We are currently serving our breakfast buffet 7 days/wk, from 7am - 10:30am. The price is $26, and it includes coffee, tea, or juice. We are open for lunch 7 days/wk, from 11am - 2pm. We had a lovely meal at Nubar! We enjoyed an outdoor table on the patio - the service was great & the food was delicious! We especially enjoyed the popovers - what a treat! My husband LOVED the 3-course Armenian family recipe meal - thank you!

Nubar is in my neighborhood but I hadn't been in a while. I was interested in the fixed price Restaurant Week menu and went with a friend. The service was amazing, rare to find these days. Very professional and accommodating. My salad and friend's oysters were very good. My friend's steak was prepared per order, medium rare. Her carrots and creamy potato were excellent. My pasta was al dente and the light sauce was good. Our desserts were tasty and the waiter asked permission to package my leftover when I asked for a container.

We went for restaurant week and opted for the prix fixe menu. The oysters were small but good, the steak was delicious, but the poached peach melba looked like canned peaches topped with ice cream and raspberry drizzle. We were never asked if we would like a refill on our drinks or to refill our water, both of which we would have enjoyed. Our waiter was virtually non-existent and we were served by others instead. I wish we had spoken up. We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and it didn't live up to the special occasion I had envisioned.

I have been to Nubar a number of times before, and never has it disappointed. We sat outside on a lovely warm night (with perhaps a tad too much street noise). The menu was interesting, well prepared, and delicious. We were going on to a show at the Loeb, so even the location was perfect. Can't wait to go back!

Service was excellent and the food was very good. However, the noise level after a large party arrived was overwhelming and made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation. I don't know what can be done, but some noise reducing acoustical remodeling might help. Otherwise, the restaurant is very convenient and service outstanding.

We had a reservation at the bar. We were greeted by kind staff, although they seemed to be a little confused about where we were sitting but quickly got us a spot at the bar. Food was tasty, drinks were fabulous, but the bar staff either lacked personality, or had a very dry sense about them and seemed aggravated to be there. Nobody asked us how our food was once it arrived or bothered to check if the food was as ordered, (which it was not fyi). There was barely any people sitting at the bar next to us, (maybe three) yet we sat with empty drink glasses and dirty dishes the whole time. Yes, they were busy making drinks at times but they also stood at the other end of the bar talking to each other. I had higher expectations for this spot. I get people have off nights so I would maybe try again before writing them off.

The Sunday brunch buffet is basically my family's default celebration destination. It's not the biggest or fanciest spread, but for the price, it can't be beat, and it is superbly set up for bringing young children. This trip was for Mother's Day, and there was an expanded selection of hot foods and desserts. The mini tarts were especially delicious - they have amazing tart crust!!! I should also add that the location is fantastic for a family outing, being just outside of Harvard Square. There's a big park and playground directly across the restaurant, where kids can take a little break if needed. And the Harvard museums are a short walk away as well. So the entire experience makes coming to Nubar for Sunday brunch extra delightful.

Decided to try Nubar last minute for a late night dinner.. and I am so happy with everything I received! Santiago was our server, he was attentive and so sweet. We had the Armenian cheese platter and prosciutto flatbread for apps- for dinner I did the Young Chicken with orzo and my partner had the steak. Both were SO delicious. Restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Also got to meet the manager who was super helpful with questions for private events. You’re doing a great job, excited to come back

We were looking for a Sunday Brunch place in Harvard Square. We have eaten at Nubar for lunch and dinner before. OpenTable brought up Nubar. As we scrolled through the menu listing, we saw at the bottom that Nubar offers Sunday brunch from 11-3 for $27. We thought....perfect and made a reservation. The food was good (not great). The swordfish was a little dry. But, we blanched when we got the bill and found out that it was $45/person not $27. I went back to the OpenTable listing and it says $27. While i understand that prices change. But, an increase of 60% seems a bit outrageous. This is especially concerning giving that there were far fewer offerings than one would expect at that price. They had turkey rather than beef or pork roast on the carving table, then the regular fair--omelets, fruit/yogurt pasties, a few vegetables, and cold French toast. Mimosas were not included. It was a nice breakfast bar. It was not a $45 Sunday Brunch. #Disappointed and #Misled

The Armenian lamb kabob was way over cooked (was supposed to be medium but was well done) and too tough to eat. The New York strip was better, and the shrimp appetizer and potato leek soup were good. The waiter was friendly. This restaurant is located inside the Sheraton commander hotel

We had the prix fixe dinner during restaurant week. My meal was the worst restaurant food I’ve had in at least a decade. The entree looked and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. Very disappointing. Service was excellent but that did not make up for the dry, overcooked food

Arghhh. This used to be a solid full-service restaurant of reasonable quality. That’s entirely changed. It has sharply declined in both food and service. The menu is quite limited, much of it one step above bar food. Not all the items listed in their menu online are offered in the restaurant. They have only five entrees, all notably over-priced. The sensible meal options are four sandwiches prepared in a mediocre way. There are also 3 flatbreads. The service is poor to amazingly poor (not even respectful). The managers clearly do not know how to run a restaurant. I ate here three times recently (because I couldn't believe the place had degraded so badly), so this is not just one bad night. As best I can tell, it declined sharply at the beginning of 2023. TripAdvisor rates it the 37th best restaurant in Cambridge (out of 308 restaurants), which is pretty poor, given that all of the other comparable but good restaurants (and several less expensive ones, like Red House, Russell House, and Grafton Street) are rated in the top 20. People seem to have gotten the idea: This place used to be bustling, and now it's only about one-third full. Do not go here until they re-work the place, whenever that will be. And definitely do not go expecting the old Nubar. This place is seriously degraded.
