We waited over an hour for four meals (2 of them kids meals). During the wait we were never asked if we wanted more drinks, nor did anyone ever apologize for the wait. Our waiter was almost non-existent. Very disappointing level of service, thankfully the food was decent but I’d be reluctant to have dinner here again.
Before covid restrictions were lifted, we made two resos to equal a party of 9 for our family ( one for 4 and another for 5) as we were celebrating two birthdays. When we got to the resto, our tables were on opposite sides of the resto and were told they were not informed of such notes; to be placed as close as possible to each other. After a few minutes of checking their system for notes, the hostess found these notes and said she would try and make things work. Mind you, this is a 5pm reservation and the resto was empty minus one other group. She placed us in the same vicinity yet our tables were at least 4 meters apart with a huge pillar blocking our view. You might as well have just placed us on opposite sides of the restaurant.
My husband asked our server if parties of 9 could be seated together because we saw one party of 8 in the restaurant and she was extremely rude and told us that we had to make such large reservations much in advance. After several minutes of going back and forth, the hostess came back and informed us that such restrictions were lifted just a week ago and her and another male manager offered to seat us together at the other side of the restaurant. It shouldn’t take this long to get a party seated together and in the fashion that we were treated. The waitress was not only rude but her tone when speaking to us versus another table of white guests, was unacceptable. Now the reason why I go into the race issue is because, my husbands father asked her if we could get a few more napkins. He doesn’t know that you should ask your server for all needs and she said she did not understand what he was saying because he had an accent. She spoke down to him and was incredibly rude. My experience at this restaurant overall was subsided by the fact that the male manager was extremely accommodating and our server in the end ( who was the hostess) really tried to make an effort to make sure we had a good time. I will never be returning.
Nice relaxing meal with friends. Quiet during the pandemic but easy to carry on a conversation.
Can't say enough about the staff, service and food at O&B Blue Mountain. Top notch as always!!!
The food was fantastic- especially the pot stickers and spring roll appetizers. The service, for the dollar value of our bill, was only ok (no one took the menus away and we had to lay them on the wall beside our table, Many different servers throughout the meal, entire table dishes being scooped up and juggled when clearing, plates cleared before everyone at the table completed their meal, had to replenish our own wine throughout the meal). A candle on the table would have been a nice addition for added ambiance. Overall, our meal was lovely and the servers were very nice.
Reserved patio 1+ months in advance.
Only felt comfortable with patio bc of pandemic.
When I arrived with my part of 8, I was told patio was first come first served despite reservations. Basically the reservation was useless. There was no apology or sympathy from the staff person, nothing.
Bc we were hungry and bc my party included two children and a pregnant woman, we agreed to indoor dining.
Service was awfully slow. It took over 45 mins even for an app to arrive.
Food was tasty but my by then i was over the entire experience. The server tried his best to make it up and offered free dessert. But I would not recommend this restaurant.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was great. If was a beautiful day to enjoy lunch out on your patio away from the business of the village.
It was the best meal that I have had for a while. The food was so tasty and the value was great compared to other restaurants in Blue Mountain. Very friendly staff. Must visit when you go to Blue Mountain.
We ate here for two meals while at Blue Mountain Village - lunch and dinner. Both times, the hostess was AMAZING. We had to change our reservation, no problem, and she even remembered us when we came back for the revised time. She remembered us the next day for dinner. And they take reservations, something incredibly helpful with kids. She and our servers took great care with our kids and were very kind. Service was quick, food was great. We have picky eaters who ate half the kids’ pizza which is HUGE. Huge was a personal comment because my kids aren’t good eaters but still loved that pizza AND a PSA that the kids’ size is a full size pizza. Social distancing, masks worn at all times and directional signage - all in effect. By FAR the best eating experience at Blue, not just because of the food but because of the guest experience they gave us. While other places in the village seem to have an old mentality of being the ones in demand vs the customers (the only thing that they’ve changed because of COVID-19 are physical things, not experience things), O&B went above and beyond. Thank you so much!
Our server 'Marky' Mark was pleasant and friendly.
All the food was delicious! - my steak exceeded expectations.
The atmosphere was gorgeous and memorable.
Support staff was helpful, responsive, and a well-run team.
We were greeted and taken to our requested outdoor table on time. It was a lovely setting. Service was friendly and helpful. The menu was limited...not a lot of choice. We ordered salad to start but were disappointed the main arrived while we were still eating salad. We had to ask for freshly ground pepper and parmesan. We were out within the allotted 90 minutes...they were expecting full capacity.
It was great just wish the menu had more selection.
Everything was great. My mother, son and I had a great time with great food. The ambiance, view and people were beautiful. We will definitely be back.
