We always enjoy dining at North 54. We like a quiet, relaxing atmosphere (low background music so you can talk and relax). The food is excellent and prepared to satisfy each person's palate. The chef caters to your requests and will adapt the dish to meet your individual tastes/diet. The hostess greets you at the door and the servers are friendly and efficient. For an enjoyable evening out North 54 is the place to go.

Our food was great and the service was great. It’s just too bad the prices are so steep that we can only go there for special occasions because I would love to go more. We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary & wanted it romantic, but it was hard to hear each other with a table of 6 next to us who were quite loud.

The restaurant is following COVID safety requirements fairly well, tables are spaced and capacity visibly reduced, staff were wearing masks, good ventilation, etc

Unfortunately this experience was rather underwhelming. My last experience at North 54 a year and a half ago was so amazing and I have been referring colleagues working in Northern BC since my dinning experience. However Saturday we all felt like the big excitement of coming to dine was rather bland. The lighting was awkward and bright, music very quiet, food was all under seasoned. Steak was not anywhere near the mouthwatering steak I had the last visit. $50 for a 1/4 of cheese fondue with a small side of croutons and cut in half baby potatoes was ridiculous. I would have expected steak bites or veggies with fondue and a better presentation of it. We were just so excited that we were let down coming in with the high expectation of our last visit. I think possibly the chef was different also. Overall ok experience not great.
North 54 didn't disappoint, excellent service, and food. Certainly handled the social distancing and everything that needed to be done around our new way of dinning out.

The service was quick, friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and all of us enjoyed our meals. We were seated at good distance from each other and from other patrons.
Service was great , drinks were filled constantly but my tenderloin was WAY over cooked (as in well done ) And blackened on the ends way to much . All I wanted was a good steak for the price we had to pay. The peppercorn and mash and veg was very nice though . it was our first date night together away from the baby in monthhhhs and It was nice but just a bit to quiet and the food was okay, calamari was good minus the mass amounts of salt on it , a bit more distribution of the onion and salt mix would have done it . Social distancing measures were taken though which was nice to see :)

Very over priced. Food was not the flavor it should have been. Best thing was the garlic bread. Steak was almost very rare, double cream garlic mashed potatoes were lumpy and no flavor, not even salt. The lemon risotto was pure lemon, way too much. Halibut was over cooked and the sauce was over powering. Not worth the price!!
We met some friends for dinner for the first time under new ownership. Our entree’s were better than anything we’ve had there before. We will definitely be back and it is the best lasagna you will ever eat.

First time to north 54 and definitely won’t be the last time.
The owner has changed and the food quality has sadly deteriorated. Salads from a bag, dressing from a bottle - and this for upscale dining prices. Very very very disappointed. The new owner has obviously changed everything in the kitchen and cut as many corners as possible. It is evident that he is riding on the coat-tails of previous owner's reputation but that won't last long.
North 54 really is the best fine dining experience in Prince George. Always a treat, whether for a business lunch or a romantic dinner.
