Got there on Valentine’s Day. Advertised Oyster bar, got there and only after I sat down I was notified that there is no oysters left. Dinner was ok, lobster soup was highlight, steak was cooked well but seasoning was too salty around the edges ( my wife’s steak as well). After I finished bottle of wine, I ordered anther 2 glasses of 6 oz wine which I had to wait for 45 mins and that’s after I went upfront and complained. I think the table was forgotten about. Oh well, I do understand that Valentine’s Day is usually busy but this was way below the standard I expected from fine dining. I will not be back

Booked a table for Valentines Day, we were unimpressed with the set menu and I’d called in advance for a vegetarian option, a separate menu was to be emailed to me but nothing came in advance. Once we got there the GM was very accommodating for dietary restrictions and managed to put together a good meal for my girlfriend but the steak I got was terrible. It was a chewy strip with way too much salt. Aside from the steak, the food was good, and the BC wines were reasonably priced.

The service was lovely! The host at the front was extremely friendly and personable. Our waitress was very professional and patient.

We got the gnocchi as a starter and it was a 7/10. Pretty good but not the best I’ve had.

I had the Wagyu steak medium and my dad had it medium rare. I’d recommend medium rare. Steak was 8/10. I’d say that the accompaniments like the fries and the salad made the steak way better. Alone, I’d say it was a 7/10.

My mom has the sablefish and she loved it!

The banana desert was a 7/10 :)

But I wouldn’t recommend to have the server that we did. She was not attentive and not only did we never see her during our meal, when we asked for coffee she forgot and just said she gave it to someone else. WTH? I practically had to tackle her for the bill. Not what you’d expect for a $70 pp brunch.

Excellent restaurant. We had a party of 12, celebrating a family, and the buffet offerings on Sunday at brunch were excellent. The service was also great. Our server Raluca was particularly thoughtful that it made celebrating a family occasion all the more special. (My aunt even wanted to include her in our of our photos. Thank you very much!)

Loved my experience at Notch8 - the decor was very trendy and they had an awesome live DJ, menu selection was great and wonderful service. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars is because although the food was delicious the main portions are very small. I ordered the ravioli and knew right away I would have to order something else after. But besides that I had a great dining experience! (Side note: If it’s your birthday they give you a delicious chocolate mousse!)

The food range is not too much and it is greasy. Waitress cleans up the plates once you finished , perhaps they don’t like you to sit for too long.

My husband took me to Notch 8 for my birthday. We absolutely loved our experience. The service was flawless without being stuffy, our servers were friendly and attentive in just the right amounts. We’ve eaten in many fine dining establishments over the years and this is by far the best prime rib anywhere in the world we have ever eaten. The Yorkshire puddings were also beautifully done, better than any we have ever had back in our home country of England. Highly recommended.
We often stop into the bar for a quick cocktail after a hard day of city shopping and that too is always a delightful experience. Some of the most delicious drinks in town. Thank you for a wonderful evening. See you next time.

Always wanted to try Notch8 and got the opportunity to do the dine out special with them. Our server Danny was phenomenal! He was very helpful and knowledgeable and caring. The food was amazing! Everything tasted fresh! I highly recommend the cauliflower side dish. The only downfall was that drinks are quite pricey. Also the table/booth we sat in had “adjustable” back pillows but weren’t very comfortable. I will probably only dine again here for dine out or a very very special occasion due to it being very pricey and not my favourite ambiance.

I celebrate my bday dinner in Notch8 with my family. The ambiance of the place is perfect, our food service is very nice and good. We ordered food and i got disappointed. My husband ordered a medium rare duck it is so bloody, he couldn't eat it. My appetite is down right away especially after tasting the onion soup with cheese in the top. I got stomach ache after i ate My tenderloin,
It is kind of hard like a gum. Maybe it's just depend on what kind of food you order. The dessert is very nice with taro powder. But overall i can only give 2 stars with my experience.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess invited us to a table right next to the fireplace. We were both happy because it was a cold Friday afternoon. We ordered our selection of soup and entrée. I ordered a French Onion Soup and Notch 8 Club which would be very filling if the soup is a regular sized one. The waiter explained that to me and suggested a cup instead of a bowl which I agreed. My co-worker also ordered a cup of soup in addition to an entrée. She was also very satisfied with the service and the food and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good meals Prime Rib was huge, Lamb and Sable fish very small needed to order extra potatoes and mushrooms. Flavor was very good for all meals. Originally had table at entrance, bad spot, moved to outside booth, much better. Only issue was quoted $30 for corkage and charged $40, that’s really high most places charge $25.
Great spot, reasonable prices for high end.

Maybe the worst Pinot Noir I had ever taste. The burrata was more a mozzarella soup than a burrata ........ since we arrive the person in charge of seatting guests was no willing to help anybody..... maybe the night before nye was too much for that restaurant.......
