Chefs and best friends Holly and Toby set out with the simple goal of creating interesting food they want people to enjoy and engage with. Their aim is to bring provenance and integrity to the forefront of their creations, utilising their combined knowledge of preservation and fermentation to make light, fresh dishes packed with flavour.

Friendly, informal service in a beautiful historic building located midway between the pier and the marina. The Bristol is a sophisticated venue that welcomes well behaved dogs and children aged 12 and over for lunch. The evenings are reserved for the grown ups. Formerly The Bristol Hotel, our art deco bar still retains it's classic ambience to make the most of the sea views and offers guests something that little bit special.

In 1976 Michael Garman returned to Brighton and opened IL Bistro
after being inspired by the Italian and French culture and cuisine
during his travels to the Provence and the western coast of Italy.
His goal was to open Brighton’s first Mediterranean steakhouse.
For the first time, Brightonians were able to order fresh pasta,
arancini, dry aged beef, tiramisu and negronis.
47 years later and now being operated by Michael's son Abe,
IL Bistro still stands by the same principles, using local suppliers
and produce, fresh ingredients and the best available dry
aged British beef. The restaurant is situated in an 18th century
fisherman’s cottage which we find rather fitting after Michael
spent years in Portofino, Livorno and Saint-Tropez, Europe’s
most famous fishing villages.

Since reopening from covid we ask for a £10 per person deposit in our busier times which gets deducted from your bill at the end of your meal.

Pho is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant that specialise in pho noodle soup, the national dish of Vietnam. Aside from pho, you can also expect to find amazing sharing starters, healthy salads, hearty rice bowls and decadent curries. They have a range of freshly made juices and also Vietnamese beers and a large wine and cocktail list. Pho’s menu is 40% vegan and nearly entirely gluten-free too. They also have an accessible kids’ menu where children can get a meal and a drink for £5.50.

Beautifully arranged over three floors, Bohemia delivers food menu available until 9pm each day. The award winning food is prepared fresh and in house, with quality ingredients.     Excellent food and fantastic presentation. The Ivy Brighton is beautifully decorated and feels luxurious and not pretentious. All our food was delicious and personally recommend the sesame prawn toasts the best I’ve ever had !     We had a Christmas dinner with 16 people. The place was lovely decorated and the table that was prepared for us was really nice and appropriate for a business dinner. The food was good while variety was offered for different tastes and dietary requirements. The service was simply exceptional. I would say that the cost per person without drinks was a little higher than anticipated but overall we have been all fully satisfied.

    Excellent food and top notch service. The drinks were varied and deliscious and the price is about right for a treat. The staff were patient with us, and the loos were decorated in a fun way. They forgot a drink at one point but generally we had a superb time and I will be going back.
