    All app were fantastic. . disappointed that you ran out of scallops. Mains were not up to par with the apps. Duck breast was chewy. Dessert were also fantastic has was the service with Danilo. Best affogatto I ever had

    Exceptional service!! From arrival to finish we received excellent treatment. Visited to celebrate a friend's engagement and it could not have gone better! Enjoyed each meal and the house-made gnocchi was a delightful surprise - a cut above for sure. Didn't get the front host's name - he was wonderful! Made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. Our server Ellen was a delight as well with fantastic menu knowledge!! Handled allergies with no problems. Thanks for the great experience. Will be back!

    Amazing experience at North and Navy. The server walked us through the menu so we were very informed on how we should order for our group of 6. Lots of yummy food options and drinks! Such a unique restaurant and will definitely return.

    Everything was as expected. Friendly greeting at the door. Offered to hang output coats and guided to the chef’s pass. Food was tasty as always and the drinks were also fabulous. Atmosphere is nice and cozy. Highly recommend this spot.

    What a fabulous meal! The service was warm and professional, the ambience lovely, and the menu and execution nearly perfect. One minor flaw was the a Secondo, the Cauliflower and Gorgonzola piece, which was, in a word, silly. Otherwise, brilliant!

    All patrons that make a reservation should be assured the ability to enjoy and have a conversation with their guests at the table. NOT the case here! After arriving we were seated across from a table of 8 Very loud girls enjoying themselves. We requested to be seated away from the loud party. The restaurant said they were full and unable to accommodate us away from the loud table. Yet a table on the second floor that would have been the solution remained vacant during our meal. It was very clear that the noise level was out of control; and the server was aware that our dining experience suffered. IMO this establishment failed to deliver a comfortable experience for all seated in this small room and made no attempt to resolve the issue

    The ambiance and the wine selection were great. But it's certainly the food that will have me coming back again and again. Great gem. I first thought the Antipasti portion of the menu was a little bit overpriced, but upon receiving the two dishes we ordered to start i understood exactly what i was paying for. The attention to detail and craftsmanship that goes into these dishes is above and beyond. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

    We loved everything about our dinner experience! It was fun to sit at the bar……watching the bar tenders and a view into the busy, very professional looking kitchen!! The service was exceptional…..and so was the food!!

    Absolutely amazing food, some of the best pasta I have ever had. Although I am a vegetarian, the people I was with said the meatballs were some of the best they’ve had.

    This restaurant is absolutely amazing! Some of the best food me and my boyfriend have ever had! I will say that the portions are not huge but you get the such quality you walk away nothing but satisfied and ready to return!

    We had not been to N& N for in person dining for quite a while. We did a couple of take out orders from N & N during the COVID pandemic while restaurants were closed for in person dining and were always very satisfied. The prices at this restaurant like most restaurants in Ottawa and in Canada have skyrocketed past COVID and expectations usually follow in lockstep with high prices. We started with the charred eggplant yogurt and the Chicken liver Mousse caramelle pasta followed by the duck breast and the salmon. Of the 4 dishes only one was outstanding ( the salmon). The charred eggplant and pasta while good did not meet our high expectations and left us a bit wanting. The duck dish was the most disappointing being tough to cut with a very strong gamy taste. The duck fixings were very good though. Service was very attentive and professional and our waiter was very gracious in their response to our feedback and removed from the bill one of the appetizers. A nice gesture we appreciated. They also offered us before our meal a glass of Prosecco since it was an anniversary dinner- another very nice and appreciated gesture. Another negative for the night - but no fault of the restaurant- was an unbelievably loud table of 4 with one thunderous voice towering over everything else- which prevented us and most likely from the looks on some of the other guests - from enjoying their meal in relative peace. We decided to skip desert and head home for calm. So unfortunately we left the restaurant a bit disappointed as our expectations which were admittedly high- in line with prices at such an upscale establishment- were not quite met.

    The pasta Caramelle was to die for. The duck was average. The eggplant appetizer was excellent. We would go there again. One setback, the lighting was bothersome.

    We dined last night at North and Navy for the first time and it was spectacular. Our waitress was friendly, very knowledgable, and helpful when it came to menu selections. The food. Where to begin? The meatball appetizer was delicious, but it was the squid-ink infused ravioli with smoked tuna that was the star of the evening. It was perhaps, the best pasta I've ever eaten, and that includes Italy! We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Only downside was the noise level. I am uncertain if the accoustics in the restaurant aren't that good, or the table one over was particularly loud but it became very challenging to carry on a conversation after a while. It may have been our first visit, but it definitely will not be our last!

    This restaurant is fantastic! The service is outstanding. We had guests with us who were gluten and dairy free and our server beautifully described all of the menu choices and how they could be made to suite our dietary needs. All the food ( and I have had most of the menu) is delicious . The ambiance is cozy and happen’n!

    Was there for our mom's birthday. Got to dine in the library! Nice little spot for an intimate dinner. The food was top quality. Really enjoyed ourselves.

    This restaurant is an experience. The food is amazing and meant to be shared. The portions are not large but very tasty. A couple of them I called an adventure. It is pricy so not a place I’d go regularly but for an occasion it’s perfect.

    Very creative. Each dish is light but when staged as recommended one is left perfectly satisfied. While the veal was visually stunning and delicious the eggplant with labneh and pickled shallots is not to be missed. The service is upbeat and informative. I wouldn’t hesitate to return the next time I visit Ottawa
