Nino's - Atlanta
Never disappoints! Food is always so good. Been here every time I’m in town.
I made a 6:00 reservation but arrived early. They sat us right away. Although a bit too dark to read the menu without our phone flashlight, the ambiance was warm and Italian and friendly and cozy. The music was just like sitting in little Italy in N.Y.
The server was older but very seasoned. He was polite and laughed with us. Food was served in a timely manner. It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a dessert on the house.Amoretto cake! It was outstanding!! The entire meal, wine, bread, mussels, main course (see photos) was superb!! We came from Florida and travel a lot .( originally from NJ) I recommend this to anyone who is a true “foodie” or even cooks Italian. This gets a well deserved 5 star rating.
The bread service was good and the food excellent. Had the house Chianti and I liked it. The server was not very attentive but it was anniversary night and very busy. It was or first time and I was hoping to get done recommendations but I got nothing.
Still serving great food. Interesting, eclectic clientele. Straightforward service - friendly but professional.
Great meal and atmosphere at this Atlanta gem. If you like traditional Italian fare then make your reservation now.
Absolutely delicious Italian food! Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service and food as always. Never disappoints
ninos was so crowded when we were there saturday night, but that did not in any way take away from our dining experience. We were seated right on time, had a wonderful table inside the dining room, the food was excellent, and the service could not have been better. Its easy to see how Ninos has been in business for so many years. Cant wait to go back.....
Even during a busy New Year’s Eve night Nino’s provide great service and a excellent meal. Bravo as always!
New Years Eve
Very good food and wonderful service. Parkng is a bit of a challenge..Thank You
Birthday - it was my 57th birthday
Daughter in town for Christmas from San Diego.
As always a great evening at Nino's.
Mark has been our waiter for several visits and always makes the experience memorable.
The food was delicious- we ordered the burrata for an appetizer. My husbands lasagna was delicious! I ordered the spaghetti with artichokes and shrimp. It was good but not as flavorful as the lasagna. The cannoli cake was definitely worth the carlories. We came on Christmas Eve and were a party of 6 at 5p right when they opened. We felt rushed because the server was hovering the whole time, and then he didn’t even ask us if we were ready to order, he just started taking orders.
We've been going to Nino''s for over 25 years. No more. We had the worst experience. Too noisy, horrible waiter, food was not up or par.
Really sad since it was always our first choice. No more.
I love Nino’s. Best Italian food in Atlanta. Their clams oreganata are the best anywhere including Italy. I love this restaurant.
The service was quick and efficient. I had not eaten here in several years and my recollection was not positive. This experience was positive. The Caesar Salad is pretty but the anchovies are undetectable. The complimentary bruschetta is good. The veal saltimbocca is thin and served in a delicious sauce that is just a bit too salty. I recommend giving this old war horse another try if it’s been a few years.
Ninos is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always authentic and delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and familiar.
Great service and food! Obviously a lot of locals which is always a good indicator.
My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary.
He had pasta with mussels and I had the gnocchi. Before that, we shared the escargot. Everything tasted delicious!
The place was definitely lively with a very long table celebrating the holiday, all other tables were taken, as was the patio, and the bar was filled as well. This was on a Wednesday evening around 1930 hrs.
Definitely would recommend to couples and groups.
This restaurant holds a special place for me as it was the first real restaurant our parents were bold enough to take us to in about 1968/9. Lets just say we were "precocious" boys only let out of cages on occasion and this was wonderful; Nino's has always been special to me.
This is traditional "red sauce" Italian, which I love. Great place, really nice people and other than the ownership change in the 80's, has not changed in the 50 yrs it has been open. It looks like it could have been plunked down in NY, NY or anywhere there are real family owned Italian restaurants. Everything we had was great and as I said, I really liked the cozy family vibe. It will not be another 50 years before I go back.
Took the family for the 200th time for my son's birthday. We had an outstanding meal again. Never disappoints. The ultimate Atlanta family Italian restaurant.
Nino's is a classic Italian restaurant that serves wonderful food. The service is excellent and everyone is accommodating to various eating needs. The atmosphere is classic and intimate. These guys know how to do Italian. It's a must try in the crowded Atlanta food scene with all the glitz and new food concepts. Just absolutely fabulous Italian, great wine list and great service. Can't beat that.
Still the best southern Italian around. And, by far, the very best eggplant parm in Atlanta. If this is your dish, it's something not to be missed. And if you crave real Italian cheesecake, try it here; you won't be sorry!
I have been coming to Nino’s for years, always wonderful and the service and food are excellent. Tony and his whole never let us down.
We came to Nino’s for a girls night out with our daughters. The food was delicious and our server Mark was great! The half portions of pasta were perfect for the kids! We can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I eat here when we visit Atlanta because the food is delicious and the waiters make you feel welcome. Our 4 yr old grandson also loves eating here as he orders spaghetti with butter sauce and garlic. Everyone makes him feel special too.
Food was fabulous as usual! We three shared the escargot and calamari appetizers. For entrees, we ordered the tortellini and grouper dishes. Both were delicious and just right proportions. Dessert cart gets a nod as well for homemade taste (carrot cake and tiramisu). Wait staff was incredibly attentive. We WILL be back for more!
Our waiter was terrific. My main disappointment was my specific entree. The other 3 diners enjoyed their entrees and the appetizers were wonderful. Again I want to give a shout out to our waiter. He was terrific
Not bad, but nothing special. I was an Alfredo’s fan and I had other friends who were Team Nino. Went there on a weeknight. It was dead but nice and quiet. Food was OK. I had the special veal cannoli. Others had lasagna and shrimp scampi. No one raved. The coconut cake was a bust.
This place is not outrageous but not one of the top Italian places in Atlanta.
Bring back Alfredo’s!!!!
A friend of mine who grew up in Boston told me about this place. She recommended the Veal Saltimbocca as being the best in the city. She was spot on! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, the service is excellent and the Veal was amazing. We cannot wait to go back!
Nino's is always exceptional. Love the bruschetta!
Its hard to find a very good Italian restaurant these days because most of the "new" corporate type Italian
restaurants have employees who can hardly read and therefore, corporate decides what the patron should eat. Nino's has been around for a long time and I remember Nino's when I was just starting out in life with my first good paying job. That was almost 40 years ago.
I am not one who likes to comes into Atlanta city for dinner because of the traffic, lousy streets, and crime.
Occasionally though, I will make the trip.
The food at Nino's is beyond what I have missed over the years in the REAL ITALIAN FOOD area. I totally dislike food that comes out of a box/bag, get reheated and thrown onto a plate, then to be called "real".
The food at Nino's is the genuine thing. I had a veal dish last night which brought back fond memories with Parma ham, pounded veal so tender, all I needed was a spoon to cut it. My wife spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls which were so tender a spoon would have done to job of slicing into. The angel hair pasta was just absolutely perfect. We indulged in hazelnut gelato for desert, also very good.
Our server (Mark) did an excellent job which I told him, because everything was so well made, that Nino's regained two customers.
We had a group of eight of us and we were seated in the small private room. The service was fantastic the food was amazing and we had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to go back!
I am afraid that my dinner was made with bad shrimp. I will not order that dish again, as it made me nauseated. Also, the bread on our bruschetta was burned. We have been to Nino's multiple times and love the atmosphere and service - so we will try again.
Old time Italian restaurant with consistently good food! The service is top notch. I felt like we were back in the old time movies when they had many restaurants that were staples like Nino's. Highly recommended for old school Italian!
Amazing food and amazing service, I love this restaurant and will always go back.
