We’ve been here a few times are we’re never disappointed. Great ambience. Superior service and always amazing food. The last couple of times we’ve chosen the option where the chef selects the courses for you. (Four plus dessert). I really recommend it, no need to think too much, just tell your server if there’s anything you don’t like or really want to try!

Pasta made in-house is fresh and delicious; cannot go back to ordinary pasta anymore.
High quality food with layers of wonderful flavours.

It was my first time at Osteria last night on a Thursday night and it was really busy.
Even at 8:15pm the only available seating option was at the counter.

The food was excellent. The burrata dish is a must try.
Despite the food tasting very delicious, the pace was rather slow but Osteria's staff reassured us periodically to relief our eager hunger.

I would definitely be coming back even though the food came out a bit slow this time around but it's worth the wait!

Went with my boyfriend for his birthday and we both loved it! We got the tasting menu - $55/person for 5 (surprise) courses. You can let the server know of any preferences, but the rest is hand picked by their server. We ate some dishes we would have never ordered ourselves, but it was all SO delicious. Already planning our next trip back to Savio.

Homemade pasta dishes were delicious. Service could be improved as we felt being “rushed” especially with the wine pouring. Server kept trying to serve/ empty out the wine in the bottle though we understand that they’d want us to get more wine that way. Website indicated that each reservation is for 2 - 2.5 hours....it was definitely not the case with us!

Been here a handful of times and never been disappointed. Food is great, atmosphere is cozy and service is attentive and friendly. The only thing that could be improved is their dessert list imo. Haven't tried the tiramisu yet but the cannoli and chocolate tart were meh.

First visit to Savio Volpe and it didn't disappoint. The decor and energy are open and lively, which also meant that it did get a little noisy from time to time. Not a place to go for quiet conversation, but a great place to go on a date or for dinner with a friend(s). The service was good but a little slow - the wait between our salad and our entrée was too long (>15 mins). Beautiful setting, good menu. Not very vegan-friendly. Has a few vegetarian dishes of note. Food was very tasty and moderately portioned. The cauliflower salad was great, as was their daily special of butternut squash ravioli with brown butter and sage. An enjoyable experience and I would dine here again!

Came for anniversary. We were given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on being seated, with he restaurant’s congratulations. We did the tasting menu and had it paired with an exceptional Italian red wine. We were all happily satisfied but not overstuffed and the food was exceptional. While it moves a bit in the rankings year to year, this is, overall, the best Italian in Metro Vancouver.

A great place for friends to gather for wonderful food and wine. It is very noisy, so not a place to go for conversation. We had to really talk loudly to hear each other. Good service with a lovely birthday dessert and card. We enjoyed it!

A little too rushed. Plates come as soon as you're done and even before you're finished with your aperitif. Also, tables too close together. I understand you need to maximize space but a level of privacy is also necessary.

The Food was amazing, service was great - lots of useful advice fun. The restaurant was packed noise level was a bit too much and the table was small for 5 people which was a bit disappointing given we had made a reservation well in advance. Otherwise I totally recommend it and will be back.

Given I had waited 6 weeks to get in, the experience was a little underwhelming. Food preparation was delicious and well executed. I can’t say it was creative. Family dining style but small portions. It was suggests we order 9-10 dishes which we did. It gave our table of 5 a sampling of each item. We should have ordered our own first, second and third courses. I would recommend to others just so they can experience what the hype is all about. Vancouver has SO many excellent less known restaurants that I would equally recommend to experience the food and not just the hype.

Delicious again. The only thing was one of the courses was steak tartare ( raw red meat with a raw egg on top) just think they should have advised first as I would think the majority of people in Vancouver wouldn’t like that but wouldn’t think to tell them in advance??

I was not impressed, especially coming in from a hyped-up mood from friends. The place was very loud and tables were very close to each other, not great for intimate dates. We ordered 3 dishes: Prosciutto di Parma, Triangoli with greens & ricotta, and the dry-aged top sirloin.

The Prosciutto di Parma had green apples with it and it took me a while to appreciate the flavours, my guess is that the sweetness of the apple is supposed to balance and neutralize the saltiness of the ham and the cheese. It was a weird combination of textures that didn't go well for me, I suggest to make the apple into a puree, maybe a saucy texture can complement everything.

The Triangoli with greens & ricotta was a bit too oily and salty for me. It was hard to appreciate the taste of it especially when everything was drenched in oil. Lastly, the dry-age top sirloin was supposed to be medium rare but it was quite firm and tough. The taste was okay but nothing spectacular.

Overall, I was expecting to have at least 1 dish with a wow factor but I left the restaurant feeling disappointed and confused.

The service was fantastic and the food was even better. The amount of food is no problem if you get the dinner for two set up, but it can be pricy especially if you get a few drinks.
Overall, this is an excellent place to go for a nice evening together with a spouse or close friend.

Recently went for dinner with friends. Very popular so book well in advance to avoid disappointment. I requested a booth at the front of the restaurant with a view to the street and we were really happy we did. It was very comfortable and a little bit more private than other seating can be.
As this was our first time here we decided to go with the “familia” option and we’re so glad we did. This option is 55.00 per person and well worth every penny. It gives you such a great cross section of the menu including appies, salads, pastas and proteins finishing off with desserts. The flavours were all fabulous, nothing over the top. You simply inform your server of any dietary concerns or preferences you may have then sit back and enjoy! And did we ever. It was all so well paced as well, we never felt rushed despite the ever increasing lineup of hopefuls at the door. A special thanks to Jena our server. You completed the winning combination of great friends, food and service.
