Was a great dinner experience for my gf who had not been there before. Food was delicious. Looking forward to next visit
Quality of service and food were excellent!
Celebrating Match Day for my fiancé and our sweet waitress brought us champagne❤️Had the best meal, that cacio e pepe is wow
Caesar Salad was great, Mezzalune was good, would have been even better with less bacon. Server very good. Restaurant a bit noisy...hard to have a conversation with three other people(but not impossible). We'll come back.
We had a very wonderful meal for 4. We had to get a late reservation because it was within a week and this place fills up quick. That also means it was very crowded and loud when we got there, something I'm not a big fan of but calm down the longer we stayed. We got the meatballs and they were excellent, though a little short of the manna from heaven we were led to believe they were. I had black spaghetti and it was amazing. My wife had the chicken marsala and it's one of the best things I've ever tasted. The wine list was good and bar program seemed quite solid for what they were going for. If you're looking for obscure Italian digestives then this is your spot but don't expect a huge whiskey selection.
The only real knock on this place is that the wood fired oven left us smelling a bit like campfire when we left.
Everything about this place is just great except the pasta which is a shame as its a signature dish. Al dente fresh pasta that is just way too dense and doughy. We each had a different pasta dish and not sure if it was just an off night but we could not finish our meals. We are Italian food lovers and this was a disappointment. Excellent salads, & deserts. Great atmosphere and service.
Great food - black spaghetti and agnolotti were both fantastic. Great wines and cocktails, excellent service. Def be back AMS recommend!
The food was horrible. Ordered the chicken marsala for two - a so called "staple". The chicken was tough, and the whole dish was unbearably salty. The wine I had, I'm pretty sure was actually spoiled, but I powered through it because I was on a date and I didn't want to ruin the evening. Definitely not going back.
Great atmosphere, service and food! Went on a Friday night. So happy for the reservations, it was packed when I arrived. I was a little early and they went ahead and seated me. Chris, our server was very friendly and attentive. Food was awesome! We both had the Black Spaghetti that comes with shrimp. It was so delicious, flavorful and filling. You definitely get a healthy serving of food. Looking forward to going back.
Best Cacio e Pepe in Atlanta! Overall my new fave Italian spit next to St. Cecilia.
Previously had great experiences at No 246 but took my mom and sister here and both thought the chicken Marsala was rubbery. Very disappointing.
Great experience on all accounts!
The food was fantastic. The service was amazing. We will definitely be back.
It was amazing! They made both of my special occasions we were celebrating awesome. Definitely need to indulge in the lemon olive oil cake if you get the chance and the carbonara is too delicious. We enjoyed our drinks and our conversation with our server. One of the best finds in Downtown Decatur.
Excellent dinner. Look forward to coming for dinner again soon!
The best Italian food we have ever had.
The ambiance in no.246 was great. They even have a back patio area with games which I loved. Our server Chris was the absolute best, he was knowledgable about the menu and a lot of fun. We ordered 3 appetizers and entrees and everything was great and fresh. We went for Sunday brunch but will definitely be going back to try their dinner!
FYI the meatballs for 2 is really 4. You can get a single portion and a half of the for 2 portion.
The cheat apps are amazing.
We brought guests from Chicago, who loved No. 246, as we do. Our party ordered quite a variety of meals: steak, snapper, eggplant and angliotti, each one beautifully prepared (for picky eaters!) and graciously served. The noise level was a bit loud for our group but did not interfere with conversation. We will be back.
Fantastic food - the best Italian we've had in Atlanta. Service was excellent. Pasta incredible. If only this restaurant (and others) could tone down the noise level. But we will definitely be back.
always our to-go place when wanting a special night! service atmosphere and food always fab!
Everything was fantastic except the $50 ribeye was disappointing. Stick to the pasta. It was excellent and the portions were generous.
Our server was excellent. She was friendly and knowledgeable. There were four of us and two didn't like our pasta dishes - one was too spicy and o e wasn't spicy enough - so they switched. Our server took the dishes off the bill without being asked. The snapper was outstanding, but the appetizers only fair.
