Wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. Great food! 5:30 on Sunday was good, less busy.
Everything on Brunch was definitely very good... To be marked as "Outstanding" I found poor meat selection - missing pork schnitzel (cut to smaller pieces or mini version) would be a superb deal instead of gooey/bony Ox tail... In poultry poor selection - instead complicated breaded turkey baked with cheese and tomato sauce would be a deal make simple grilled/fried drumsticks and tenders seasoned in variety flavor (Garlic, BBQ,Herbs)... Sweets I found as sugar/calories packed "heavy artillery"- It would be amazing found instead that light fruity foamy creamy crispy stuff... The place is entirely amazing and if management improve food selection (mentioned above) this surely make them No.1 in Great Toronto - Outstanding *(five star) place making them Fully booked for 53weeks/year!!!!!! With improved food selection They will deserve that!!!!!
An elegant and cozy ambiance with verity of great foods!
Good food excellent entertainment beautiful venue
Mansour was a great addition to the ambience of a long weekend family brunch
Thanking you all from our family to yours
I would recommend Old Mill any time. Love it there! It is expensive but it is not an all the time thing so for special events why not!?
The buffet has a wide range of food options. The kids enjoyed the chocolate fountain.
food was ok...for $70 per person there could be more selection available as well as the quantity
We like the atmosphere and music and dancing but the food isn’t so tasty. I been few times and the menu was the same.
Very lovely! We went for lunch buffet and it was gorgeous, it felt like we were somewhere else. The food was delicious, there was not a single dish I did not like. And the dessert was so so good. Customer service was great, the waiting staff were very nice and hospitable and constantly checked to refill drinks and take away dirty plates. I would definitely come back here again for all occasions.
The food was good, except the salad which was a disappointment. Also the scallops - tasty but tiny. Maybe make the plate smaller?
We were very disappointed not to have the pianist play more music we could dance to. We got to dance only once - to a waltz. Last year we danced in between almost every course. It was fantastic!
It was a lovely place to spend Valentines dinner with friends. A price fixe Valentines 5 course menu, roses for the ladies, excellent food and service. We really enjoyed our time at the Old Mill!
its not the quiet place it used to be for brunch. It was packed with lots of families which is fine but very loud.. Long line ups for the buffet but the buffet was good
Overall we were all very pleased with the food and service. However, we were disappointed that a lot of
the food dishes were emptied before we went through the buffet and were not refilled until we were ready for dessert. I believe this is one area that could use improvement.
Foid was good but not a fan of new menu. Band was a bit loud.
We went back four 30th anniversary and was underwhelmed. Good atmosphere but pricey for the food quality. The A la cart is limited in choice. Had the Octopus Papas Bravas, which could have been a bit more tinder and the tentacles larger. Prime rib was served cool but the quality of beef good. More vegetables with the serving would improve this dish. Service was okay but not exceptional.
Menu and wine selection limited and disappointing. Always enjoy the ambiance. The band was actually quite good
It is a bit pricey but the variety of food at their brunch is likely the best I have ever seen. Their coffee is excellent. Great for a special occasion.
We were delayed with car trouble and so arrived late for the birthday lunch we had planned.we were sort of mostly forgotten as our server was much more attentive to other diners.
For example, the two glasses of overpriced wine we ordered took at least 20 minutes to arrive.
The food was what you would expect from being left out for 90 minutes.
The server was so distracted at the end collecting money from the other diners, she “forgot” to bring the coffee I had ordered. I ordered that when we were settling the bill.
Frankly, I expected much more from a restaurant that calls itself Fine Dining.
We came to see Fleetwood MAC Mania. Service was slow. Chicken was a bit dry.
We went to the Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show with a group of 12. The band was excellent!
The dinner options were great, the service great and a great time was had by all! My group wants to go back for another evening of dinner and dancing soon.
I enjoyed the presentation , the quality of food and variety.
Some of the desserts were too sweet and less quality then I had previously.
The food was not worth the price. The food did not taste that great.
Very friendly, attentive and efficient staff. Great atmosphere. Room is beautiful with high ceilings and tables nicely set. Wonderful selection of salads, soup, main courses, desserts and fruit. Our party did not feel rushed and we ended up staying for 3 hours. Definitely would return.
Excellent dining experience. Delicious food. Awesome selection.
The Ukrainian Christmas buffet at Old Mill surpassed my expectations! Impressive abundance and variety, and everything was fresh and flavourful. The seafood station was a standout especially the salmon with a thai sauce and mussels with honey mustard sauce. The white balsamic salad dressing was so yummy I was scooping it up with a spoon! I don't think I have ever done that before. ;) Other favourites were the kompot, borshch, mushroom gravy, sauerkraut varenyky and prime rib. The desserts were also outstanding especially the yule log, chocolate mousse, nut tart and bread pudding. I will definitely return.
There was so much variety on the buffet it was hard to choose! We were fortunate to sit in the terrace room which was bright, inviting and perhaps quieter and more spacious than the main room. The staff were very pleasant and organized.
We came to the Old Mill on New Years Day for dinner. We were previously there a few years ago. This time we were extremely disappointed with the food. Roast beef was extremely red with blood running out of it. Made me sick. Needed to be cooked a lot more! Lamb was exptremely spicy. Was not worth the money I spent. Very disappointed and will not be returning.
Great service from pre-dining (phone conversation) to dining... all 5-star services. Foods are normal but the dining room and the service are good.
Didn’t disappoint...as always food is delicious and the restaurant is so beautiful. Highly recommend for brunch.
No Prime Rib Roast beef on offer. Very disappointing considering price paid for the buffet. Buffet much better in past years.
It's such a beautiful place to have dinner with friends. The building itself is a treasure.
The food is always delicious and presented nicely.
As always, the Old Mill never disappoints; incredible food, unmatchable ambience and royal service! It’s a special place for my family as my wife and I had our wedding reception here, however, it’s like our first time there every time we go.
Very bad experience at the old mills Christmas buffet. It was the worst experience I have never had. It was like a community centre free dinner
The items on the buffet could have been faster replenished.
Christmas dinner buffet was very good - wide selection, frequently replenished which kept everything nice and fresh.
Good service to remnove dishes and replenish drinks.
Very well done
Very busy on Christmas Day, but we found a quiet seating location, yet still clearly heard the carolers.
This was our first experience at the Old Mill on Christmas day. We had heard about the great food and ambience and I guess we set our expectations quite high. We had a 6 o’clock reservation. When we got there we were told to go down four flights of stairs to a sub basement. There was no elevator. My husband has trouble walking and we were told that they could take us down thru the kitchen. I was very amazed that they couldn’t accommodate a disabled person other than going through the kitchen. That was not something that I nor my husband desired to do.
Getting into the banquet hall was like entering a food court at the Eaton Center. The noise level was unbelievable. Carollers were virtually unheard. When we were finally able to get to the food, the choices were very minimal. They just couldn’t seem to keep up with refilling the trays. The salads were few and far between. The main dishes were unappetizing and the desserts were well picked over. All in all it was a disappointment. For a place that seemingly has a very good reputation I felt that the Christmas buffet was just a hogfest. With the food not being replaced on a consistent basis it felt like we were all grabbing at anything that came out. It took over 25 minutes to get our bill due to them not being able to find a slip of paper. The serving staff were all lovely ladies who were very apologetic when we asked for water, a salt shaker, coffee and the bill.
When we left the 7 o’clock seating was getting ready to go in however the lineup was unbelievable. It was already 7:20 and we could barely exit with the crowd of people on the stairs and the small waiting area. All I could think of was “hope there isn’t an emergency as we would get out”.
