Great spot for a pre-theater dinner. Very reasonably priced for dinner in Manhattan. Tacos al pastor were packed with meat and amazingly delicious. Also highly recommend some elote to start.
The food and service were great. We went on a Friday night at 7:00 and were very surprised that the place was only half-full, as we usually see a nice crowd there (the porch was closed due to cool weather). The live music wasn’t great, though.
Good good, spacious restaurant. However, The two ladies who were the hosts and seating arriving clients could not be more cold and rude to us when we arrived, and we had a reservation. Someone needs to talk to them. They barely acknowledged us when we arrived.
We went to Toloache after seeing Hamilton and it was a great experience! We were seated 5 minutes before our reservation time and our server came over quickly to get our drink orders. The passion fruit margarita was so good! The food was out of this world. We ordered the Queso Fundido and my husband commented that it was the best bite of food he’d ever had. Not too salty-perfectly balanced. Our only critique was the rojo spicy guacamole was not hot at all. It was still delicious but we wanted a real kick. The Birria taco was the best I’ve ever had and honestly is a must try if you visit. Everyone that worked there was pleasant and made us feel so welcomed. Also the playlist was great
We had a wonderful experience and tasty meal. Got there in time to enjoy happy hour and the margaritas were spot on. Thank you to everyone who waited on us!