This place rocks. Never disappoints
It was ridiculously delicious and the service was superb!! 100% would recommend.
This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Atlanta which is why I chose to go for my birthday. We got there for a 7:30 reservation. Our table wasn't ready and we didn't get seated until 8:15. I have to say the hostess was being rather rude about it which was starting to get me upset. But before I could even say something the manager came over to us, apologized for the wait, and gave us all a free drink while we waited. Then we sat at our table. The food was amazing as usual, and our waitress was wonderful. Unfortunately the kitchen messed up my order and it didn't get put in. So when everyone had their food I didn't have mine. But again without asking they removed the food from the bill and brought us out two cakes for my birthday as well as another round of free lemon cellos. So although I do think this restaurant is almost always a 5 I can't give them one this time because of all the mistakes. But they did do their best to make everything right for us, and for that I will definitely be back. And it still is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta.
Drew was fabulous as always, Ford Fry never disappoints.
Delicious food from salad to meatballs to the pasta dishes we tried. Lemon olive oil cake was excellent. Waitress was friendly, helpful and efficient and made us feel welcome!
Overall, the food was great. It came out very fresh and hot, although the black squid ink spaghetti was a bit hard to chew. We weren't sure if it was the nature of the pasta to be that hard so we asked our server, and he confirmed it was. Regardless, they took it back and remade it and second time it came out PERFECT. Much chewier and tasty (in my opinion). Thanks for the great experience. I will want to come back for the Chef's Counter next time, apparently there's a two-week waiting list for it.
The blood orange salad was new on the menu so we decided to try it. It was excellent with so many flavors. We shared the chicken marsala and it was outstanding. The tagliatelle pasta was the best I've ever eaten. Fresh and flavorful with just the right amount of sauce. The lemon olive cake was light and delicious which was a perfect end to our meal. We will definitely be back to try some other pasta dishes!
The server invited to our table and allowed three old guys who hadn't seen each other in 38 years to reminisce for 20 minutes. Frequently coming by but not pushing us. We shared brussels sprouts that the chef agreed to make as an appetizer even though they were not on he menu as such. Each entre was special and we each were sorry we hadn't ordered the others. The quantity was enough where we each brought portions home. We stayed for two hours and again were not propelled to leave.
This place is not perfect, and every time I go there is something about it that is not quite right, but at the same time there are other things I really do like about it. Service is excellent. WInes include some well-chosen options. Food is a bit variable. Trout was delicious and cooked properly but barely warm when served - a bit disconcerting. We had to ask if there was a bread service (bread plates were on the table) and there was, but why was it not automatic? One wine glass smelled of bleach. Romanesco side was delicious, broccoli was just on the verge of over-salted, but the main issue this time was the butternut agnolotti - a classic preparation with butter and sage sauce but at least that night way too sweet and cinnamon-y - truly sweet enough to be dessert. So as I say, pluses and minuses. You have to order carefully and be ready to speak up if something is not right, as they will handle your issue willingly and professionally. Yet some food is really good and the atmosphere is lively
Outstanding food as usual. This was our second time dining at 246 and we were just as happy as the first. Amazing cocktails and wine!
Was visiting from out of town. Looked at the menus of several neighborhood places. Decided to take a chance on 246. SO glad we did. It was simply outstanding -- every detail!
I enjoyed the food but was dissatisfied with the service. It was my husband’s 40th Birthday, and we were rushed through service and practically had to swat the servers hand away from taking our plates before we were finished eating our main course. No dessert offered, no coffee. Had to ask for an after dinner drink menu.
I chose no. 246 because of level of service I was accustomed to, but I did not receive that. I regret not going to another restaurant that would have made my husband feel more special on his big milestone birthday.
Great vibe. Food was taste. Fun drink options.
Amazing!!! Neil was just the best server and the food was delicious
Loved dining here! Service was great and food was amazing. We were raving about the Baked Ricotta and Chicken Marsala for days to anyone who would listen. The tables are a little close for our liking as we were celebrating my husbands birthday and were sat between two larger groups- it was a little loud. However, the ambiance, food, and service made up for that in our minds. We will definitely be back!
It was amazing!!
