    Such a great experience, the food and service were impeccable! The duck was delicious and was surprised by the brassica and eggplant. Never liked those vegetables initially and somehow they prepared them to be so flavorful and the plating was beautiful. The swarm service and table maintenance was also so smooth. Definitely coming back, want to try their spaghetti martini.

    The food is simply perfection and I asked to split a pork chop and for medium well done …. So their wonderful chef prepared it cut into slices …. Made it so convenient for us ….. our servers were above average and the place is so pretty …. A true favorite 🩷

    We just flew from Seattle to attend a concert and this restaurant was recommended to us. We enjoyed every second of being there. Service was outstanding from everyone. The food was so outstanding I would fly back to Austin just to taste it all over again!!

    From the moment we entered from the moment we left we felt the southern hospitality. The biscuits are a star but the lamb and the shrimp are a close second.

    Host seated us next to a loud and obnoxious group without warning us( group actually were boasting about chasing the prior couple away), we tried to return to the bar but our seats we’re gone. Pork was dry, Servers and biscuits were good, overall experience was disappointing since we could barely hear each other speak.

    The service is excellent. The food fails at its attempt at southern /Asian fusion. Southern does not mean just add more butter. The price point is fairly high for the style of food. The cocktail program is absolutely excellent and it’s definitely worth going to grab a seat at the bar. In terms of food they have an excellent biscuit recipe, but beware of anything with rice because the sheer amount of butter added to all of the rice dishes might give you a coronary. Gumbo should not be vegan. The restaurant references Leah Chase’s gumbo z’herbs, which is made with sausage, veal and beef brisket—it’s not vegetarian in the slightest. Blackened fish should actually BE blackened, adding smoked paprika is not the same thing. Also . . . Southern restaurant lean into the seasoning—Olamaie does not. So yeah, sit at the bar—order a fancy cocktail and have dessert.

    Amazing Southern Food, cooked to perfection. The hush puppies, the biscuit, the pork chop, the okra. Divine. Also our waiter Matt was hilarious. Great guy.

    Thoughtful, delicious take on souyhern cuisine. Especially enjoyed appetizers tomatoe buttermilkdressing which was a highlight.biscuits are a must, green salad better Than average. Rec’s by server to share entree was appropriate as long as several appetizers were included.

    This was my first visit. Noise level for the dining room inside was high and not suitable if you want a dining experience where conversation with your partner is important. Had two appetizer (one tomato based and one beef based) both of which were flavorful. Chose the pork dish as main. Nicely prepared, moist and succulent. I will certainly return to sample other dishes on the menu.

    Let me first say, all of our food was amazing. They knocked it out if the park. We went to celebrate our 25th anniversary. But the biscuits? What?! Unexpected, almost missed even seeing them on the menu and they were the best biscuits that I have ever had!! (With this honey butter that I cannot even describe. Again, almost didn’t try it. So glad we did). Red snapper-killer. Tried the lamb-loved it. Had tomatoes and beef belly apps. Unbelievable! The wait staff all were friendly and attentive. Ali was amazing. Highly recommend this place

    Terrific hospitality and food experience. Was expecting the chef’s table to be more quiet and intimate with perhaps a visit by the chef. Minus the lack of intimacy and noise level this place is one of the best southern food experiences you can have!

    Overall a lovely restaurant. The positives were the service, which was excellent, as was the beef tartare appetizer. The overall atmosphere was a bit too hustle and bustle for my liking, and the noise level was above average, putting those who are naturally more soft-spoken at a disadvantage. Not the restaurant for an intimate date. The meal itself was, in my humble opinion, very good, but not worthy of 5-stars. The grilled Pork Chop was plentiful, the Gulf Shrimp were a tad overcooked, and there was a slight pool of orange oil remaining under the Jefferson Red Rice. The Grits were way too cheesy, if that's even possible, and the $4 biscuits should have definitely been complimentary. It would have been a nice signature touch, given the not so modest entreé prices. Finally, we are still debating whether the gratuity was included on the bill or not. The server explained to the couple next to us that it was, but I didn't see that reflected on our bill, so we were unsure. Ready to leave, we decided to leave a tip regardless, since the service was worth it. I would give Olamaie another try in the future, with cautious optimism.

    Our dinner at Olamaie was exceptional. We are staying across the street literally and the restaurant was recommended by our host. The food was absolutely incredible. My jumbo gulf shrimp with red rice was buttery, rich and scrumptious. My husband's pork chop was to die for. Don't leave the bones on your plate!!!! The Apple Cobbler Semifreddo was the highlight of the meal. I've never had a dessert like that in my life. All this coupled with the fact that we wanted to come earlier than our reservation and they accommodated us. This restaurant is an absolute gem. Thank you Olamaie for a truly memorable experience.

    Loved this restaurant! Also, loved the approach to the gratuity added to the bill. So important to be ensuring that staff are paid well and with benefits!!! My daughter works as a server for North Italia and some days will work a 5 hour shift and make only $30 because people don't tip! And she's such a good worker, I know it's not her, it's people, unfortunately. The service industry really needs to move toward what your'e doing...so hopefully you can start a trend.
