Food was bad, expensive, small portions , poor taste and freshness

Just by observing their dishes, you can tell that the chef and kitchen stuff love what they do. If you are into French type cuisine this might be the best choice in the area. Now if you are hungry I wouldn’t suggest going there. Portions are small. The appetizers are a solid 4, sometimes when you try to achieve uniqueness you lose the subject, in this case they tried very hard to come up with unique creations, however unique doesn’t always translate to perfection. Main course… everything was great, perfectly prepared and presented. Deserts are amazing!!!! I will be back just for the deserts!! Definitely will be back.

Efficient and kind service by Isabelle. Cavatelli with shrimp was very good; better when pasta is cooked to a slightly softer texture. Focaccia is lovely. We ate at Le Comptoir twice during our stay - the first night was a mixed menu that had crossover dishes from Axe and the Choux Gras. Halibut and burger that night were well-prepared prepared and tasty. Axe steamed bao buns were a big hit and could easily be a meal. The Italian-only menu the next night was more limited but margherita pizza was lovely. Ask to dine in the smaller room as it’s more intimate.

We tried the « experience menu » and it was very good! Filet mignon was perfect! Staff was very nice and quick. We ate outside and they was no music at all so the ambiance was a bit weird but everything else was perfect.

We really enjoyed the service; it was personal, professional, and allowed for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. Amazing food and great wine in a beautiful location!
