This was the most amazing dining experience I have had in a very long while (probably in over a decade since I went to Porterhouse in NYC!). I took my better half here for her 40th birthday. There is GREAT detail that goes into customer service. They go BEYOND and ABOVE what is necessary. Also extra compliments to Chef Art, one of the most humble persons I've ever met! My better half would ONLY eat red meat that was well-done or medium-well...well, not any more after this visit. She not only ate her main course tenderloin, medium, we also had the lamb chop appetizer, medium, and she ate all of that too...it was the FIRST time ever and it really opened her palette up and she ate vegetables she would not usually eat too :-) Wine selection INCREDIBLE. They complimented her with a birthday dessert dish that was AMAZING TWO things that was a little off: 1. For both of us was the cheese on the Loaded Potatoe we could have done without or it was just too much, THOUGH, It was still amazing though, especially with the bacon fat pieces 2. Interesting that BLU Prime Steakhouse makes a big deal out of the dress code yet does not enforce it, there were people there in shorts, athletic wear, sandals/flip flops, and yet this is listed as not their dress code? This was worth EVERY single penny we spend and will happily experience dining here again but I want to make sure I also shared what were some other observable criticisms :-)

I truly enjoy going to the full belly Cafe and Bar. I've taken many family and friends there. My most recent lunch experience was a little disappointing with the long wait time we had to get our food. We had a 1230 reservation on a Thursday afternoon, the restaurant wasn't packed, we ordered our lunch and a mimosa and it took a good 15 to 20 minutes to even get our mimosa. the food arrived a out 10 min after and is always excellent quality. I wish the servers were a little more attentive. They're all super nice and friendly but it's just a slow moving place in my opinion.

Discover North San Antonio

San Antonio, known for attractions like the Alamo and the River Walk, contains a vibrant mix of Western, Southern, and Mexican cultural influences, all of which are evident in North San Antonio's eclectic cuisine. First, try some of that famous chicken fried steak, a savory dish that Texans take very seriously. Also, you'll want to taste some authentic Mexican food as the region is known for dishing out fresh guacamole, cheese enchiladas, shrimp tacos, and naturally, margaritas. Finally, don't forget to sample some rich, Texas-style barbecue. Steakhouses and barbecue restaurants commonly serve up South-Texas-inspired sauces with a rich molasses flavor.
