    Delicious, inventive food with great flavors. Lots of mushrooms and veal on last nights seasonal menu so that was delicious! Lovely parklet that also works when it’s chilly outside. It has a PAC Heights clientele which is not our thing but it’s location sorta between Fillmore and Pac Heights would lend to that. We’ll be back!

    What an amazing experience. Our server, Chris was fantastic. We celebrated my wife's birthday and she couldn't have been happier with her experience. Will definitely come back. So much flavor! Highly recommend the tasting menu!

    Octavia is wonderful - delicious, innovative food, and thoughtful, unhurried service. We shared an avocado appetizer, and each had a pasta dish: fettuccine with a mushroom and creme fraiche sauce, and tortilloni filled with porcini mushrooms. The dessert of rhubarb granita was the perfect ending to the meal. Octavia is a great restaurant, in a quiet neighborhood, a delightful spot for dinner.

    We, and our Norwich Terrier Mr. Darcy, were welcomed wit such warmth and grace that we immediately felt ‘at home’. The park let seating area is one of the very best and most comfortable in The City. The food is exquisite and the service is elegant. Kudos major!

    Always a pleasure eating at Octavia. The restaurant is our go-to place for special occasions. My wife and I always have the wonderful chef's tasting menu with the fabulous wine parings. The servers are all great and knowledgeable. Such a great experience, and an opportunity to expand our San Francisco dining experiences. Thank you all.

    The idea of stellar product handled with skill and cares a great equation. The simplicity of design is translated into the dishes and the wine list is solidly complete including some very fun wines not seen on a lot of wine lists.

    They charge 6% surcharge in the bill when presented. This should have been informed to their customers by servers when the bill is presented before they sign the check. My case wasn’t.

    Went for my birthday. We had 7 dishes (4 people) and they were all delicious. The weakest was the cod as it was slightly fishy tasting. Service was great. Would definitely return.

    A+ food was incredible, fresh and interesting, great flavor. Love your restaurant food philosophy- farm to table. Server was very attentive and generous. All the staff attentive and friendly. We were so happy to spend our 12 year anny here and will be back!

    Amazing food and service. Very seasonal and wine list was great. One guest had a dairy allergy and they really made her feel comfortable and she had a lot of options!

    A lovely place to have a great meal. Everyone was so responsive and helpful. We started with the fresh bread, asparagus and salad. All were great. Main courses; ravioli and Cod. Both were excellent. Our waitress could not have been nicer and so helpful at guiding us through the meal. It is an expensive place, but worth it. Enjoy!

    The place is beautiful. Service was courteous, friendly, and down to earth. The food was spectacular. The home made bread is extremely tasty, and the wine selection is fantastic. We ended up ordering a wine from Priorat that was extremely good, balanced, and great for our food selection. My only comment is that we wanted to be seated in the dining room. When we got there the restaurant had just opened and they were empty. The maitre told us there was no space in the dining room for us, so they gave us a table is the street covered patio. I was disappointed about that. Other than that initial incident, our dinner was flawlessly executed. Congratulations to the team.

    We love this restaurant..,the most tasty items with a new and fresh presentation. The gnudi both spinach and ricotta were pillows of pasta heaven. The service is so attentive and helpful. Alway a wonderful evening of culinary perfection.

    Very much a letdown in terms of the food. We had the tasting menu and wine pairing, and the wine was good but the food left much to be desired. We'd heard great things about Octavia but our meal was well below average, alas.

    We has a lovely evening in the parklette and enjoyed the tasting menu. The tasting menu included many items from the ala carte menu and the portions were perfectly sized. The parklette was comfortable and quiet. My husband enjoyed the wine pairings. And when we said we aren’t really dessert eaters, the waiter accommodated us with a fruit forward dessert and a loaf to bread to take home. Truly a special meal and lovely ambiance.

    We have been coming here for years, we always some amazing meals, some of the best in SF! last night was very disappointing! The salad had a minuscule amount of lettuce, definitely no castelfranco, it had frisee and thin slices of fennel, and was heavily dressed . The beets were undercooked and had barely 2 pieces of beets and one orange segment! the pasta was absurdly small and had one mushroom cut up into small pieces tops, it tasted like cremini but could not tell, no flavor no spice, not good The Cod, had a few beans, and in no way resembled a " cioppino", and the Quail was good, small but tasted like a quail. The Cauliflower tamale was the only interesting thing we had but not worth the $30 price tag. Nothing tasted special. We sat by the kitchen and I watched a female cook put food in her mouth the whole time, it made me feel like not wanting to eat anything at all! $300+ bill was not worth spending it there.

    We were there for one of their special events (duck & wine pairing) and it was absolutely delicious. The meal was well paced. Service was friendly and attentive but not invasive. Would definitely be baxk for a normal meal or abother special event.

    What a wonderful dining experience. We were lucky enough to be a part of the duck and wine tasting special event, and it was excellent. The chef and wine purveyor put together an excellent menu and pairing, in an elegant but casual atmosphere. It was a fantastic way to spend our last evening in San Francisco.
