   Waitress spilt drink and didn’t offer to replace it. I imagine this didn’t happen bc the person was close to the end of their drink. It was an alcoholic beverage.

   Service was excellent and the food was very good. However, the noise level after a large party arrived was overwhelming and made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation. I don't know what can be done, but some noise reducing acoustical remodeling might help. Otherwise, the restaurant is very convenient and service outstanding.

   We had a reservation at the bar. We were greeted by kind staff, although they seemed to be a little confused about where we were sitting but quickly got us a  spot at the bar. Food was tasty, drinks were fabulous, but the bar staff either lacked personality, or had a very dry sense about them and seemed aggravated to be there. Nobody asked us how our food was once it arrived or bothered to check if the food was as ordered, (which it was not fyi). There was barely any people sitting at the bar next to us, (maybe three) yet we sat with empty drink glasses and dirty dishes the whole time. Yes, they were busy making drinks at times but they also stood at the other end of the bar talking to each other. I had higher expectations for this spot. I get people have off nights so I would maybe try again before writing them off.

   The lamb shishkabab was overcooked and hard to chew. Liked the popovers with honey butter a lot. Server was attentive but no warmth or charisma.

   Decided to try Nubar last minute for a late night dinner.. and I am so happy with everything I received! Santiago was our server, he was attentive and so sweet. We had the Armenian cheese platter and prosciutto flatbread for apps- for dinner I did the Young Chicken with orzo and my partner had the steak. Both were SO delicious. Restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Also got to meet the manager who was super helpful with questions for private events. You’re doing a great job, excited to come back

    We were looking for a Sunday Brunch place in Harvard Square. We have eaten at Nubar for lunch and dinner before. OpenTable brought up Nubar. As we scrolled through the menu listing, we saw at the bottom that Nubar offers Sunday brunch from 11-3 for $27. We thought....perfect and made a reservation. The food was good (not great). The swordfish was a little dry. But, we blanched when we got the bill and found out that it was $45/person not $27. I went back to the OpenTable listing and it says $27. While i understand that prices change. But, an increase of 60% seems a bit outrageous. This is especially concerning giving that there were far fewer offerings than one would expect at that price. They had turkey rather than beef or pork roast on the carving table, then the regular fair--omelets, fruit/yogurt pasties, a few vegetables, and cold French toast. Mimosas were not included. It was a nice breakfast bar. It was not a $45 Sunday Brunch. #Disappointed and #Misled

    The Armenian lamb kabob was way over cooked (was supposed to be medium but was well done) and too tough to eat. The New York strip was better, and the shrimp appetizer and potato leek soup were good. The waiter was friendly. This restaurant is located inside the Sheraton commander hotel

    We had the prix fixe dinner during restaurant week. My meal was the worst restaurant food I’ve had in at least a decade. The entree looked and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Very disappointing. Service was excellent but that did not make up for the dry, overcooked food

    Arghhh. This used to be a solid full-service restaurant of reasonable quality. That’s entirely changed. It has sharply declined in both food and service. The menu is quite limited, much of it one step above bar food. Not all the items listed in their menu online are offered in the restaurant. They have only five entrees, all notably over-priced. The sensible meal options are four sandwiches prepared in a mediocre way. There are also 3 flatbreads. The service is poor to amazingly poor (not even respectful). The managers clearly do not know how to run a restaurant. I ate here three times recently (because I couldn't believe the place had degraded so badly), so this is not just one bad night. As best I can tell, it declined sharply at the beginning of 2023. TripAdvisor rates it the 37th best restaurant in Cambridge (out of 308 restaurants), which is pretty poor, given that all of the other comparable but good restaurants (and several less expensive ones, like Red House, Russell House, and Grafton Street) are rated in the top 20. People seem to have gotten the idea: This place used to be bustling, and now it's only about one-third full. Do not go here until they re-work the place, whenever that will be. And definitely do not go expecting the old Nubar. This place is seriously degraded.

    After concert with friends. Excellent glazed salmon and roasted Brussels sprouts. Chocolate cake with four spoons the perfect ending. My favorite old fashion cocktail.

    I usually have one of their excellent chicken or fish full dinners, but went for the burger and fries. The burger was fine, but the fries were really hard. I would have asked for a new batch but they were busy with more customers than usual who were probably going to a concert down the street. I was one of them.

    Great restaurant! We've been going there for a few years now. The only problem is the noise level. It's unfortunate that no planning was done to mitigate this during the recent renovation. A minor gripe; the food and the service are always excellent!

    I have been here for Thanksgiving before and was truly disappointed this year. We were not seated in the restaurant but in a windowless hotel ballroom. The turkey was cold and the seating was poorly placed so that people's behinds bumped into us while we were eating. Service was borderline rude. I had planned to go back for Christmas as my daughter can't take a lot of time off work, but now I am thinking about getting Chinese for Christmas and going to the North End (where I have never been disappointed) the day after. Truly unfortunate.

    Sat on the patio for the first time. It’s fantastic!!! It felt like a quiet oasis in the city. The service was great! All the staff were attentive. I love the Fall menu. So many really good choices and our waitress gave us great recommendations. I can’t say enough about our entire experience. I love Nubar and the Sheraton Commander. I can’t wait to return and I will be telling friends and family that they must go. Thank you for a great night.

    Our Sunday evening visit to Nubar was unusual - the place was crowded and noisy. Fortunately, we were able to eat outdoors where the noise was minimal. The staff was well informed and helpful. The fall additions to the menu are terrific and were enjoyed. The menu offers plenty of variety and addresses dietary needs. Looking forward to a return visit.

    We have eaten here every year for ~15 years when staying at the connecting hotel and always loved it. This year, the food was very disappointing. Everything was over-salted and the Armenian Family special was unappealing and unappetizing with only 4 small chunks of overcooked lamb. The wait staff and ambiance were excellent.
