   Old Lyme Inn was everything my guest and I expected. Colonial, quaint quiet with wonderful soft jazz played out in the lobby. The food was well prepared and absolutely wonderful. The only thing I would give a low score on was the Prosecco/Champaign wasn't very bubbly, but then I was enjoying everything that I didn't bother to ask the bartender to open a fresh bottle. I would truly advise if it is a wonderful Sunday morning brunch with a sedate atmosphere (not old), Old Lyme Inn is a marvelous find!

   Nice breakfast. Menu limited. No hash browns, home fries were burnt. Good service. Quiet only in side dining room, main one is a zoo. A piano player is enough, don’t need a trio. Moderate prices.

   Food was mediocre. Servers seemed very stressed. Corned beef and cabbage soup was delicious.

   We were going to the Side Door Jazz Club and this is at the same site. Wonderful staff, just super friendly and helpful. Nice place to have dinner before jazz.

   We were there to celebrate a birthday and it was perfectly lovely. The food was excellent. And the staff put a candle in the flourless chocolate cake for us too. We look forward to making a return soon. Pro tip: Order the shrimp pad Thai! It was amazing.

   We enjoyed our Tea experience at the Old Lyme Inn . The Inn is very beautiful with old time charm and character. We were made to feel comfortable . Dining room we sat in was very nice windows in the front looked out into the front garden area and the day we were there it was snowing so it made a very pretty atmosphere. The food was very tasty. We will definitely be back !

    The restaurant was fine, the service was wonderful, the tea was great but the food was okay at best. The cucumber sandwich bread was stale and there was barely anything on it. The other items were okay but I have had much better at other teas I have been to (Mystic for example).

    Came across the "Afternoon Tea" at the Old Lyme Inn on their website and thought it would be something different to do with my girlfriends. Along with me, they loved the experience. It was like playing "tea party" when we were children which was always a fun time. The only drawback was the price. I found it a little too steep. Would love to do this more frequently, but financially, I don't think I would be able to do this as often as I would like. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience and, yes, I would most likely do it again.

    We enjoy going to the The Side Door Jazz Club, next-door to the Old Lyme Inn, and the jazz trio was a wonderful accompaniment to our Valentine's Dinner. Grilled and spicy shrimp were delicious and just the perfect amount of cajun spice. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and tender. The creme brûlée was creamy and delicious served with mouth watering chocolate dipped strawberries. Beautiful ambience.

    Three of us were at the Inn to celebrate a birthday. Everything looked lovely and the pianist, although a tad loud at times was wonderful. I was rather disappointed with the food, the price of eggs…and the lack of choices. Five choices for breakfast and 2 for lunch…not much at all to choose from. Leslie was our server, she was kind, patient , did not rush us at all and was readily available. I was so hoping that the food would of been more interesting since it was a birthday luncheon for a friend I’ve known for years and sadly, do not have the pleasure of seeing that often.

    Special tea service for Valentine's Day. Average experience compared to other teas I've attended and not as good as last year here. Food just okay - not all made on site. Clotted cream was not the real thing - it was just watery whipped cream. Sandwiches were good, curry one could have bit more curry. Waitress was not friendly and did not speak up; hard to hear/understand her. Hostess and manager were VERY good and nice/friendly/welcoming.

    We had a delicious meal at the Old Lyme Inn and received excellent service. We were very comfortable seated in the small dining room which was very quiet and nicely decorated. Everyone was very cordial and we didn’t feel rushed to leave when we finished lunch. I look forward to going back soon.

    Delicious food, attentive service, excellent experience! Went before a date at the side door jazz club. I’d recommend getting a drink at dinner to take with you to side door. Not enough staff for sold out crowd at jazz club. All in all we had a spectacular night. Would’ve stayed at the inn, but they have a 2 night minimum which we didn’t need. Great restaurant though.

    We enjoyed ahi tuna and duck. Excellent mushroom soup appetizer, not too creamy. Good cocktails and then a show at the Sidedoor Jazz Club. We will return hopefully soon!

    Great food & what a buffet! delicious & too much to choose from. And then the short walk (inside) into the jazz club. Our table was right up front & bar service good. The performance kept us rapt & acoustics were great.

    My husband and I brought a visiting friend to Old Lyme Inn for Christmas Eve dinner and had a wonderful evening. We consider Old Lyme one of our favorite restaurants in the area and this dinner just confirmed our choice. The food was excellent (prime rib, lamb and duck were our selections) and the service, as well. Our server was Angel, who remembered us from previous visits and was wonderful, as always. The jazz trio was minus its drummer that night, but their music always delights. And the restaurant decor & ambience set the mood for a lovely evening. Thank you, Old Lyme Inn.

    We had a wonderful relaxing evening. Dinner was delicious. My duck was cooked to perfection and the appetizers were very good. The waitress was more than helpful and very patient with us. My only recommendation would be to have a few specials on a Friday and Saturday night and include some vegetarian options.

    It was a pleasant lunch. The server was alone, so she was a bit abrupt. I asked for cappuccino, her reply was the machine is old and would take a while to get going. Not the reply she should have given. The menu was very limited, but the food was very good.

    My husband and sister-in-law and I went to Old Lyme Inn for brunch on Sunday and -- as always -- we had a lovely time. The brunch was delicious. Our server recognized us from previous visits and -- again, as always -- she was terrific. The jazz trio was playing in the back room, also wonderful as always. Old Lyme Inn remains one of our favorite restaurants. Thank you.

    We had a very pleasant brunch with attentive service. The California Eggs Benedict were quite delightful however the plates on which they were served were cold and so the eggs did not retain the heat.Never the less they were still delicious.

    Lovely wait person. Support people not so good for the type of restaurant it’s supposed to be. Don’t appreciate being called “guys”. Tuna was tough and soup was not served hot
