the first moment. The service was exquisite, so friendly and happy. I wish I had gotten the waitress's name. And everyone was happily accommodating when my daughter wanted her steak cooked a little bit more. My lobster was fantastic. Perfectly cooked. Just wish it had been bigger. Overall worthy expense and fun to go to old historic restaurant.

We love this place. Every time we come to NOLA this is one of our must dine place. Dennis was our server and he made us feel like VIPs. The food is alway amazing so you can’t go wrong with anything they have on the menu. The lobster dumplings are a must experience. The biscuits are alway delectable. I encourage if you are in NOLA add this to your itinerary.
