Need to book at 7:00 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
We were originally seated under the north area, cool white lights. They are very harsh, so we requested to be moved. There was no issue with that, just wondering why you have the harsh lighting in such a warm space.
We were there after 2pm, so the noise level was considerably less than during the "rush" hour. It's a very busy spot and deservedly so. I will be back again for sure. Food was delicious.
There was a great variety of delicious menu items..something for everyone in our group of friends! Our server was so friendly, humorous and accommodating!
The food and service was hit and miss. Great apps however we didn't get the app and cocktail menu until we ordered dessert so there were items we would have ordered had we known. Non-alcoholic drinks were very slow to be brought to the table. A nice menu but lacking in the execution. We did appreciate that for a busy place we were all able to hear our conversation without straining. The ambiance is somewhat less than due to how close the tables are to one another and that basically it's in a mall. We will probably not return but rather will visit other O&B's that we enjoy like Hotel Selby.
Had another lovely time with good food. Haven’t been here for 4 years so decided to come in with my sister to try something different.
This was my first time at the restaurant. The waitress was amazing. The food was very good.
Turkey burger was bland. Friends enjoyed lunch combos. Noise level made next to impossible to hear and enjoy company of three friends.
We chose O & B to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Below average experience for the price we paid. We sat on the left corner booth from the entrance. The sides of the booth were all torn. The cutlery wasn't the cleanest, the forks were twisted. They kept possibly dirty menus on top of the cutlery. The place wasn't even kept warm in sub-zero weather. I was wearing a dress and felt quite cold. This place is just at the entrance of the mall, hence even more cold. Now about the food, while they served fish and chips for my daughter pretty quickly which made us question if it was made fresh or was frozen, our food took pretty long. Looking at the positive side, our food was perhaps made freshly. They served an avocado which had gone brown, I mean come on, can't you even serve a fresh avocado. I asked for grilled calamari with broccoli. The portion size was hopelessly small for a meal. At every other place we have been to celebrate anything special previously, we have always been offered complementary stuff but these people didn't even care to wish us on our anniversary let alone offering any goodies. While booking online, we were asked to mention any special occasion and we even told it to one of the servers there. The servers were polite and friendly though. So basically, never going there again.
Overall good improvement on food n service quality , however noise level consider high n at times almost need to shout in order to hear what each other in the table is talking
Birthday celebration was well managed.
My husband and I had a wonderful time. The food, service and ambience was perfect! Will be coming back for sure.
It took almost an hour and a half to get our food - two orders of French toast and two orders of avocado toast. When the food finally came the eggs were ice cold and we had asked for humus on the side but it had been put on the toast
Waitress was very apologetic and the manager apologized and offered us coffees and dessert on the house
I would recommend it because the food is good. Service was not so good. Although we made a reservation, we waited a while to get seated and then waited another while to get served. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, close to the kitchen. Our server didn’t check in on us. Disappointed with the service, but not with the meal.
Service was slow. Waiter didn’t greet the table for a long time. When we ordered our beverages it took a long time to get them. I asked for hot water to warm up a baby bottle and the served took a very long time to bring it.
Server was great. Food was delicious.
Three out of 4 of us were very disappointed with the food. It was nothing special for the price. The salads really lacked creativity or special flavours that I would expected. I have eaten here in the past and the food was excellent. The value was not there. The waiter saved the day - he picked up that it was our friend's birthday and brought her a special dessert. His personality added to the service.
There was no place that was not noisy, music being the primary culprit. The food was good but portions too small for the price and for the role in the meal it was to achieve.
Good food, great service, nice and friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed it.
Portion size were small and sauce was bland on pasta
It was extremely loud and we felt we were rushed during the entire dinner.
We have dined in O&B on Bayview with friends for decades, we even had private parties. Starting one or two years ago the place floundered and you could see it in the poor attendance. Late last year they brought a fabulous motivational manager and the place recovered its old glory. However, we went this last Saturday and the place was freezing, the heating broke down. The woman who identified herself as the manager, not the manager we knew, was sharp in her answers as to why the place was cold, no apology. We noticed there were several new wait staff. The food took ages to come. The food was still good but everything else was wrong. We will not return for now.
The food was good but the service was indifferent. Maybe just poor stuff allocation but not acceptable at the price point. Food was slow and did not arrive together.
Worst experience ever. The oakville location had large portions and clean washrooms. The coffee taste old and burnt. The washroom was filthy and it smelt like mold in their basement. Worst location and experience ever.
A very pleasant first time visit, although a bit noisy... will return.
Food taste and quality is going down! Used to be so good. Ordered soup and sandwich lunch, their famous mushroom soup was way too salty, the sandwich lacking anything special. Not so different from ordering at a cafeteria.
Used to really enjoy O&B!
Bacon and potatoes were overdone. Staff not overly attentive. Used to be much better years ago. Fire alarm kept going off for the duration of our meal and nobody apologized or offered anything (could have taken coffees off of the bill or something). Was there to celebrate birthday so it was pretty annoying and had two little children, very loud for them.
It was my besties Birthday, I advised this prior to the date. Our server was Steve Hark, he was great he told us about some of the dishes and seemed very knowledgeable. As it was o
He girls he gave us our space but always came around to make sure everything was good. The food was great and the pricing was decent. Would def visit this location again.
Food was excellent. Waiter was a bit scatter brained, forgot part of the order. When requesting more hot water for tea, the pots from our table and the table beside us were switched. The table beside us got a pot that contained my pre-used tea bag.
Over priced considering the food quality and quantity
Food quality was so low too
The restaurant looked tired. Menu bland. Furnishings worn. Not an enjoyable experience.
Food quality has declined significantly over the years. Thought we would give it another chance today. Didn’t think you could really go wrong with Eggs Benedict; I was terribly wrong. There was an extra charge for salmon and it was so fishy and obviously unfresh upon first bite. The home fries were dry and deplorable. I had to send it back. So I ordered French toast instead and it was equally as bad— didn’t have more than half a slice. The toast was too thick and not fluffy. Ordered a cappuccino and could not even get the milk substituted, which is pretty standard these days. When they brought the mains out, we weren’t even finished with the starters and they stuffed the dishes onto the table. Corned beef hash was disappointing too and was left more than half unfinished. The only redeeming part of this brunch was the hot soup made in house. We weren’t even offered bread. I will never dine at O&B again nor their sister restaurants. There are so many competitively priced brunch spots in the city that are superior. Very disappointed with this experience.
We made a reservation for 12:30 pm to host out of town guests. Even though there were many empty tables in the restaurant we were seated right at the entrance to the open kitchen. We sat facing the kitchen so our guests would have a better "view". We did not say anything at the restaurant because we had company but we would have if we were alone. Food is ok. Variety is good.
Too loud. But great food and service.
Best waiter ever! Don’t know his name but he is hilarious and a lot of fun. Had him last time too.
Hi there, I really enjoy lunching at your restaurant at Bayview. The atmosphere is perfect for an intimate lunch and/or a business meet-up which is my usual reason for visiting. The food is very delicious. I am a creature of habit except for when I dine at your location. I really enjoy the variety of cuisine offered. I have yet to dine in the evening. Hmmmm.... Your wine selection looks yummy! Thanks again, Sue M.
Branch menu quality very poor
Prices is high
Our server was amazing! I think her name was Lisa but she made our time even more pleasant.
The food was superb. Overall a good time was had by all.
I had the liver and onions and it was amazing! Definite comfort food!
