New Hyde Park Restaurants

Had to come back to Park Place when I saw that one of the appetizer specials was mussels oreganata and one of the entree specials was Thai jumbo shrimp. (I love seafood and don’t make it much at home so any opportunity that I have to eat fish out, I do, especially if the fish is prepared so well.) The mussels were sweet and delicious, with just the right amount of breadcrumbs in a lovely white wine sauce. The Thai jumbo shrimp were excellent! Perfectly prepared shrimp in a slightly sweet Thai coconut sauce, with jasmine rice and string beans. So good!! My husband had the bacon wrapped scallops (ate every last bite), and the country fried chicken, with mashed potatoes and string beans. Also excellent! We love Park Place and always have a wonderful time there. Great food, great staff, and great atmosphere.

The service was fabulous and the food was great. We will definitely be coming back!

The waiter was particularly caring, attentive and pleasant (Marvin). Disappointed in only corn bread. You used to have a delicious variety.

Excellent meal. Drinks complimented the appetizers beautifully. Main dishes of scallops, hangar steak and halibut were beautiful to see as well as to eat. Espresso martini and irish coffee great ending to a perfect meal. Looking forward to your patio opening so we can return and dine under the stars.

Food never disappoints here. It is very loud. Espresso martini is amazing!
