Nuba - Kitsilano
Good food and attentive service. We really appreciated that our server listened to our feedback about the level of the music, and turned it down.
Amazing food and good service. Booked a table for a large party and all request/details were adhered to. Thank you Nuba Kitsilano for your awesome work!!
A group of friends decided to celebrate our birthdays with brunch at Nuba Kitsilano. The food was good as usual. At the end of the meal, we asked for forks to share two pieces of cake we brought in from Purebread and were politely informed that to have plates and forks for cake would be a charge of $2 each (we declined). I realize that one shouldn't bring outside food into a restaurant, but I haven't come across a policy like this for birthday cake before. Especially in this context, a brunch, where the restaurant wasn't busy and we only wanted forks. We had appetizers, drinks, and full meals each, so the up-charge seemed inconsistent with the level of service we have come to expect from a great restaurant like Nuba.
Dinner was absolutely great. We were 3 girls and we ordered the vegetarian feast for 3 and it was almost too much food. Maybe we ate too much naan!
There was quite a long stretch between first and second course of the feast but perhaps we only noticed because we were in a rush to get to the theatre on Granville Island. We should have told our server that ahead of time so our mistake.
The only issue I had with value was the 8 oz glass of Chianti was a little pricey at $24 - next time red wine out of the tap will do as it was about $10 cheaper.
We got the veggie share platter . Was a great way to taste all the options
We were unfamiliar with menu and how best to order for party of 10. I had very little assistance or recommendation from server. We all left starving
Went to Nuba in Kits for a couples night out with friends. Two vegetarians and two meat eaters. We ordered the the Le Feast (vegetarian) and Le Grand Feast (with lamb, prawns, chicken skewers). Great flavours and a lot of food (although the meat eaters felt the meat portions were a bit small), great service and nice atmosphere. Alcoholic drinks are on the expensive side but overall a great evening. Will definitely return.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Love this place.
Everything was divine! The beet dip was sweet and tangy, the hummus was flavorful, and the carrot dip was rich and savory. The lamb dishes were incredible. The rosewater whipped cream was amazing as was the financier. The gluten-free chocolate quinoa cake was astonishing (in a good way). We'll be back!
The food has always been exceptionally delicious, each time I have eaten at Nuba. The prices are very reasonable and the service is also top notch.
Nuba is a very nice place. The food was excellent! We had a table for 7 and it was difficult for some folks to hear others - a bit disappointing. As it was a family event, we will look elsewhere in the future.
4 adults and 3 kids. $415 total bill. But good food
Nuba was a great place for dinner; it has very inventive (non-traditional) dips and dishes for vegan/vegetarians. I loved everything about the grand feast!
Absolutely delicious!! Will be back.
We stumbled on another branch of Nuba (there are 3 or 4 in Vancouver as of this writing). We ended up at this one because... it was available on a Friday night at 7pm. The food is delicious and mostly healthy, the prices are reasonable including drink prices. I had the salmon "fish of the day" - cooked perfectly. My buddy had the beef brisket, which he also enjoyed.
Nuba was a great choice for a quiet, healthy lunch where it was possible to have a conversation without yelling at each other. Don't hesitate!
The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the Le Feast (Vegetarian, share platters) and it was incredible. A great sampling of different dishes. The best part however was the desserts.. do your self a favour and leave some room for one, I especially recommend the Pistachio Financier or the Yogurt Ice Cream. I can not speak to their wine/cocktail menu as I stuck to non-alcoholic beverages for the evening, but my husband really enjoyed his Lebanese coffee (which had fig brandy). The decor is beautiful, the lighting is intimate, and service was attentive without making us feel rushed. Overall a very wonderful restaurant for dinner. Its not a cheap date night but we feel it was worth the price.
Love Lebanese food
Much better options in Vancouver
This restaurant is dark and dank
Our server was uninterested
I would not go back
Great friends so s great night out
But that was in spite of the restaurant
Ambience was perfect, set in back part of restaurant, courtyard with high ceiling. Food delicious: vegan stew, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, prawns, hummus and beet dips, chicken skewers! Eleni went out of her way to make sure our table for 10 was comfortable, enjoyable and spacious! Michelle’s service was spot on as in previous reservation. Friendly, helpful, engaging, really went out of her way to ensure we all had delicious food and a great time celebrating a birthday!
Love the delicious fresh food. Fantastic vegan, vegetarian options. And the lamb dishes will please any carnivores.
Knowledgable wait staff ,friendly and the food fresh clean taste fragrant, best meal we have had in a long time. Tried new things the waitress recommended and were so pleasantly surprised. We came in from Surrey and definitely worth the drive,
weekend lunch strarts at 3pm. Brunch menue is very limited, lunch menu is not much options either. The waitress was nice enough to ask the kitchen to serve lunch for our table an hour early . The quality of the food wasn’t as good either! I got very sick! The restaurant smells a bit like raw meat.
Great place for something different than the usual fare. Great service and the food is excellent, with a nice range of beverages for whatever suits your craving.
Great fresh food prepared with healthy, wholesome ingredients. A commitment to excellence!
It was a chique, fun date place, good enegy. Would return again
We ordered a few of the cold (beet dip) and hot mezzes (minced lamb and grilled cheese) and two portions of the Le grand feast. The server was really attentive and pointed out that the initial mezzes we ordered was also included in Le grand feast so she helped recommend some other dishes. Everything we had was delicious except the chicken skewers which were dry. Although the cauliflower was tasty it was not crispy at all per the description in the menu. They also ran out of the ice cream for the chocolate quinoa cake and substituted it for whipped cream instead.
As always, food was really good. First time at the Kits location and really liked the worn decor of the inside of the restaurant. Service was excellent!
Our group thought the Lamb Hushwie was superb, the best lamb ever, and the hummus was incredibly good.
Pleasant excellent food. Parts of restaurant can be quite noisy but they accommodated our request to sit upstairs where it was quieter, even though that section wasn't open yet. I wish, though, that their music wasn't quite as loud and that the speakers weren't quite so numerous.
We did find portion sizes smaller than other visits to other locations.
The food and service were fantastic! I took my father here, and he really enjoyed it too.
Excellent food, well prepared and presented by an extremely friendly staff.
A wonderful experience for our group of 6. Great service as always.
Must try the roasted cauliflower appetizer. It is amazing! We will definitely go back to try something else on the menu.
Nice variety of Lebanese cuisine to order from and tasty dishes though pricey.
Service was courteous and thoughtful as it was a birthday occasion.
Atmosphere was average, it got noisy during busy period with larger groups.
Absolutely delicious food, wonderful flavours - taste, colour, texture all excellent. Fun atmosphere. Good service too.
The food was ok but nothing special. The restaurant was busy and we had booked ahead for a double birthday celebration and were stuck next to the toilets in the hallway. We were not impressed with the atmosphere, service or the food
All was good. But the price is not value for money considering volume and quality of food and compared to other similar restaurant.
The manager (Anthea) is amazing, she remembered us, brought us our favorite wine, treated us like family. The food was once again amazing, the service is impeccable. I love Nuba even more than its predecessor (Orestes)
Ordered the grand feast for three. Overpriced. Very ungenerous portions. Meats over cooked. Baba ghanouj and hummus bland. Salad soggy. Will not eat here again. Very disappointed
