Such a disappointment. Went there for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend, only to discover that they had moved the restaurant out into the lobby area, so that the restaurant area could be used for private events. The new eating area is like a pop-up coffee shop. Not to mention, right in the middle of a busy lobby, with guests coming and going with luggage, etc. Noisy and crowded. We went out to the pool area to relax and have a drink only to be met with blasting club-like music. No way to have a conversation. So, we headed to the bar and decided just to eat there - bar food. The bartenders and bar backs were so busy and understaffed that the service ended up being intermittent and poor - not their fault. And then there are the prices! Holy cow! Very expensive for what could best be described as Denny's quality fare. I used to love the Lowe's and the fact that, as a Santa Monica local, I could go there for a yummy bite and good cocktail by the pool and watch the sunset and it was like a fun neighborhood secret. I won't be going back there again. It was a true disappointment.

Well, the food, once they provided what we actually ordered, was very very good. This was New Year's Eve, and they had a Prix Fixe menu, $100 a plate. A bit steep, but at least within reasonable range of other options we looked at in the area. Unfortunately, the waiter did not listen carefully, and put in the wrong order for my food. I had ordered the filet, he brought out fish for both myself and I, so they had to cook one up quick for me. Once I got it though, the filet was one of the best I have ever had. The ambiance is currently non-existent. As of January 2020, the real dining room is closed and they set up some tables that are essentially in the lobby / bar area, which isn't very nice - given the price.

This was a favorite for several years for Christmas Eve brunch with my dad. The move out to the atrium this year was not bad, as the decorations are absolutely lovely. I can adjust to that, although it feels a bit more casual out there. But the service was absolutely horrible. So disappointing. Coffee not left on the table anymore. I had to wait through most of my meal to get a refill. Orders imperfect. Much dripping of water and coffee by the server during pours. It's no longer a lovely dining experience.

you're paying for views the menu is from Mid-town manhattan circa 1995. The steaks were over cooked (we didn't send back due to time constraints) and they're clearly frozen... For such beautiful views not really a vibe here but old folks and 35 somehting couples from the mid-west eating here.

Exceptional view and best waiter we have had in a very long time. Hotel and restaurant was very nice, clean and impressive. The open Lani was a little chilly (on June 19 it was in low 70's) and windy but other than that it was nice fresh air and sea breezes. Will definitely go again.

Food was delicious, presentation was really nice, service was attentive. The restaurant was pretty empty when we went, probably because it was an overcast day at the beach. But everything was really excellent. We would definitely go back again.

This used to be a location that was beautiful with great service. Those days are over. The bathrooms had 8 stalls, half were broken. Ordering coffee took 20 minutes, we ordered pastries after 30 minutes we cancelled them. When the heater ran out of gas, no one ever replaced the tank, and it was very cold that morning. There is no reason to return.

Disappointed in the menu selection. It was not the lunch menu viewable online. It was the lunch menu from the Barbelle across the lobby form Ocean and Vine. Had my heart set on a cobb salad and it wasn't even an option on Barbelle's very limited tapas style menu. Very pricey for what we got. The view was nothing like pictured on their website either. I drove up from Orange County to have lunch with a friend and after almost 2 hours in traffic it was underwhelming to say the least:(

Very mediocre meal, inexperienced waitstaff was polite but uninformed. Beautiful view of the ocean, but the food was a real disappointment. Restaurant was empty but the service was slow and the food was unacceptable. The deconstructed smore dessert was a pleasant surprise. Skip the meal... just get the smore for dessert and some coffee while you watch the sunset.

Something has gone terribly wrong. Been here before and it was good. Menu was quite different from web menu. Wine list too. Good wines gone, prices up. Waiter was nice and found us the wine that used to be on the menu. But the new menu is more like a bar menu. Hardly anyone there. A couple of screaming kids. Once they’d gone a great place for conversation because it was so quiet. Some of food was very good. But who serves sorbet in a carton from the supermarket? All very strange.

We sat by the firepit and it was great. Nice for a chilly evening. Our service was great with lovely reccomendationa from our server. Everyone was friendly. I had the salmon and it tasted delicious. It came along with a bacon topping om a bed of watercress. I cant wait to have it again. Look forward to coming im again soom.

I loved how quiet the restaurant was on a Friday night in the heart of Santa Monica. So nice to be able to enjoy the conversation in a beauriful setting overlooking the pier. The seafood we ordered were fantastic and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Can't understand why this place is so quiet on a Saturday--great ambiance, excellent service, great food! Great selection of menu items, but not overwhelming. Apps: Cheese board was great. Hamachi crudo outstanding. Entrees: My gnocchi was superb. Short rib great. All entrees agreed were great across the board. Craft cocktail I had was delicious. Had the donuts for dessert--very fresh and tasty with nice dipping sauces. The hotel is beautiful, with great views--especially if you get an outside table. Should be more people visiting this very very good restaurant!!! Value for portion size is excellent too.

I went with a couple of friends at around 7pm, and it was perfect! We sat outside, but there were heat lamps to counter the chill if needed. We were offered blankets as well, but didn't need them. The entire staff was friendly and so helpful. The food was incredible. It was a perfect evening.

The view was amazing. Unfortunately there was a loud group of you teens at the table which was quite distracting. The food was good but not over the top good. The sea bass was good but the short ribs were overlooked. Overall a good experience
