Our menu is inspired by tradition and dictated by the quality and availability of ingredients. We play off the similarities between the climates of Eastern Ontario and Northeast Italy, and create our take on classic dishes made with seasonal game, seafood and vegetables.     A sunny spot at the bar was just the beginning. Poloetta roused our appetite to follow with the Eggplant and Chickpea Polenta which was a burst of so many flavors. An astonishing meal. Our bartender was knowledgeable about the food and drinks to satisfy all of our wants.

    The staff were all very attentive and explained the Italian names and dishes well although the noise level was quite high making it difficult to hear them. We shared three delicious antipasti to start, house-cured duck and figs, Le Coprin mushrooms in soar and scallops crudo & cucumber foam along with their own ciabatta. Then as per staff's recommendation we each ordered a second course each. The corzetti in salsa rossa was so wonderful I'd order it again. The bigoli & salsa was also delicious and the special pasta of the night, the scarpinocc, small shoe-shaped little pasta, like little dumplings filled with balsamic were also a great treat. We were seated away from the windows so it was a little dark to see our beautiful meal but it would be perfect for the romantic ambiance of other diners. All in all a great first experience of northern Italy's cuisine!

    I have been a few times before and the food and service are excellent. I wish I had of asked our servers name as she was awesome and we had so much fun with her.

    Our meal was absolutely amazing! We didn’t know what to expect as it was our first time here, but we were blown away. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience. Ellen, our hostess, was wonderful. Her choice for our wine pairing with our entrées was sheer perfection! The June menu held very interesting choices I must say. She also contributed to our enjoyment of our whole culinary experience! Highly recommend!!

    Incredibly thoughtful and tasty food. Had Polpette (best ever had), Gnochi with Pesto, and Tournedos Rossini. Service was terrific and I will be back to visit North and Navy again! It's not inexpensive but is worth the money.

    We had the best meal at North and Navy. Everything was amazing from the service, the seating, the food and the ambience. We were lucky enough to sit overlooking the kitchen which was such a fun experience. The amount of detail that goes into cooking and plating the food was quite the event to witness. The food was immaculate. Every dish was worth eating again (which we will by the way).

    I enjoyed everything from the atmosphere to the excellent service. The whole experience was like taking a class. I appreciated the details and the explanation about the ingredients . Try the house made limoncello, it’s a game changer. We will return with many guests in our party.

    It was difficult to read the menu since the lighting was very dim. Menu was mainly in Italian and the waitress was very kind to explain everything to us.

    We had an amazing time at North and Navy! Everything was outstanding - food, service, ambiance. I think it was one of the next meals we’ve ever had. The gnocchi was incredible, the octopus and steak plates were out of this work. I can’t say enough positive things about our experience!

    Inside the noise level was high, but outside it was really quiet. So we moved outside. Loved this experience from beginning to end. Outstanding restaurant for sure.

    My husband and I had booked a table for 2 outdoors. The table was small but it was sufficient. The outdoor ambience was really nice. When the evening temperature started to get cooler, they lit a heater for us and there were blankets for our use. It started to rain and they were able to move us indoors. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive. Great experience overall.

    Amazing food and winr list. Lovely old home. I was especially intrigued by the upper level dining room, which sports reclaimed church light fixtures. We sat on the patio which is nice but it could use a bit of work.

    Food, service, and decor were all as good as it gets! I'd go back regularly if I could afford it. The only minor complaint I have: the cutlery. The vintage cutlery was tarnished and the knife I was given was slightly bent and couldn't cut a thin slice of pickled rutabaga without a lot of "muscle".

    New corking fee at 50$ per bottle and it was 25$ weeks ago, they didn’t tell us and it’s abusive. They Certainly lost some clients

    We had a wonderful experience with our first restaurant meal for months. The prices unfortunately reflect the overall economic situation, but we all have to live with that. Service was attentive, informed and patient.

    A completely unique dining experience. Most of the items on the menu are unique to North & Navy. Everything was full of flavor and unlike anything we previously tasted. It was all so good and enjoyable. In addition to appetizers and mains, the bread is outstanding and a meal by itself. We went celebrating our wedding anniversary and definitely felt like it was a true celebration with a very special meal. Service provided by Shameen and Dan was exceptional. They both provided a very warm and welcoming experience to an overall extraordinary experience.
