We waited over an hour for mediocre salads. 2 other tables were served their food before us. Then to “make up for it” they gave us fried chicken tacos..... why would you give a carb based appetizer to 3 women eating salads? It was mostly chopped romain, hardly any chicken, for $30.
Birthday celebration. We can always count on ONE to deliver a great meal in a great environment
My Fiance and myself loved One Restaurant, the food and service came in way above my expectations.
An amazing dining experience!!
I will definitely dine there again.
My diner dates 5oz beef was cooked to perfection and my cod melted in my mouth.
Beautiful space , delicious food ,great service!
I would. I would also like to acknowledge Andre and the team of servers that took care of us. Very professional and courteous. Thanks again! Top notch!
Great spot. Can always count on good food and great service
Lovely place for a lunch with a friend or work colleague. The food was delicious and our service was great.
The chef even gave us a little taster of a couple of dishes which make me want to go back and try more.
I was expecting for my Anniversary in Yorkville to experience a far more upscale feeling. We were disappointed, we have been to Dozens of upscale restaurants around the city and outside the GTA
The food was average at best and way overpriced for what we had.$340 for 2 people , one $84 bottle of wine , we each had an appetizer and an entry and we shared a Dessert. It also looked Dated
The restaurant the hotel and everything in between! Quickly becoming one of our favourite places. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Extraordinary service and attention to detail. Make sure to try to lobster spoons for appetizers!
Never disappoints. The food is terrific and the service is great.
Always exceptional. Never disappointed.
Can’t find flaws. Had a Chopped Cobb Salad. No complaints. My client opted for the hamburger. Also a wonderful experience
Excellent all around. Would highly recommend!
This was our first time at your restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was deliscious, service was great. We also enjoyed our breakfast
Great food, had the burger and truffle fries. The service was not good at all we tipped the waiter, and he was miserable.
I visit more than 200 high end resturants a year , the One was for sure the worst for the value and quality of food and drinks.
Their cod was at least few days old and had a strong sea taste . Drinks were even worst. I had 3 drinks at $20 dollars each, did not get even get a buzz. I told the bartender after first one as waiting for our table hr added some more gin that brought it up to almost normal taste. At our table it took the waitress over 15 mins before she recognized us.Took 15 mins-20 for our drinks . 25 mins for our appetizer : egg plants and oyster!!
Another 20 mins for our horrible main dish. The place for sure does not even qualify for 3 star. Service was even worst than food. Waitress not even once asked how our food was.
Great food. Tasty appetizers, mains and desert. Service was not up to par for a fine dining establishment.
Truly underwhelming, service was very spotty. It is truly just a hotel restaurant- a very overpriced one at a that.
Great archive and attention to detail. Loved the menu and especially the crab truffle frites. Can’t wait to go back soon
It was very noisy as they were having a baby birthday party so it really ruined the atmosphere. The French toast was overly sweet so much that I couldn’t finish it. The only pleasant part was the kind wait staff. But I won’t be going back.
Great location, great cocktail and good service.
Food was ok at best - they tend to over complicate dishes and the price is not worthy of the end result.
We were there for Winterlicious and the welcoming reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The ambience and decor were tasteful. We arrived a little before noon and the noise level was good. However, once the restaurant filled up it was very noisy. The service was outstanding throughout the meal. The starters (Celery Root Soup) was tasty and ( P.E.I. Beef Carpaccio) was excellent but the mains (Chicken Schnitzel ) were mediocre at best. Thighs with sinew were used instead of chicken breast and they were deep fried rather than being pan fried. The dessert (Valrhona Chocolate Cake) was fantastic.
The wine list made us laugh out loud. For a half bottle of Red Wine, the prices started at $165 and further down in the middle there was one for $28 which we ordered.
We would recommend " ONE " to those of our friends that could afford it.
Probably will wait for Summerlicious to try it again.
Great experience. Not perfect, but overall it was lovely. Went for Winterlicious, not sure I’d go for dinner otherwise. Still love brunch on the patio in the summer though.
Really fantastic winterlicious menu. Great service also
We had an amazing Winterlicious lunch at this classy establishment! Loved it!
The food was good. If you are looking for winter licious over the weekend. You are outta luck. They only do winter licious on week days.
One of the wait staff cleared my wife's table setting when she went to the washroom. This is clearly due to lack of attention to detail to notice my wife was with me. They quickly rectified that oversight when they were made aware of the fact.
In general, food is good. Ambiance a little dated but nice. Quiet and enjoyable meal with my wife. Recommended.
Lovely food and excellent service in a nice environment - even the hipsters in the bar looked fun
Excellent service and food.
We both ordered from the winterlicious menu and our meals were a gastronomic delight. Service was exceptional.
We attended ONE for Winterlicious. Early sitting at 5:30 since we had theatre tickets. I was worried it would be quiet at that time, but it was already busy. Food was sublime right through. Divine starters (carpaccio/green pea falafel with crab), excellent mains, especially the harissa trout and the desserts was the perfect ending. Portions were perfect, not sparse, but I made it to dessert. The wine suggestions were spot on. Excellent attentive service, without being harassing. We’ll be back!
Oh try the cocktails. Hotel Nacional was yummmmm
Amazing as usual. We got our usual server and she is absolutely amazing. Always love date night at ONE
Sever was rude and impatient when my friends was asking about vegan options.
Food is mediocre but overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
One restaurant never disappoints. Whether hosting a business dinner, family dinner or date night this place is my go to. The food is exceptional. Every item on the menu is delicious. They are so amazing here even accommodating my celiacs disease and gluten free diet. The lobster spoons and spicy salmon tartare are a must. Treat yourself to the 20 oz t-bone to share w truffle frites, brussel sprouts and potato mash as sides. Literally mouth watering. You can’t go wrong w anything on this menu. It’s absolutely an 11/10!
I’ll be back soon!
I’m a long time patron, and still love the ambience., but the food is not worthy of the prices, and the restaurant is nickel and dimeing the customers. Eg $6 for a slice of bread to go with a $36 salad entree, or $6 for a slice of tomato.
Very unpleasant when a modest lunch for two, one entree each—no alcohol, no dessert—is in excess of $100 before gratuity.
The food here is impeccable as well as the service . Steaks were perfectly cooked. Lobster spoons are my all time favorite! We were celebrating my husbands birthday , and they prepared a special dessert complete with candle . What a sweet unsolicited gesture. Next time I'm in Toronto, it will be on my places to stop at list!
So I wondered when the bread was coming as the food was taking a while, after all when I sat down we all had bread and butter plates with butter knives. Nope, no bread. If you wanted bread we found out into our meal you could order it and pay for it. Hun. When Lobster Spoons went from $26 (with free bread) to $39 with no bread, I kind of have an issue. That is just under a 50% increase in Lobster spoons minus the bread. They have had huge price increases on their menu and there were loads of empty tables. They did honour my husbands birthday with a platter that said happy birthday Jim, had a candle and a cookie about 4 cm wide. Just a thought, how about going around with a bread basket and offering a roll to each patron?
Great spot for Sunday brunch, nice buzz, friendly, competent service and really good food. The pancakes dripping with warm blueberry sauce & finished with cheesecake crumble are divine.
