Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. Thank you
Our group of 6 were here for a Sunday dinner. The seafood papardelli was fantastic! (The croquettes received mixed reviews.) The service was great, the staff were very attentive, yet not overly so. This was my first visit to any restaurant since the start of the pandemic, there was lots of spacing between tables. Overall a very enjoyable evening.
We enjoyed everything about the restaurant, food, and service.
Excellent service and it was a wonderful family time👍😘
First off parking is not good. Lot says parking for Old Mill Inn and when inside we were told we had to go pay $2 an hour.
When we checked in they wished us happy anniversary. It was our 40th.
Side caesar salad served in small soup bowl making it very difficult to eat. Should have been served on a plate. Asked for plate and waiter brought it. Much easier.
Lamb shank was excellent and salmon good.
Asked for bread with meal and bread is not offered.
Ordered wine and waiters kept glasses filled. Service was great.
It was our 40th wedding anniversary and surprised that no complementary champagne or dessert given.
Lovely experience. One of my favorite places. 5:00 dinner sitting very low attendance--good time, now, for a quiet, reflective dinner. Service very good with"personalized" attention. Food very well prepared. Good to be back.
Pleasant environment for a sit down meal, but the restaurant seems to be understaffed. Had to wait over an hour and a half for the food to arrive. Missing items/ingredients in my order.
Felt hectic and rushed. Food was lovely.
Planning on doing every thanksgiving lunch here. Great food and service. I would highly recommend.
The fixed menu was not great, very expensive for the quality of the food. My prime rib was overdone and the Yorkshire’s were too
The Old Mill is much how we remembered it from our last visit, some 11 years ago. No buffet due to COVID restrictions but frankly, table service was a better experience.
However, the place is in need of a decor update.
The food was plentiful and well worth the cost.
Good food, slow service. The area did not look full, but maybe there was a wedding
Waited over 15 minutes before a waiter came to our table. When one finally did he was quite rude told us he was just here to bring water and that he wasn't our waiter and we'd have to wait for our waiter to come before we could order. Waited another near 10 minutes for our waiter and then the wait time for our food to arrive was very long. Used to love going to the Old Mill but it's been like this the last couple of times. They really need to address this lack of service and rude staff. Would usually rave about this place but not anymore.
It was great to be back at the Old Mill. We had the thanksgiving menu and it was incredible. I’ll be back for tea and Christmas !!!
Lovely traditional setting, quiet service, great for a family occasion.
The service and attention to our group was excellent.
It felt like a special occasion. We were in a quiet corner which allowed me to hear others in the group.
We are planning on returning for brunch during the Christmas Season.
Food and drinks were way overpriced.
For the price the value is certainly poor.
Service and atmosphere was good.
I won’t be returning any time soon.
Old mill restaurant was a really lovely experience. The decorations were fantastic and the food outstanding. Service was great. We had two birthdays to celebrate and our server Lionel brought the creme brûlée cheesecake which was fantastic and he even put a candle on it. The whole experience was terrific. We plan to go back again soon.
We enjoyed the ambience and service was very good .
Was just a bit disappointed to find out that what was on the menu on the internet from open table and website was not the same when we got there . Price was very high from what we were expecting when we checked on the website.
The service, ambience, facility and greeting is always good. It is just the food that is very ordinary both in quality and in presentation.
We were celebrating our anniversary in Old Mill today as we got married in here. The food was amazing and we enjoyed the pretty patio so much. But the experience from the service was not very well today - There has been nobody came taking order proactively until a long while, including ordering a drink and the meal. And when we got the tea, there was no tea spoon provided, when we got the steak, there was no steak knife provided, so we had to ask for it. Lastly, when getting the bill, we were being asked at least twice about what we had ordered in order to get the bill correctly. So the overall service was not good. Again the food is amazing as always but sometimes service may ruin the brand so there seems to have some improvements needed here.
Old Mill seems to be back up to its former standards, which is nice to see. Service was attentive, although our server wasn't very familiar with the new menu which was a bit unusual and couldn't adequately describe what some of the dishes were.
The dining room was a bit cold, but due to being in between seasons, this makes sense.
It felt comfortable to dine indoors, there weren't too many people in the dining room and all Covid protocols were followed.
Overall, pleasantly surprised with our lunch and very glad we ventured out after not having been in a long time.
A quiet spot for a special evening. Attentive service.
It was our first and last time, food was mediocre at best and the service was the worse.
Food and service was great. We sat in the dining room and it was very dark.
Excellent food. Menu somewhat limited, but excellent.
A lovely summer patio. Very picturesque. Nice ambiance with tables scattered in nooks and around the stone walls accented by greenery. The lighting was moderate and the noise level perfect for conversation. The service was excellent, timed perfectly. We had steak frites. The steak was cooked as requested however a B grade of meat. The frites were hot, and delicious.
As I looked around, the patio , tables were nicely spaced and and there were all ages and smart casual dress to very sharp outfits.
I will return and highly recommend this restaurant.
Poor selection on menu. Food is not good and expensive. There should be a railing on the steps to the patio from indoors for safety.
Arrived for a 2:00 pm patio reservation to find the reception in disarray. We were seated at a table and waited 10 minutes to be greeted, another 10 minutes to have a waiter come by; another 10 minutes to receive our drinks and another 10 minutes for food. The menu attempts to span the gamut from pub food, falafel hut and fine dining and fails on all fronts. A beautiful venue spoiled by a lack of attention to quality and service. Won't be back anytime soon.
We have been long time customers of The Old Mill: we had our wedding reception here and actually live right next door!
We had the steak frites (fries with truffle oil and Parmesan cheese grated on top). The steak was perfectly cooked medium-rare and the serving of fried was so generous: both my husband and I really enjoyed our meal (we ordered the same thing).
For dessert, we had the 24 Hour Peanut Butter Bar and also loved that: I actually wanted to get a second serving!
The service was impeccable: water glasses promptly filled, plates cleared, and lovely manners.
We love The Old Mill and we can’t wait for the Sunday buffet to come back! We love being able to come for a beautiful dinner or brunch: it’s so beautiful, the decor, the atmosphere, the staff and of course, the food!
Food & service was mediocre. Servers should have better practices when it come to hygiene- glasses were put on the table with his hand over where we drink from instead of the stem of the glass. Finger was in food when handing dishes.
The tables and chairs were pretty wobbly because of the uneven patio stones.
The only redeeming factor is the setting. Has a beautiful garden and fountain. I would not recommend or go back there.
Wonderful patio setup, attentive and friendly staff. Food was delicious!
A big shout out to Muhammad, Zaike, Erin and Dining Room Manager Penny. We had a beautiful birthday dinner for our daughter, and the staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Will return forever.
Ate on Sept 5th.limited choices
Mediocre good poor service.
very nice ambiance.. very good service food was ok drinks very good
A wonderful summer evening at The Old Mill patio. Excellent and professional service - Peter was our server, he was there whenever we needed him, and yet allowed us our privacy. We will definitely go back and encourage everyone to go. The Old Mill is rejuvenated, a secluded haven in west Toronto, socially distant, safe.
Patio is a lovely area and service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We were not rushed at all (actually had to ask for the check). I was a little disappointed with the food. It was good but not of the calibre I usually associate with the Old Mill. It was the day of the air show so ambiance was a little overpowered at times by the jets overhead. But all part of a re-opening summer so no complaints.
Lovely patio, lots of shade, attentive service, food well-priced and comparative to other fine dining location. Just don't sit near the fountain - lovely to look at, but quite noisy. Overall, very nice experience.
Sadly, the burger was dry and tasteless - not what one expects from a $21 burger.
