Nino's - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
What a gem! Some places prepare great food. Some have a nice wine list or make a first rate cocktail. Others have terrific service or a nice ambiance. Nino's does it all.
All good. Bring back Nino’s Cannelloni!!
I had a great time at Ninos. The food and ambiance was wonderful. I would say the service was not that good as I felt rushed. They brought out our appetizers and main entrees together which didnt make sense.
Nino's is easy to overlook given location and longevity, but it never disappoints. The food is a close to West Village as it gets in Atlanta, but be ready for a noisy environment on a Friday or Saturday night. All veal dishes are outstanding and the wine list is reasonably priced, though a little limited if your looking for California wines.
We have been several time with friends, the food was good our server could have cared less about us however. He had a large table with a big white family guess he thought they tip better or he does not like gay people.
an old neighborhood staple that never disappoints.. went there for a fam dinner friday evening after reserving table on open table.. they had one waiting when we arrived.. excellent cesar salad and pasta, and very attentive staff from owner all the way to the water guy. an outstanding experience.
My wifes Birthday dinner was a bad experience in this Restaurant. The place was packed no room to walk. I think its a fire hazard. Also the waiters keeped hitting my chair to get by to get into the kitchen. Im Italian so I know good Italian food. It was ok but I personally could have made our dished ten times better. The cost was high for what we got. The neighborhood was really bad, scary to park ing lots.
The location is a little heck-it but worth the travel. Small intimate restaurant, with a nice, warm outside area. The service was excellent, the food was too. I will be going back soon to try a few more dishes on the menu. The wine recommended was also a hit.
The food was phenomal. The service left much to be desired. Our waiter seemed as though he wasn't interested in our table. We had been there 15 minutes before our drinks were ordered and after that he seemed short with us. It almost felt like he was annoyed. It really turned us off from what would have otherwise been a spectacular annivesary dinner.
Food was excellent, service not so much. Very crowded dining room.
The best traditional Italian in Atlanta! One of our favs!
A week earlier on week night Nino’s was perfect spot. Dined with five friends for good food and conversation. This visit with four of us on a Saturday night the food was delicious but the noise level made conversation impossible. It was crowded so service suffered. A big disappointment. Lesson learned. Never again on a busy Saturday night.
Waiter was very nice; but not highly attentive to us as customers. My pasta was outstanding; ceasar salad was OK. Would love to see alignment of everything.
Seems like the chef has changed. Michella pasta was salty and a lot richer than previous visits. Caesar salad was very dry, mostly no dressing.
We love Nino's. Started with terrific calamari, hot out of the fryer, super crispy and fresh with a yummy slightly spicy marinara. Ice cold, crispy caesar salad, gnocchi with bolognese. That little bruschetta they set on the table is so delicious. We had the affogato for dessert which was the perfect ending to a great meal. I had hoped to take home half of the gnocchi but it was so good I ate it all. Excellent food, great, old world atmosphere, love it there. My son just wanted pasta with meat sauce, and they made it for him. Very accommodating.
I just love this place. Is a staple in Atlanta for Italian food. The waiters are old school guys who know how to service a customer, and the food was delicious. I brought a friend for the first time and he was impressed. I'll be back again.
Our favorite Italian restaurant . Consistently provides great food, service and ambiance.
Nice romantic setting and staff enables a pleasant experience
We really miss Alfredo’s so we thought we would try Ninos. We had been once before, years ago but loved Alfredo’s so much better. The interior is cozy and warm with booths on the perimeter of the room and tables in the center. We requested a booth since it was a date night but we were told there wasn’t one available ( there were at least three available) We were seated at a two top in the middle of the room shoulder distance from the four top next to us. The waiter came to ask for our drink order then bread and bruschetta arrived at the table. The bruschetta was good but we really missed the garlic rolls we remembered from before. The waiter took our order ( he did not offer any specials, I overheard another waiter later in the evening offer them to another table) The salads were just okay , raspberry vinaigrette was a little too strong and sweet. The lasagna was good but not memorable. We did not order dessert or coffee. There are so many other better restaurants for Italian food in Atlanta. We won’t be back :(
Had a wonderful dinner and great service from our waiter.
restaurant ambiance felt like you were in Italy. Very impressed with the service considering it was New Years Eve and the restaurant is small but was very busy. Homemade pastas were outstanding and good wine selections at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend Ninos if you like authentic Italian food. Our waiter was actually from Italy. We will definitely go back.
We went to Nino’s on New Year’s Eve and the experience was underwhelming. Most restaurants are crowded on NYE, but they had obviously crammed extra tables into their small space and it was miserable. We were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time and sat for 10 minutes without seeing a waiter. The food was good, especially the baked clam appetizer, but we won’t go back.
Had dinner there for New Year’s Eve and was quite disappointed over the poor service with long delays , never received our appetizer, credit card machine was broken - not worth the visit -
Mediocre food with poor service. We ate there for New Year's Eve and were very dissapointed. The seafood pasta was so salty that we have to return it. Would not recommend it at all
Nino's to me is very good "old school" Italian. Never disappoints.
Loved our waiter Robert!
Love the vibe and food. Waiter seemed quite rushed but other than that, great experience
Attentive service, fun ambiance and fantastic traditional Italian. Can’t wait to go back!
We go to Ninos when we want “comfort” Italian food. They serve traditional dishes that we enjoy.
Get Food & Service! My new favorite Italian in the area.
This is the place to go for authentic Italian food. The pastas are amazing. It’s not a fancy place but it’s comfy and warm.
Everything was great but to dark. Have to use a flashlight to see menu can't see your food when it comes out. Makes you wonder with it being that dark if they are trying to hide something. Even our 21 year old could not see in the restaurant
Nino's never disappoints! The service is wonderful and the food always magnificient!
We try to eat at Nino's whenever we travel to Atlanta. We are always glad we made the trip!
Nino's is the only true classic Italian restaurant in Atlanta. The food is fantastic and the people are top notch. Although a bit old and classic on the inside, that's part of its charm.
Our server was very nice. The food was average at best. The coconut cake tasted like it was missing the sugar.
My friend and I went here for a date night. We both agreed that the food was generally uninspired, save the pasta vodka side we ordered. The bruschetta presented at the beginning, while free, seemed like an after thought. 4 tiny pieces of bread, with only a small portion of rather bland bruschetta. The 2 dishes ordered were nothing special and lacked depth of taste. We both agreed we would have had a better meal if we went to Macaroni Grill. We both felt ill later, and can only think it was due to the meal. The pasta orecchiette ordered by my friend was sent back. As an Italian American, she couldn’t even eat it. We won’t be dining here ever again.
The most impressive thing about Nino's is the consistency. We've been coming here for over 15 years and it is always good. (As it has been around over 50 years should prove). It still has the best marinara sauce I've ever tasted. Best calamari. Cozy atmosphere. It is just a winner.
Love this place! Great food!!! Great date restaurant.
Haven’t been here since the 80’s and it is still delicious! The atmosphere was a little different - not quite as cozy for some reason. Will go again tho. Zuppe di pesce was as delicious as it was back then!
This is a gem. Excellent food and service, consistently. One of my favorite spots.
