Amazing service and selection of food. Went to celebrate my friend's birthday and he got a really nice signed card and birthday dessert. Food was great but a little salt forward. The tiramisu sundae was absolutely to die for. Will be coming back.

It was just sooo loud. Acoustics needs to be worker on. Plus we were so squeeze together that it was impossible for the person on the inside to leave the table with out disturbing the next table. Go later as it got less noisy after 9:30.

Real cool and trendy, service was lovely. Not sure we will be back

We are regulars. Adore the place. We make random reservations throughout the year, and schedule birthdays here.

Our only dissatisfaction was that the tables are too close and too small for couples. Difficult at best to enjoy each other company with your neighbour right on top of you

Our table of 6 took the Let Us Choose option which was great and so simple. Each course was delicious and unique. The prosciutto had a creamy caper mayo with fresh rye chunks. The bright lemon on the kale salad to refresh your palate. Then 2 pastas - lamb tomato rigatoni and squash ravioli in brown butter sauce. Have both if you can they're outrageously tasty. Then we enjoyed a comfortable time before the roast chicken arrived. Perfectly roasted to that crispy outside but tender and juicy within. We had a house red wine which seemed to work with everything. This was our second visit to Osteria and we came back for the entire dining experience which starts with friendly attentive service from the second you walk in the door, but mostly we came for the food. And it was amazing again.

Amazing staff (thank you Emma!!) and amazing food! Will definitely be going back! And highly recommend the "family style". Normally I shy away from this style dining cause I always feel like someone is going to be afraid of taking more if they want. But we actually walked out of the restaurant with a doggie bag! First time ever! And I love that is walking distance to from my house...bonus! Thank you Savio Volpe!

We had an amazing 5 course meal to celebrate our anniversary. Each course was a surprise and was so delicious. Our server was funny and helpful. I really can’t say enough good things about this place except that you should go!!

Food was just average, nothing special. I liked that they had a birthday card for the person celebrating a birthday at the table. But the flavours of the cooking weren't all that spectacular.

One pasta dish was average (can't recall name but oil base and goat cheese topping) but everything else was superb! Can't wait to return!

This is a spectacular restaurant in every sense. The food is incredible - one of the people at the table said it was the best meal he's had in 50 years, the service is wonderful and the atmosphere is beautiful.

I highly recommend this restaurant.

Thanks to everyone there for another incredible experience!

Have eaten here many times. The food is always fantastic. The ambience is electric. Unfortunately our 7:45 reservation did not get seated until 8:10. Not the restaurants fault just some oblivious patrons who had settled their bills and proceeded to occupy the tables! The unfortunate thing for us was we were on the way to the airport, and intended to have one last outstanding meal before we left YVR. The staff were great and expedited our order, but it certainly is not the way you like to experience a Savio Volpe visit.
We will be back. Departing patrons be cognizant of your fellow diners waiting for your table.

Savio is always great. This time when we arrived, our table wasn't ready so we had to wait a bit. However, we were made very comfortable with complimentary goodies and prosecco while we waited which was awesome. We opted for the "let us cook for you" option which was great as usual and the negronis and spritzes were also great. The service is always so attentive and friendly but not over the top or in your face. Killin' it, Savio 🙌

The food was excellent but the service was meh at best. We had the familia dinner (5 courses) but it took almost 40 minutes for the first course, a plate of shaved prosciutto, to arrive. No explanation or apology. Hard to tell who our actual server was because so many different people came to the table. Total lack of enthusiasm, personality or interaction from the person whom we eventually figured out might be our dedicated server. Can think of lots of other spots with similar quality food and prices but much better service.

I was there a few days ago to celebrate my girlfriend's **th birthday and we were greeted with a card with a recipe and a handwritten note. It was a very nice touch. The service was some of the best that I've experienced in Vancouver. Everyone we encountered was exceedingly friendly without being overbearing. The food was all delicious. We started with the second best beat dish I've ever had followed by the tagliatelle, which, I learned that evening, was not bowtie shaped. Then we had the sirloin and potatoes. It was all excellent. What really got me, however, was the Meyer Lemon tart which was a special that evening. Maybe I have a soft spot for lemon flavoured deserts, but it was even better than the birthday pavlova that my girlfriend got. Yes. Yes I would recommend Osteria Savio Volpe to a friend.

Our server was attentive and competent. We decided to leave our menu choices up the chef which is a wonderful option. Some of our courses were lovely while others were really disappointing. The raw veg with the garlic bath was unusual and disappointing. The striploin was also bland while the chicken was delightful. One of the pasta dishes was delightful while the other was overpowered by garlic. In general, garlic was featured far too prominently and overpowered more subtle flavours. Wonderful wine list. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience.

Fabulous food, atmosphere and menu. Can't wait to go back. Not a fan of how close the tables for 2 are to each other. The bar counter was a good alternative.

Fantastic meal! We were at the restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday. The staff were so thoughtful - a birthday card on arrival and a pavlova with candle for dessert. The kale salad was unbelievable, perfectly flavoured. The pasta dishes we had were so incredibly flavourful! Service was attentive and very helpful and kind. A perfect meal and experience. Thank you!

Brought family from out of country here to celebrate a birthday. Our second time to Savio. We again had the la famiglia menu. Plenty of food for a table of 6 and plenty of variety. No repeat dishes except for the Kale Salad (which was delicious and a must try) from our previous visit. Fernado again was an excellent host, mind you all the servers help with clearing dirty dishes and delivering food. Will definitely be back!

Maybe this just isn’t the restaurant for me.
The staff were great and did everything they could to try to give us a good experience. The food was not great.
The olive oil with the sourdough bread was terrible – we thought it had gone bad. With plain butter the bread was amazing with excellent texture. Maybe this just isn’t the restaurant for me.

The broccoli was tough and stringy.
The cauliflower was tasty.
The pasta was my favourite part and could have used a little more sausage.
The Lemon tart had a lack lustre crust with a sauce we didn’t enjoy.
The Cannoli was left unfinished. Not good.
The server and self-described ’wine-lady’ were excellent.
