Osteria Savio Volpe Ratings and Reviews
Fantastic food, unpretentious dishes, freshly made, excellent value, great for may occasions.
Our experience was excellent. We were looking forward to some delicious food, and we got it. All the staff were friendly and attentive.
Only thing I would nitpick was that it was quite noisy in there especially if you have a quiet voice, so made it a bit difficult to chat, but we came to try out the dinner menu, and otherwise everything else was fantastic!
Incredible meal from the head chef and we were extremely satisfied! :)
What an awesome place! Can’t wait to go back. I would totally recommend this place to anyone.
The hostess was very quick to seat us at our table (the restaurant was quite full for a Wednesday night). Decor and atmosphere is pleasing to the eye and also not too loud inside, but the tables are positioned VERY close together (not a very large restaurant). Our server was detailed and gave us great recommendations/advice on what we may be missing in our order or if we we ordering too much/not enough. The carne cruda and bone marrow was amazing and were both served with a generous portion of delicious bread. All of the food was delicious.
Our fourth time eating at Savio Volpe and the food and the service were excellent!
Upon arrival we had at least a 15 minute wait before a server came to our table. Our server was friendly though the only server in the restaurant wearing blue jeans. It was a bit odd and didn't fit the overall vibe of the restaurant. Overall the food was good though not exceptional. The dessert was bland. It's a big bustling noisy place. Nice interior. Our impression was that the level of service and overall quality was comprised with so many covers.
Love this restaurant but how do you get a window seat??
Food was great ... service was really good .... no real complaints at all and I would definitely go back to eat there again
Amazing food. Recommended wine was great.
Looking forward to the next time.
One of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver. I've done the family style option twice and never regretted it. Absolutely amazing food. Our server Logan is amazing, he chatted and patiently helped us pick wine and drinks.
Overall experience and food was excellent. We had the familia menu where the chef decides for you and you share the food amongst your table. Great way to taste items you might not ordinarily order. I did find the familial menu a tad on the pricier side but still reasonable which is why I went with 4 stars instead of 5.
Great restaurant. I found the chicken a bit too salty though.
Great place in a neat location. Sitting st the bar is a great option to see the passion in the staff.
Not what we were expecting for in terms of the food
Good food and atmosphere. Everything is designed with sharing in mind so I'd recommend a group of 4 to really enjoy it!
Everything was great. The only down side was the lack of a change table for our little one.
We have had some wonderful nights at Savio, and we have had some disappointing ones. Unfortunately they are not consistent. Food is great but the rush factor with service is not. Our waitress was lovely but the pace of the meal was far too quick. We were in and out in under one hour, and not because of our desire for a quick dinner. In fact, we were looking for a relaxing evening. With the pace that they had set for the evening, we went elsewhere for the remainder of our night and for additional wine. It was clear they wanted to turn over tables quickly. Won't be coming back here for a date night again anytime soon.
Another great year and a beautiful 24th Birthday❣️❣️❣️
Tasting menu was really good!
Absolutely met our high expectations!
First time eating here , servers were great, food came out perfectly timed between dishes. We can't wait to come back. Great dinning experience over all.
We had an amazing time! The staff were so fantastic, and the food was superb.
Thanks for the great memory!
Food was exceptional & service was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Six of us went for dinner for a belated birthday celebration and we asked for the chef to choose our menu for all of us. We unanimously agreed this was, by far, the most delicious and memorable meal we could have imagined! The text exchanges amongst my group of friends following the meal included:
“Omg I can’t even breath right now. But so good.”
“Holy f*** that meal was ridiculous... A meal I will talk about. And take a few days to get over!!!”
“You are right, that meal was story worthy!”
“Totally. What a meal!”
It was truly incredible - I highly recommend Savio Volpe, particularly with a large group so you can have a good selection of courses and dishes. Every dish was delectable!
Amazing. Excellent service. We had the tasting menu and loved every bite
Great food and service every time! Brought two friends who came for the first time and they really enjoyed it. Tiramisu is excellent too!
Amy and Romano / rolando were excellent .prompt attention to our arrival and the hostess
made us feel very welcome
I had heard how amazing the Restaurant was and finally got there. Out of te four of us we rated it. 3 of us gave it a 7out of 10, 1 gave it a 5. Nice atmosphere, hard chairs though, wish we could’ve had a booth.
The food was good, but not amazing. My husband said he gets this on a Wednesday night at home! Perhaps it was our choices.
I might try it again some time, but honestly there are so many other great restaurants in Vancouver, maybe we are spoiled.
Food was quite salty, didn’t finish the dishes. Great ambience and friendly staff.
Went in for a late dinner and had the tasting menu for 2. Food was excellent. I love the decor and atmosphere, would come back again with a bigger group.
Excellent and attentive service with a non-intrusive style. Really delicious wonderful food. Highly recommend this place!
I can't say enough about the great service from the host to our server. I thought I had changed the time of my reservation but I also had changed the date. I wasn't expecting to be accommodated knowing how popular they are but they did it!
It was an amazing meal and our friends from San Francisco raved about the food, service and value. Looking forward to going back!
Delicious meal and wine with really great service. Highly recommend!
Staff is very attentive, professional, friendly and polite.
Food is delicious. Wine and cocktails are so good.
Ambience is better than good.
Our bill was the most I've ever spent at a restaurant but my family and I enjoyed the dinner so much, we look forward to our next visit. Probably in February.
(Wished they offered groupons, then my visits would be more frequent)
Great food, the family-style dining was a lot of fun as always. The burrata on vegetables was particularly outstanding. The space is quite loud though, so naturally groups are trying to talk over each other. Can be difficult to have a conversation.
Been there few times love the food and service. The menu is different each time we enjoy it !!!
With my daughter having stepped straight off a plane, our family dinner just before Christmas at Savio Volpe could have been a rather forced experience for us all. It was the opposite! Our waiters were attentive and made great suggestions, the food was excellent and we had a lovely evening!
Their special that night was pork loin roast but it was too bland and not flavorful enough. Garlic bread was nicely done and their pasta is delicious.
The food was on point. After we ate, I mentioned to my friends that I felt like the man pictured in the Onion article 'Report: Red Meat Linked To Contentedly Patting Belly'.
Outstanding. Best meal. Reasonably priced. Exceptional service.