We went for our anniversary and the location is beautiful. Food was incredible and we were not expecting the larger portions but it was welcomed. The drinks were perfect as well. All around fantastic place. We will definitely be back.
Our meal was excellent and George (our server) made it special. He was attentive but not overbearing, helpful in answering questions about the wine and the menu. Thank you George.
Our server was the only one our whole trip who did a little something to acknowledge our honeymoon celebration. It was a very nice touch. He purchased our dessert for us.
My daughter and I had a wonderful evening at Oliver and Bonacini Cafe Grill on Monday evening.
The food was delicious and the service was great. I really cannot find fault with anything.
A thoroughly enjoyable evening spent dining with friends.
Good wine list nice menu really well done given current Covid situation
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a dinner. The ambience and food was good. The occasion was marred by a unfortunate situation when the staff collecting the dishes dropped a large quantity of sauce on the new pants of my daughter. We decided to let the manager know and he profusely apologized several times. He ended up giving us several items free of cost. Given the new pants, we took the offer as a compensation. Other than the clumsy staff, the overall experience was good and we recommend the place.
Food was amazing, so tasty and good portion sizes. Patio was very nice, great view of village. Our waiter was so great and nice, very attentive...and even had special non alcoholic surprise drinks made for my kids, which they loved. A bit pricier than we usually do, but it was a treat and worth it. We will definitely be back our next visit to Blue Mountain.
Food was amazing! We would definitely be going back when we return to Blue Mountain!
We had dinner here twice while staying at the westin hotel and both nights were perfect 👌🏼. Even with masks and social distancing we had two great evenings.
It was ok.. on the patio during the COVID stage 2. seemed a little confused and very distracting but I understand the circumstances. Nice view from patio.
We were hit by sudden thunder/rain storm and staff quickly and without stress moved us in the attached Westin.
Food was made for take out and staff was apologetic even though they could not have been prepared nor deliver better service. Hats off!
Our experience at O & B was excellent. The food was very good and eating on the outdoor patio with a view of the Blue Mountain village was relaxing. However during the later part of our meal a thunder storm suddenly erupted causing us to dash for the indoors and abandon our meal to the elements. As we were well through our food the management gave us a substantial discount which was appreciated.
Our waiter was excellent. Very friendly and attentive but not overbearing.
We will definitely eat here again!
Food and service was fantastic. Great safety measures in place. A lovely evening.
I visited this restaurant on the night of my birthday. Our reservation was pretty late and it looked like the restaurant was closing up. Thankfully, we were greeted very warmly and accommodated. We planned on sitting on the patio but ended up taking our food to go and eating in the room. The food was delicious, and pretty big portion sizes; beyond my expectations for sure. I also received a free drink for my birthday which was very kind! Amazing service and food, I’d love to visit again :)
Great job doing social distancing and amazing food though it was a limited menu from what they normally have.
Tables are spaced out and totally felt at ease.
Took a long time to get food but my guess is that kitchen was working on many less staff.
Still give them 5 stars!
We dined on the patio for brunch, with the COVID-19 restrictions. We felt completely safe eating there, with the safety measures in place. The food and service was very good and we enjoyed the view from our table.
Our servers name was George. He was absolutely phenomenal and made our experience great. The food is overpriced but that’s to be expected in blue mountain!
Eggs Benedict was awesome! Service was very friendly, ambiance was great on the patio, social distancing and hand sanitizer everywhere we felt safe and really enjoyed our breakfast on the patio!
Good service. Friendly staff. Noisy people ln the pool.
The service, ambience and food were terrific.
Our first time dining out in months was a great experience.
We enjoyed our lunch on your patio in Blue Mountain and will plan to return throughout the summer.
Lovely atmosphere outside by the Mill Pond.
The server was friendly and attentive.
The cleanliness was impeccable.
Quality is what you would expect for an O and B establishment.
Food was delicious.
Coffee was a great start.
The only problem was no Splenda for my coffee (only stevia was offered)
Service by George was phenomenal. Very personable and took exceptional care of us.
We had a wonderful meal: grilled half chicken and double rack of ribs; portions way beyond necessary but great for taking extra home. The desserts were spectacular: white chocolate cheese cake and carrot cake. Excellent atmosphere with a terrific sound track; eating on the patio was a perfect evening; all necessary PPE protocols were in place making us feel quite comfortable. Thank you again for an excellent overall experience.
Service was great. Menu was limited and food was average.
This location and offering is one of the best dinner spots in the village if you are looking for quality food and a great setting
The patio was well set up for social distancing and the service staff were very respectful of the situation. Attentive but not over bearing. The food was very good and it was great to be outside in a social setting and was very nice with the exception of the occasional sea gull.
I am going back again this week as the menu is more suitable for a relaxing dinner and not pub food.
