Great special occasion destination. Happy we snuck in there right before third wave lockdown took effect. Will be back!
Best restaurant in Vancouver. Great food, better service, and an excellent selection of wine. The interior design is outstanding. They are as close to real Italian as you would like, all handmade pasta, and fantastic Negronis. And the bill doesn’t break the bank. Can’t wait to go back.
Second time at Savio Volpe and both were very memorable experiences. Family friendly but still classy and polished. We leave feeling extremely satisfied both with the service and the exceptional cuisine. The family style tasting menu is the best way to sample as many flavors as possible. Well worth it!
A delicious meal of authentic Italian fare in a modern yet rustic old-world ambiance. Service was attentive and friendly, the food was wonderful - worth waiting for a reservation!
Service was excellent
Most of the food was awesome
Small portions and very expensive
Was distressed to be in a large open space with so by many people.
Disappointed Pandemic Protocols were so few .
Yes masks were worn by each server.
Plexiglass dividers in place .
Just way too many people at one sitting .
Delicious pasta every time 😍
Great food and excellent service. Will go back again, soon
Great food and service it gets noisy layer at night but early dinners are fine
We visited for my birthday and the entire experience was amazing, from start to finish. Awesome food and service. Thanks for such a great evening!
The whole experience was amazing! We absolutely loved our server who made the experience personal, special, and fun! Takes quite a bit to impress me with being in the service industry myself for 20 years but she was so incredible and memorable. I am so glad we shared our wedding anniversary here, it was just a magical evening all around. The food was also mind blowing and so delicious. I can't wait until we get back there.
Excellent as always.
solid experience all around; absolutely will come again
It was great as usual....they never disappoint
We had the best time, the best meal, and the best service. We were celebrating my husband's 30th birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. We'll definitely be going back ASAP.
Great as usual!! My family really enjoyed the food and everything, such a wonderful experience:)
Easily one of the best restaurants I've been too. Servers name was Robert, he was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.
Our experience was always great as usual, food was better than I remembered (been a year since we’ve been in due to COVID... we usually come every couple of months). Never disappointed when we come to Savio.
Wonderful experience- decided to let our server choose dinner for us as we wanted everything on the menu and we were thoroughly impressed.
At only 65$ we were blown away by the 5 menu selections received.
All food was perfectly executed. Server was great, a dirty dish is not on your table for more than a blink. All staff works together to ensure standards are maintained.
Can’t wait to return.
Such a great experience from the service to the food! Exceptional! And they catered to our vegetarian diet really well.
Perfection! We had the family style where they chose for us. It solidified that it’s our favourite restaurant in Vancouver.
We had the tasting menu dinner and honestly everything was outstanding. All four of us highly recommend eating here. The serving staff is very pleasant and they explain all the dishes thoroughly. Considering we are in the middle of a Pandemic the atmosphere was very inviting. We would all definitely eat here again.
The Lindsay bread twists were hard, I thought by adding the Marinara sauce it would add flavour, but the sauce was cool, not sure if that was how it was suppose to be served. The beet salad was outstanding, for value as we’ll. The lamb shank was great, flavours were delightful. My pasta Cavatelli verde was very bland , no flavour, light in filling though. We have been to the restaurant two previous time and it was great, this time not so much. However, the server was lovely, and very attentive.Drinks were good, found wine choices good. The added Birthday dessert was a nice surprise, thank you.
Spent my 50th birthday at Savio Volpe, food was incredible and service was amazing.
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Fantastic food and service. We always order the alla famiglia menu and it never disappoints. Highly recommend.
Came here for my birthday. It was an absolutely delicious meal and even better time. Staff did an amazing job of explaining the menu and making sure we were happy. 100/100 recommend stopping by if you haven't!
My wife and I went for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it was a special evening. Staff and service were great! The food was outstanding! The chef, her and her team do such a phenomenal job and ensure everything goes out perfect! It is family Style and food portions were large. The noise level was just right , I like it a little loud with lots of activity! this was a great night out and would recommend to my friends!
Amazing pasta, and they accommodate dietary needs very well!
My pork, as always, was excellent, as was our fresh cheese (Burrata) starter. I'm a long time Negroni fan so that too suited me very well. my guest was new to the restaurant and was bewildered by the menu, she is not Italian, but our Server was quite helpful, if delayed a little because she was busy! Our Potato side was good, but a little too charred for my friend's liking.
I am very happy coming to Osteria Savio Volpe. One evening, I am planning to come on my own, the better to savour my experience. Oh, and I want to try a new crostata
Service and ambiance was amazing. Great for a special occasion or if you just want to enjoy delicious food. Would highly recommend
I highly recommend this restaurant. This is my second time and I will definitely will go again and again.
We did the alla familia option and they brought out delicious dishes. We wish they brought out more of the oxtail rigatoni pasta! It was so delicious!
Great, friendly service, delicious food and a comfortable atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!
Not a friendly atmosphere, and I was very disappointed. Also, the food was very salty.
All round lovely evening , good service delicious food.
Rude service . Conversation was interrupted every ten minutes so server can ask us “ how is it”. Inappropriate and distasteful.
Nothing more to say.
This was my second visit and I was as impressed as the first time! My partner, who had never been here before, was equally as impressed.
We were very excited to try this restaurant and had read numerous reviews suggesting it's quality. We were disappointingly very misled.
We tried the familia style meal which was 5 courses. The first course was olives- yes olives was the course. After that there were two salads; one, a burrata which was fine- impossible to mess up, and the other was an endive, pear and blue cheese which was quite okay but nothing note worthy. The next course was a pasta- it was a rigatoni which was on the uncooked side of al dente topped with an oxtail ragu that still had shards of bones in it. Next up was the carne- they served us a flat iron steak which couldn't be cut with their steak knife and then after we advised them of the issue, they replaced it with previously frozen lingcod- perhaps our own mistake as lingcod is not in season, but I don't relish in eating frozen fish at a "top" restaurant. Lastly came a very sad cannoli that had likely been made yesterday and sat in the cooler since- no crispy shell.
Aside from the food quality, the service was on point and we genuinely appreciated the attentiveness of all of the staff that we encountered.
Overall, can't comprehend how this restaurant has the reputation it has when there are so many better options in the city.
In six or seven visits, I have never had anything less than an outstanding meal at Savio Volpe. Friendly and efficient service, exceptional food, love the room. Only negative: It can be loud -- but for me, that's a small tradeoff when everything else is amazing.
A side note: On our most recent visit -- probably our first nice meal at a restaurant in a year due to the pandemic -- I was very impressed with their COVID-19 safety protocols.
Our server Rob was amazing! We opted to eat A La Familia, so after a brief chat, he curated our dinner/dessert including wine - he thoughtfully crafted a delightful and delicious dining experience. The chefs are brilliant, the range and combination of flavours and textures was exceptional. We will definitely be back.
