Café Mars is an unusual Italian restaurant, nestled in the heart of the historically Italian neighborhood of Gowanus, Brooklyn. Since May 2023, we have sought to honor tradition while expanding the definition of what an Italian restaurant can be.
Whereas many Italian restaurants tend to use a magnifying glass to zoom in on specific regions and traditions, we instead reach for a telescope. Café Mars menus shine a light on overlooked classics and unexpected flavors that aim to reframe what it means to go out for Italian.

   Parklife is an indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar in Gowanus. We offer tacos, tlacoyos and tlayudas inspired by Mexican, Persian and Texan flavors. We feature seasonal cocktails, local beers and small batch spirits. Open all year round, we also host free weekly and monthly events to make your dining experience truly unique. All events are free to attend. Food and drink purchase required.
   Reservations are available for groups less than 18 people. Walk-ins are welcome pending capacity. Dogs, smoking, unruly children and assholes are not allowed. View house rules and safety guidelines at www.ParklifeBK.com/info.
   Reservations are held for 15 minutes. There is a cancellation fee if your group cancels with less than 24 hours notice or does not show up. Contact us in advance if your party size increases. Otherwise we cannot guarantee that everyone will be seated together.
