- SSusanVIPWashington, D.C. Area •40 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI got the Valentine's special - Appetizer, main course, and dessert. There were so many good choices that it was difficult to decide. The deviled eggs were good. The salmon w. carrots and rice was excellent, along w. the apple bread pudding w. homemade vanilla ice cream. The service was excellent and very pleasant and prompt in spite of a birthday party taking place in the larger room and other diners coming and going. The overall experience was quite good and well worth more visits. The 3 course special for $30 was well worth it.More infoHamrock's RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Fairfax•4.6
- CCarloAtlanta •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoValentine’s Day 2025. I had the good sense to make a reservation weeks earlier to actually get a table! Food - Amazing. Drinks - Fantastic. Service - Top Notch - and the BEST part is I made a special request that I didn’t think would be noticed in the online reservation, but it WAS, and she was very pleasantly surprised! We got looks of envy from the surrounding tables. I would and probably will go back again year after year now. This was an amazing guest experience. Did I mention the food is amazing? 🦾More infoDraper's Steak and SeafoodPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Fairfax•4.4

- MMargaretWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOur food was delicious, fresh, generous portions. We had roasted half chicken and avocado toast. We both asked for substitutions/add-ons which were accommodated. I was offered an alternative add-on because the one I initially requested was seasonal. Drinks and desserts were also good regarding taste and serving size. Our waiter was very pleasant and regularly checked on us without being intrusive. The manager also stopped by our table and other customers to check that everything was ok. It’s a diner, so noise levels are what one might expect, but we could easily converse without raising our voices. It has a retro diner vibe with posters/photos/vinyl of iconic performers at Carnegie Hall (original diner in New York is near the concert hall). It’s becoming a favorite neighborhood spot so it’s always busy and the one negative is that parking in this popular local shopping center is relatively limited so it can be hard to find a space during peak hours.More infoCarnegie Diner & Café – 501 Maple Ave W, Vienna, VAPrice: Moderate• American• Vienna•4.2

Discover Fairfax
Located across the Potomac River about an hour west of Washington, D.C., Fairfax lets you take a quiet break from the bustling national capital. However, don't assume that a small town means limited restaurants. Fairfax is home to everything from Indian food to fine Italian dining to American favorites like hamburgers. For a true taste of down-home Virginia cooking, be sure to try a sweet potato biscuit. Virginia is home to half a dozen varieties of heirloom sweet potato, which taste best when cooked into a flaky biscuit and served as a ham sandwich. Many local restaurants serve Southern-influenced comfort food, but you can enjoy Italian, Indian and other international cuisine as well. Head down Route 236 or 29 to find a popular restaurant while you're in town.
