Nightcap was originally conceived as a place for sweet sustenance and sparkling cocktails. Since then, we have evolved into so much more. Our space is now known as a late night, date night spot for guests and friends alike. The cozy atmosphere is welcoming, romantic and is also a great place to dine solo. It’s a space to make new friends, enjoy some incredibly tasteful food and cocktails that aim to please. Nightcap carries an old school Austin vibe that is hard to be classified as a bar or restaurant. We like to consider ourselves as a nightly dinner party at your friends house. The idea is to come over, have a great time and let us clean up afterwards. On special occasions, glitter is our favorite color that is often paired with bubbles. We hope you join us for any occasion and truly enjoy your evening.

Even with reservations we didn’t get seated for at least 30 minutes. Didn’t get our drinks for another 30 minutes after that. People who were behind us in line got seated, ordered, ate their food and payed the bill and left before we ordered our first drink. Will not be going back.

Loved having my 21st birthday dinner here! Made for a great chill Wednesday night with yummy food & wine with friends. The appetizers were PHENOMENAL and want to go back and try the cocktails because those looked awesome, too. I would recommend this place to anyone! Outdoors area also so cute and fun (we sat inside because it was cold)

This was our first time to Nightcap and definitely a won’t be our last! FANTASTIC happy hour! We sat outside, which was lovely. Great ambiance, fantastic service. The choices on the happy hour food menu were vast, food was delicious and the portions large—we left very happy and very full!

Absolutely loved this place! We made a reservation for a party of 8 to celebrate a friend's birthday and we were greeted with a festively decorated table. Our service was top-notch, the food was excellent as were the drinks, and the ambiance was delightful. I also enjoyed how quiet it was so we could all enjoy each other's company without shouting over background noise. Also, the owner came by and was a delight and so much fun to talk to. She even treated us with a celebratory drink. We will be back!

Nightcap was great! We went on a Wednesday at 8pm, and it wasn't very busy, maybe only 1/3 full. The playlist they had playing was excellent, the ambiance was homey, yet upscale. The food was delicious, and our server (Mahali ❤️) was attentive, quick, and delightful. If the prices were a tad lower, I'd be there weekly! Definitley will have to go back and try out the rest of the menu.

I usually take people to Nightcap often but recently it has been a total disappointment. There doesn’t seem to be a lack of staff but the ones there are not attentive, hanging at the bar chatting. My food was forgotten and I decided to leave early without eating. Happy hour drinks are great but because of inflation, their happy hour food items are not worth it. Some listed on happy hour menu as the same price as regular menu. Staff were kind when we were approached but overall, sadly disappointing.

We loved our happy hour at Nightcap. Although, it can get a bit noisy in there, the staff takes good care of you. The bartenders are awesome and friendly even taking our picture for our group t celebrate a girlfriend's engagement. We will definitely go back.

It was a bit hot and half of the place was already closed down for the night so everyone was thrown in by the bar or at the bar. I’ve been before where it was more lively but still intimate. This visit felt stuffy and loud for no reason.

This is THE local go-to in Austin. I hesitated to post this because I didn’t want to get crowded out of my favorite location, but the place is too good to hide. The building is a trifecta of quaint, artsy, and fancy - show up in a suit, cocktail gown, or a pair of cut-off jean shorts, your call, you’ll fit in perfect. Nestled between downtown and the cozy and historic Clarksville Neighborhood, this location is ideal to start or end your night downtown. The food is gourmet with upscale presentation, memorable flavors and combinations, but for an surprisingly fair price. The cocktails are remarkable in both appearance and taste. The bar and wait staff are among the most genuine, generous, and memorable that you will meet in this fast-growing city. Inside and out, Nightcap is truly the place to eat, drink, and love in Austin Texas.

Ordered the chicken appetizer. Rice was too oily and the chicken was undercooked. The polenta dish was simple but the dressing was too much honey. The fried green tomatoes was probably the better dish but definitely not something special. When I looked around most people were just having drinks… now I know the reason for that.

The outdoor patio was lovely. Cocktails were tasty. It took a while to get our drinks and food but once we did, it was delicious. I think I would have preferred regular goat cheese crUmbles on the beets, rather than the fried goat cheese nuggets but it was an interesting spin. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts too!
