Neverland Tea Salon
Not your average tea salon, Neverland is an amalgamation of everything we love: celebration, decadence, ritual, whimsy and creativity. For those with dietary intolerances, our chef, Gordon Kuang, has also customized a complex blend of flours to create gluten-free options that are literally indistinguishable in taste and texture from our regular items. The idea is to have those with dietary restrictions not just feel included, but honoured for their differences. No dairy or gluten, and Vegan? We promise to wow you with indistinguishable variations of our high tea pastries, talk-of-the-town scones and full lunch menu. Seating times 1.5 hours, price is per person only.
What a wonderful experience. It was our first visit..and we will be back!
Amazing! Will definitely be back! Food was outstanding
V-day date nite. Husband wanted to try a tea salon and I booked it. We enjoyed it very much. This place had a nice selection of teas that complimented the desserts and savory menu items. We will definitely return to try more teas. Overall a pleasant outing!
Honestly, I think for the price the food could be a bit better. Amuse Bouche lacked seasoning. Desserts were just all sugar, it would be nice to have more balance, tart crust over powered the chocolate mousse, the mouse dome was ridiculously sweet but arguably the best dessert, the hat cake was super goopy and all you could taste was sweet coffee butter cream. The savouries and scones were delightful, only complaint there was the squid ink buns were dense and the texture was a bit weird. I do want the recipe for their plant based patty though, drool!!! All in all their savouries and scones never fail to impress, I wish they didn't rely so heavily on sugar for their desserts. A Panna cotta and a fresh fruit custard tart to break up how sweet every dessert is would help take their tea to the next level.
Busy pretty place. Well decorated.Service was nice but because the place is very busy, waitresses are running a bit everywhere. Food was quite good overall, but not much variety ( all cakes were quite heavy and with chocolate). Pretty great to be able to taste all the teas you want and not to be limited with one. 1h30 seating maximum.
Great spot for a special occasion. We celebrated my mom's birthday with 3 generations of ladies with bubbly high tea. It was lovely!
Amazing service! Excellent food and cute space! I would definitely return and will recommend this place to others!
The setting is quint. Food is very yummy. Servers are friendly.
An excellent place for tea lovers to hide away, especially on a week day afternoon which allows more time to enjoy. Was charmed by the service of the server who willingly brewed pots after pots of tea. She showed her love for what she was doing! The food was a good complement to the teas. A very enjoyable experience.
Neverland has always been a favorite. However, this time was extra amazing. They have a themed month this February. Where normally it’s a Peter Pan sort of theme (ie.Neverland) they’ve transformed it into a delightfully whimsical Mad Hatter theme with an according High Tea! The service as always was wonderful, the staff really treat you well and try to make your experience delightful.
Waaaaaay too expensive for what it is. I get it, Vancouver is bonkers with real estate but near $100 for a snack is lolwat.
They were very accommodating of my allergy and the food was amazing.
Service and decor were lovely.
Charming spot in comfortable surroundings. Interesting savoury combinations, though a little heavy on the bread. A huge hit with my 9 year old grand daughter who is already begging to come back on her next visit to Vancouver,
Tea was lovely and the presentation and ambience impressive. Thank you
Hi there we did enjoy our time there service was great, tea and sweets were wonderful but the sandwiches were very disappointing, very little filling in the cheese and cucumber ones ,chicken was the most flavor one, the rest had very little flavor and really need some improvement for what you pay! I have been to much better ones but if the sandwiches got better I would come back and refer other friends there as the place is nice and service was good!
I have been to Neverland Tea Salon a few times now and I am so happy every time. The food is delicious and even though there is timed visits, they don't make you feel too rushed. Our waitress Diva was absolutely amazing and a blast to be around, and she kept our tea changes quick! It can get a little loud when the room is full, but it's not unmanageable.
This is a lovely tea salon and used to be one of my favourites. However, since the last time I was there, they've changed their seating policy and now require that you leave after a mere 90 minutes. My friend and I felt very rushed through our birthday/welcome home celebration, with regular reminders that 'another party' was coming soon . The cheque was plopped down in front of us rather unceremoniously and we felt as if we were being ushered out. As a result, I don't think I would go back.
