This was our 39th wedding anniversary dinner and we were brought a champagne toast to celebrate on the house!! Just a lovely gesture! We ate the Best steaks we ever had!! Our waiter was wonderful and very knowledgeable on the steaks, restaurant background and history. The service was great! Took dessert home which was amazing! Will definitely go back and recommend to our friends.

This was our 2nd time dining at Old Hickory, first time was 9 years ago when the restaurant was busy and lively. The place is huge now and has hardly any people. The food and drinks are way overpriced. The drinks were not great but the food was tasty. Everything on the menus is overpriced and I wont be returning.

Was better than I expected. My husband and I stayed at the Gaylord and wanted to go to a restaurant that was close by. Food was excellent. Service was incredible. Very nice dining atmosphere. My husband and I agreed that we would come back even if we weren’t staying at the hotel. Definitely would recommend to family and friends.

The food was highly average (tomahawk steak not worth it....just get a filet and a side). Way overpriced. The place was almost empty and we still couldn't get water glasses and wine refills. The sides were supposed to be family style but there was barely enough in the dishes for two to share. This place needs new management or something. They are trying to be Ruths Chris and are failing. Nothing was really impressive except the view.

My wife and I really like the atmosphere of this place. We arrived around 6:30 for a 7:15 reservation but the place was pretty much empty and we were seated immediately. We requested a window seat. We were given a window seat in an empty room of a brick patio when their were plenty of empty seats (all of them) with a river view. The waiter was nice but anytime we asked about something on the menu he pulled out his cell phone to give us the answer from Wikipedia?? He was attentive but I guess not confident in his answers to menu questions. They have a $90.00 steak on the menu which I asked about. I ordered this just to try a $90.00 steak. It was not worth the money and actually preferred the $50.00 filet my wife had much better. The sides we were told feed 3 to 4 people but that is not the case. I would go with 1.5 people tops. Overall we will eat here again. I definitely will not be getting the $90.00 steak.

The crab cakes were not fresh. They had a slight freezer taste to them. The sauteed spinach was delicious. Filet mignon was not cooked as desired. I could have sent my food back but chose not to because of past experiences with sending food back. Great views, the service was good. Ambiance was great. So, this place may work for others but I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't go back...at least not for a medium well filet mignon and crab cake. So, not worth the price.

We were very disappointed this time. The service was slow. Waiters were engaged in conversations and our food was sitting in front of us. It took forever to get my dessert, I ended up cancelling it. We asked for a window table a month ahead and they had that area closed when we got there. In comparison to other times we had been there, they really did not have a lot of customers. The waiters did not have the same type of demeanor. The ambiance was not the same. It was my husband's birthday and I was really sad about the experience.

Started the evening at a pleasant noise level but changed when a large group of women were sat amongst 4 couples. Dont put them on the other side of the room with the other large groups.
We were disappointed at the limited steak size selections and or cuts. None the less the meal was good and the service was outstanding. The cocktails were great as well.

Awesome experience. My wife and I just got married a few days before. We decided to go to National Harbor for a mini honey moon. The atmosphere in the steakhouse was fancy and romantic with dim lighting. Noise level was perfect which lead to an intimate dining experience. The staff were more than friendly and our server was very personable and knowledgeable. Our server honestly told us what food items were worth trying (popular) and ones that were not (not a big hit). He was correct and we respected his word. At the end of our dinner, the manager gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate our union of marriage. This experience has exceeded OUR expectations. You will not be disappointed in any capacity.

The lady at the front desk hold me until the precise time of my reservation just to be precise !!! Really ! Plenty of available tables. Waiters more concerned in arranging empty tables instead of serving the clients. I ordered a glass of wine and the waiter poured the last wine in the bottle which was less then a half glass. So, this is the type of service you will finds there.

Be warned, this is not a steak house. Servers at a real steak house should be able to describe the cuts of meat, how they are prepared, and differences between the few selections they did have. We were amused, but barely, that the server pointed to the area under their arm to describe the steak. didn't tell us very much about what to expect, how it would taste, how it was prepared, nothing. the best thing going for this restaurant is the young lady who brought around the cheese cart, and described them with so much passion and knowledge. Really disappointed.

I ordered chicken but it was very dried. My daughter ordered fish and it was very fishy. My husband ordered steak which was good but not better than any restaurants we have been and we only paid 30-45$ instead of paying $70. We were very disappointed!

Came here for a birthday celebration. Food was amazing as expected. Got the crab cake and poached scallops for appetizers. Had the Tomahawk steak, which is a massive 38oz cut from rib (and includes a bone shank cut open to allow you to get to the wonderful marrow). The steak is billed for two but could easily feed three people. Great views of the river and sunset from floor-to-ceiling windows. Price is $$$$ but great for a special occasion.
