   I have been a loyal customer of Ocean Prime for a number of years. Yesterday dining experience was TERRIBLE! Hannah was inefficient and carried on too many idle conversations with staff and other customers. Our food was brought to our table apparently after sitting for awhile. Some items were not hot. I think Hannah needs to pay better attention to her customers and check on them periodically. We were completely disappointed with our experience, especially since we were there to celebrate my birthday. A very disconcerting experience. I think Hannah needs additional training so that other patrons don't experience similar issues. I would not want her as my server in the future.

   This is an amazing place. The goat cheese ravioli is incredible. The halibut dish I had was the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Ask for Jason to be your server. He’s the perfect blend of professional and personable.

   What a wonderful night. I would suggest eating in the bar area if you like a lively and dark atmosphere. It did look like fun, but we were celebrating my friends' 40th wedding anniversary so I asked for a table in the main dining room where it was a little quieter. The restaurant is very cozy. The menu has a very good selection on steaks and fish. The waitress, Stephanie, was outstanding. The food was fresh and delicious. We started with cocktails and sushi followed by salads and our entrees, steak, salmon and the branzino. We also got some sides to share. Then there was a complimentary dessert for my friends'. Delicious. Stephanie suggested their warm cake with ice cream. Unbelievable! In today's world where service and quality has lessened it was so refreshing to dine at a restaurant where the customer is treated special and the service is what one would want and expect in such a fine restaurant. Bravo Ocean Prime. I can't wait to go back.

    Ocean Prime is a great place to eat and meet with friends or business associates. The food is top quality. We had everything from Wagyu strip steak, Chilean Sea Bass, Scallops & Risotto, to a prime rib burger. The large Crab Cakes are the best I've tasted from Maine to California and we had a friendly fight at the table as to whether the lobster bisque or the french onion soup was the best (I prefer the lobster bisque). The service (Stephanie) was timely, friendly, and most important, knowledgeable. The lower dining area is very noisy, so if you want to be heard easily, sit on the main floor. Don't forget that Ocean Prime is pricey, but if you want food, drink, and service the way it is supposed to be, you need to be here.

    Great food and ambiance but the prices have just gotten out of hand. $17 for a chop-chop salad? This is Detroit after all, not New York City. I can afford to pay the prices but unfortunately few of my friends or relatives can and I'm not going to eat by myself. Having to pay for sides has always felt like a rip off but was grudgingly accepted to enjoy a top restaurant but with their prices going up and up (and more and more other restaurants including sides), it's just not worth it anymore. Not to mention that the appetizers are very expensive as well. I used to come here often but now it will only be reserved for very, very special occasions.

    I ordered the Gerber chicken & it was really dry. The truffle, macaroni and cheese was delicious. The house salad is normally pretty good. This time I feel like it was overdressed with dressing and only had two slices of apple in it. The salad seemed larger than normal, which is a bang for your buck.

    We have made it a tradition more or less to have Mother's Day Brunch at Ocean Prime. My wife had the crabcake benedict and I had the short rib with lobster. We both loved our meals and then had the carrot cake for dessert. Our server was great and provided the appropriate level of service. We ate early due to an engagement after brunch so the restaurant was not too busy when we arrived, but when we left, it looked pretty full. I have been to OP many times and have never been disappointed. It is great for special occasions or if you just want an excellent meal.

    Took forever for our waiter to come to our table we had to ask where is a waiter? Drinks took forever. The lobster we ordered as a side was unappealing and tasted fishy. The filet was dry. It's really expensive. The waiter tried to make up for the slow turn on drinks and presented us with two free drinks and the third person got nothing which was really tacky.

    I was there to celebrate my birthday over the weekend. I ordered the wedge salad which I have ordered before. Limited amount of bacon on the salad and had to request additional bleu cheese. My entree was the teriyaki salmon which had a limited amount of teriyaki as well: husband enjoyed his salad, steak. We also had spinach, baked potatoes and the truffle macaroni and cheesecake I did get the ten layered carrot cake; which I will eat today. Lemonade was good and so was our service.

    I would recommend Ocean Prime to a friend or coworker due to the fact their food is really good. Unfortunately I did not sense a wow factor. There were so many people dressed down yet the website stated that it is strict rules for dress code. The potatoes on my plate were cold yet the fish was hot.