I always enjoy high tea at Neverland. We have had the same waiter each time, and he is excellent. It is a small space, and unfortunately a family chose to bring a baby who cried very loudly. Not the fault of the baby, but the noise did negatively impact our experience.
Was an amazing experience, service was exceptional, Ambiance perfect
definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a high tea
I like Neverland because of the gluten-free and dairy free options. I love going for tea & this is the only place that I know of that serves a delicious dairy free clotted cream—it’s the reason I keep coming back! This time though, the bread/scone seemed stale & a bit old—that was disappointing because it’s pricey! The toasted sandwich was good & the desserts. My daughters mini sandwiches were good (she ate them all).
Loved that you could savour more tha
one type of tea. Would love to return.
Nice place for a casual or high tea or lunch. The tea selection is extensive to the point of being a bit overwhelming. Good service. If you want to sit at the table, not at the bar, better to make a reservation, especially on weekends.
My boyfriend and I have done the afternoon tea a few times now. The food is always good and you get unlimited tea however the servers aren’t very attentive so getting more than one pot of tea is difficult. Overall the restaurant is super cute though!
I had the gluten free tea menu and the savoury options were delicious but the sweet options were less than to be desired. Tea was fantastic and we enjoyed our time.
It was extremely noisy. The staff were pleasant but poor things were run off their feet. We had to wait a long time for the slightest request (waited over 5 minutes for a fork and in the mean time the starter was cold. Tea refills and other items also took a really long time. Not the workers fault. Maybe they were just short staffed.
Due to the 1.5 hour seating allowance we did feel a little rushed. The overall experience was amazing and the birthday treat was very kind
My daughter has been her her friends several times and has been wanting to take me. We were finally able to get together. It was delightful! The flavours of the food were delicious, so tasty! The teas were lovely, a huge variety to pick from. A very pleasant way to spend a wet Vancouver day!
Get together of friends and our moms! Ages 60 to 95!!! Roxanne adjusted our appointment 30 minutes to better seat us at a more comfortable table. As requested our table was away from the door and drafts for the comfort of our moms and firm sturdy seats. Our server Deeva was most charming and attentive and very helpful in choosing from your lengthy tea menu. This is our favourite and exclusive choice for Afternoon Tea!!!!
This place has delicious food and great service. I love that you can have more than one type of tea with your high tea experience - and lots to choose from. Lovely spot!
I booked a table to have a special birthday date with my daughter. The food was great. Environment was lovely and we had a great time. So full from the tea tower we saved some of the treats and take away for dinner dessert. I would love to come back and try more teas.
Expensive. You are paying for the experience. The best feature: the unlimited tea!
The tea was amazing food was good but felt like it was missing something. Flavors seemed abrasive to each other.
best high tea in vancouver area
Always have the most beautiful time! The food, service and room is divine.
Avoid going at lunch time, too crowded, noisy and rushed
We really enjoyed the environment and the food was delicious! We loved the quiche and scones! Beautiful decor and the service was lovely!
Food was delicious and staff were very nice but the tea room was not adequately staffed. Multiple times (3-4 times) we had to get up to ask for different things at the front.
I don't think this is a reflection of your staff as when they did come around they were exceptional but for such a busy spot, it would serve your customers better to have more employees working especially on a Sunday.
The name implies this is a place that caters to children. Not so. This is an expensive place for a ladies lunch. My four-year-old granddaughter ate sugar cubes, raw cucumbers and orange juice.
The food was mediocre and when I asked that our uneaten sandwiches and soup be packaged, I was handed an empty to-go box and left on my own.
The tab came to $60 for the two of us....no alcohol and only a single chocolate truffle for dessert.
This was my first high tea experience and it was amazing! I took my mom for her birthday and we both loved it. The staff were super friendly, attentive and helpful. The atmosphere was pretty and unique. Our favourite tea was the London Fog! Can’t wait to go back again ❤️
