Service was absolutely incredible. Our server Gerald was so kind and even offered to take pictures of us outside. The food was really delicious and the overall ambience of the restaurant was exactly what we wanted to celebrate a special occasion.

A prefect setting, gorgeous arts and crafts decor, creative menu, well prepared food, and gracious servers. We had Sunday brunch and in addition to the regular prefix menu, they had a special dish of cornbread in a cast-iron pan, topped with crab and whipped ricotta, which was outstanding. They also featured fresh raspberry ginger lemonade, to which various boozy boosters could be added. Every part of our experience was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Wow! Chef Cesar Murillo shines as does the rest of the entire staff with food that is picture perfect, local as can be, and exceedingly delicious. The 4-course menu gave us a variety of choices with several surprise gift bites and sips during the serving. The delivery of each course brings delight to the eyes and even more to our tastebuds. This team knows how to make the best of what is fresh and available seasonally - and from what the staff note, weekly as the menu changes often. I have to add that the wine paring was exceptionally well thought out. Finally, it is no wonder the staff have their names on the menu as each and every one takes great pride to take care of us which included a visit by the General Manager just to make sure all was provided well. Go There Now!

Was a perfect dinner all the way around. We sat outside and enjoyed the amazing scenery and warmth of the evening. Each course was prepared perfectly both in presentation and taste. We love this restaurant! All of the staff are so great too. They are kind, courteous and friendly. If you haven’t tried North Pond, we’ll you are missing out on a treasure.

The best food we have ever eaten! Such a unique twist on dishes that we would never be able to recreate. Every course was delicious and the wine pairing was well worth it! Our waiter was very informational and helped us make up our minds with some courses

Lovely food and overall wonderful. The view of the city skyline beyond the pond as the evening progressed was lovely. We had excellent service from everyone involved and the food was interesting. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant.

You will need to be ready to spend a healthy amount of money for your dinner, but if you are looking for a wonderful dining experience, you will be well rewarded. A wonderful evening from start to finish with excellent and knowledgeable service and of course exquiste food. A memorable dining event.

My wife and I have been dining at North Pond (mostly on our anniversary) for the last twenty or so years. When we first experienced North Pond, we both felt that it was possibly the best restaurant in all of Chicago. The last couple of times that we have dined there have been disappointing. The menu has changed radically in the last few years and the food no longer measures up for us anymore. In fact, it was not particularly tasty or memorable.

The seasonal tasting menu was fantastic and really let a lot of autumnal harvest flavors shine through. The décor was very Frank Lloyd Wright inspired, but still felt kind of like a rustic cabin. While there was an excitable buzz from the patrons, there was no loud music. I was sat next to the hot plate, with a fantastic view of the kitchen. It was good to see how vocal and energic the kitchen staff was. The servers were also very friendly and accommodating

Four-star rating raised from 3 stars by service, which was exemplary. Tasting menu only available. I had crab salad (couldn't taste any crab), Turkish dumpling stuffed with rabbit sausage (could have been stuffed with anything - was just like any tortellini), lamb (no complaints, although lamb pieces were tiny) and chocolate tart (also OK). My wife had butternut squash with elk (too salty), Turkish dumpling (v.s.), lamb (v.s.) and honey pair (good). Pleasant ambience, except too loud (the fault of the customers, not the restaurant).

This restaurant is a delight. We find the menu a tad challenging at times, with ingredients we normally don’t eat. But, this chef and kitchen are so skilled that whatever they serve will be wonderful.

It was a great experience. Pricey, $380.00 for two. The food is excellent, the service impeccable, location in Lincoln Park, is beautiful. It’s definitely worth going.

An all-around wonderful dining experience! The staff were genuinely warm, knowledgeable and professional. The food was inventive, delicious and beautifully presented. The Arts & Crafts room is lovely, with good lighting and perfect sound level for conversation. So few restaurants get everything right these days and this one does.

It was a beautiful day outside and the interior of North Pond is so lovely—and adds so much to the experience. We are life long Chicagoans and remember when the building was a hot dog stand and before that a boat house. We love the quietness and the beauty of the spot. The service was excellent and the menu. Courses came when we were ready and were beautifully prepared and presented. Everything was delicious and so well thought out. This is a very special peaceful place to celebrate.
