Inspired by the market, Chef César Murillo utilizes exceptional ingredients at the height of their season. His tasting menu reflects the Arts & Crafts approach of the dining room - complex layers of subtle craft beneath a simple decorative style.

We offer a four-course tasting menu with optional wine pairings. The menu is not á la carte, however, it provides options for each of the courses.

North Pond is open for dinner Thursday through Sunday beginning at 5:30pm.
Sunday Brunch begins at 10:30am and is three-course prix fixe.

We do not offer valet parking.
Tables in the front room or patio, overlooking the pond, are seated first come, first serve. We do not hold tables.
All tables for more than 4 people are seated in our main dining room.
We accept reservations for a maximum of 8 people at one table.
A cancellation charge of $25 per person is applied to all same day cancellations.

Why we love it

Executive chef: Cesar Murillo

Chef César Murillo’s seasonal tasting menus are just as stunning as the lush Lincoln Park setting of this beloved restaurant. An alum of Grace, Murillo combines classical technique with hyperlocal ingredients—including fresh produce from the restaurant’s rooftop garden—in elegant dishes that could include a Cornish hen with summer squash and charred cherries. Snag a seat by one of the windows in the Arts and Crafts-style dining room for the best garden and skyline views.

Such DELICIOUS, thoughtfully created, exquisitely presented courses! And our server Charmian, who has worked there for years, could not have been more delightful!! If you are lucky enough to get an outside table, the view of the Chicago downtown skyline across the pond is a stunningly unique, and incredibly peaceful dining setting…

One of the worst meals I have ever had. I have dined at some of the greatest restaurants in the world (Troisgros, *** Michelin) and I have had some disappointing meals (La Villa Madie in Cassis) but nothing as bad as North Pond was last night. Service was inattentive. Food was thoughtless, poorly prepared and lacking in quality ingredients. The “King Crab” was tiny bits of shredded protein which I doubt was King Crab. The foie was tiny and lukewarm on a bed of tasteless, room temperature fennel. The “wagyu” could only have been from a cow whose great, great grandparents had a brush with a true wagyu gene eons ago. Dry, tasteless and room temperature. The “Hokkaido” scallops were dry, rubbery, lukewarm and reminded me of the frozen Hokkaido scallops from Costco that have been overcooked. It was like the cook (I would not use the term “chef”) threw whatever was in the cold locker from the night before onto some plates. No harmony on the plate. Truly awful. I left jonesing for a #1 at White Castle which would have been more satisfying and a better value.

We were fortunate to eat brunch outside on a lovely day. The food was outstanding. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. It would've been a perfect experience, but toward the end of our meal, we waited a very, very long time for our dessert to arrive, then we didn't see our server for a long time again and had to ask for him to get our check. Also, we had ordered the optional corn bread for the table, but it never arrived. I feel like this was an exception, however. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I look forward to returning.

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and it did not disappoint! Having dined here before, we knew we were in for an outstanding experience, and once again, they exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, nestled in the historical heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park district, added an extra layer of charm and significance to our special evening. The service was impeccable from start to finish—attentive, yet unobtrusive, making us feel truly celebrated on such an important occasion. Every dish was a masterpiece, with flavors that were both inventive and familiar, capturing the essence of elevated dining. From the perfectly paired wine to the dessert that ended the night on a sweet high note, everything was flawless. This restaurant holds a special place in our hearts, not just for its incredible food and service, but for its historical significance, blending the beauty of Chicago’s past with a modern culinary experience. We can't recommend it enough for any special occasion or when you simply want an unforgettable night out. Thank you for making our anniversary celebration so memorable—we'll be back for many more milestones!

We had a spectacular day to sit outside for brunch. What a location! with the pond and the city in the distance. The food was very good and the presentation was beautiful. Our waiter and the rest of the wait staff very knowledgeable and attentive. Everyone at our table received their food at the same time, unlike some restaurants where sometimes 3 people receive their food, and then everyone is waiting on the last person to begin eating. Our birthday girl received a nice, subtle surprise that made us all smile. Nice touch North Pond When we were finished, we asked if we could go look at the roof garden - not only could we go, but we received a guided tour. We’ll definitely be back sometime this winter for an indoor experience.

it was perfect, from our arrival to the end of the evening! service is perfect, food was delicious, it went crescendo with each meal... and the ambiance is great, I like the art deco style, it's quiet with space between table so you don't hear your neighbors... it was perfect!
