Once again, great service & great food. Skiff Bay oysters had good size, salinity & texture. I’d put their seafood gumbo up against any other, not only from a flavor aspect but also from the amount of seafood, sausage & okra in it. If you’re a fan of Brussels Sprouts, they have really good ones. My only disappointment was that the Schnitzel seems to have been taken off of the menu (hopefully not permanently). Bar is well stocked & cocktail selection is good. It’s hard to just nail down one absolute favorite place in NOLA, but if i could only have one, this is it.

One of our favorite spots! We usually come by a few times a year and are NEVER disappointed. This time we chose apps instead of mains. And of course cocktails! Bacon Braised Collard Greens from the daily specials. We also chose Smoked Fish Dip, Crispy Cod Sliders, Deviled Eggs, Korean Fried Chicken Wings and Pad Thai Cauliflower. For cocktails we started with English Turn, Tchoup and Albariño. All so good! It was also our 11 year anniversary and they surprised us with some cotton candy and a sparkler! Perfection!

Excellent meal! From the pre dinner cocktails all the way through to dessert at the end, we really enjoyed our first dining experience from Mr B’s bistro. The mahi mahi was excellent & the seafood jambalaya delicious. We shared the strawberry cake for dessert & loved it! Everything was delicious and well prepared. I would definitely recommend Mr. B’s & we will be back the next time we are in New Orleans!

Alvin and Fairy were friendly and knowledgeable. Alvin told us about the history of the restaurant and about the signature dish - Oysters Rockefeller created in 1889, which was delicious. Fairy took us on a tour of the restaurant with interesting stories about the history of Madi Gras. Eggs Benedict, French Toast and Bread Pudding were great!

Breakfast at Brennans is one of the legendary things one must do in New Orleans. This Monday that what we planned to do. From arrival through departure our experience was excellent. The service was professional yet friendly and thorough. Coffee was poured when one quarter cup was reached. Water was filled the same. We ate in the courtyard which did not feature white tablecloths, but the service was just that: white tablecloth! The food, as expected, was perfectly prepared and presented. It was also very tasty! The sunny side-up duck egg on the duck confit hash was perfectly prepared and made the dish perfectly photogenic. The seafood gumbo was also well presented and the biscuit was huge. To dine at Brennan’s without the legendary Bananas Foster would be a sin and we were sinless. The table-side preparation and story were amazing. The resulting dessert (for breakfast, no less) was wonderful. Legend we have met you and your name is Brennan’s!

Discover New Orleans

French, Spanish and Creole influences evolved New Orleans cuisine into a genre all its own. Combine Gulf coast seafood, a butter-based sauce and Cajun spices, and you’re looking at a classic Nola dish. Take the famed crawfish boil, for instance, which locals advise is best eaten as a family. In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, the restaurant industry banded together to support their city in the wake of serious devastation. New restaurants began opening their doors, and today you’ll find a wealth of cuisines that span the classics to modern reinventions to everything in between.
