   The service, food and wine were great and the four of us had a wonderful evening. It’s a very busy place and fairly noisy, so it’s not a place to go for a quiet, intimate dinner. However, if you love great Italian food and wine you must go!

   Food is awesome, interior design s great, nice atmosphere, service is spectacular. One thing to be picked about is that the table is very small and all the tables are places very closed, you can clearly hear what your neighbors are chatting, doesn't really have any privacy. servers are great and promptly clearing out dishes and replace utensils.Enjoyed the overall experience.

   The place has a great reputation and comes highly recommended by many. Food was solid, but less unique than I was hoping for. Server was pleasant but we interacted with our bus staff more as they dropped & explained the food — they knew the main components of each dish, but were not educated on the specifics (ie. what herbs, what the base of the sauce was, etc). Surprisingly casual — kids at several tables, lots of bday parties, etc. I'd go back, but would not wait 4 weeks for a reso again.

    Possibly the best restaurant and food I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Amazing service and food. Cannot recommend highly enough. Also made some very nice gestures for my girlfriends birthday including a birthday card/recipe and birthday cake ice cream.

    The food was fantastic. The service was exceptional. The ambience is beautuful. We made friends with the diners on both sides because when the food is that good everybody is in love with life and wants to share that love. An exceptional memorable meal and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it. A great place for a special occasion!

    We had reservations at 915pm - overall it was an okay experience. I’ve been to Savio before and had better experience. We probably got seated around 930 and ordered right pretty much right away. Our starters came out promptly but at about 1030 ish our pastas were still not out. We saw other tables who were seated after us and they had already gotten their food. Our server came up and apologized for the delay but this is after already a long wait that someone had acknowledged this. I do appreciate that someone came out with half a portion of another pasta dish to tie us over before our mains came out. Our pasta came, food at Savio is always delicious, we didn’t have any complaints about that. However they also missed the broccolini that we ordered, but at this point it was getting really late and we just wanted to leave. We asked for the bill, and the server brought out some apertivos that we didn’t order so we thought it was on the house. And when we got our bill it was on there but they charged us 50% for the 3 shots that we didn’t even order…..

    This is probably my favorite restaurant in Vancouver and is consistently very good. The food was amazing last night except the tuna crudo which was very fishy. I actually couldn’t eat it. Our server was also inattentive and not that friendly which was disappointing.

    Food was excellent; however, for the birthday dinner that it was, the waiter we had took forever to take our order, bring us the food, clear plates, etc. As the dessert options were verbal and not written down, the waiter fired off four different options and told us to remember. It was rather rude. Poor service, careless service. Go for the food as the chefs know what they are doing.

    As usual, the food at Osteria Savio Volpe was phenomenal. The host, bartender, support staff and kitchen team were on point. Our particular server left a little to desire yet we all have off days. We sat at the counter which isn’t our favourite yet we were close to the front of the restaurant which helped to keep the noise level (from the kitchen and restaurant in general) tolerable. We continue to come back for the food. It’s unique, creative, delicious and generally good value.

    It was our first time trying this restaurant, and I’m not sure if I would head in there again. My pasta was really good, but my mum who we took out for Mother’s Day wasn’t so impressed. The first item we ordered, she got a price of hair in her mouth from the bread we had ordered. There was another price stuck in the bread. Not so appetizing. Other than that my pasta was really good. Noise level was loud inside, tables were too close and beer was a little flat. I would give it 3.5/5.

    Dinner took quite some time to come out. The pull apart garlic bread was delicious as was the kale salad. Our entrees were subpar (meatballs & tortellini) - However, the rigatoni was great.

    We were very impressed. We weren't a fan of one of the dishes that we had chosen. Our waiter was aware and he brought us a scoop of refreshingly delicious gelotto to make up for it. Even though it was our wrongful selection. Will definitely eat here next time we are in Vancoucer. 5 star!

    Nothing short of amazing! Exceeded our groups expectations. We were a group of 6 ladies dining close to the kitchen on May 6. Our server (I wish I remembered his name) took our dining experience to another level. These days it's hard to find the complete package of phenomenal food and service but Savio volpe hit the nail on the head. We did the familia dining menu and was blown away- from the bluefin tuna, to the endive salad, to the tagliatelle bolognese, to the chicken/halibut/steak, and right to the decaf Americano! Thank you Savio Volpe for a memorable dining experience.

    My wife and I chose the chefs choice for $79 each.Advised waiter no beef please ,but chicken ,poultry and bacon are all ok.They get to choose for you.However they just chose pescatarian .For Protein we received only chewy raw tuna appetizer and a whole trout split in the pan with eyes,skin and tail etc on it. We got to share a small plate of salad and small pasta prior.One thin slice of chocolate dessert to share.For $160 food for two people and a $58 up charge on a bottle of $30 Italian wine,and $18 cocktails, we felt the value just wasn't there for a bill to add tip to of $310 in a very busy ,noisy but popular place.Next time we would not drink their wines that start around $78 and would likely order a la carte.Two hours later we had to have an appetizer to eat,as we were both still hungry

    Ambiance - way too loud, need to shout to be heard. 80 decibels average the entire time there (my Apple Watch kept alerting me). Forget conversation. Staff there will suffer from hearing damage over the long term. Food - got tasting menu, bad mistake. Got cold cuts, a green salad with dressing, vegetarian risotto, two tiny cuts of steak, and a scoop of gelato each for $160. Very average tasting, boring and mild flavours. Only the steak was decent. Other tables seemed to get more food in comparison (all nearby tables got tasting menu also). Could’ve bought all this at Urban Fare and a nearby ice cream shop for like $60. Drinks - Strong and very sweet cocktails, wow $17-19 per drink. Ouch. Service - took 10 mins for server to come by, by that time we just ordered drinks and food all at once. Said happy birthday to the table next to us (arrived later), and as an afterthought added happy birthday to my husband too. Overall - I wouldn’t visit again. Have wanted to check out this place since it’s opened, and I left very disappointed. Wish I had brought my husband elsewhere for his birthday dinner.

    Food is overall delicious with good presentation and quite generous portions. Service was a little disappointing as it took a long time for the waitress to check up on us after the mains were out. We didn't mention anything, but she still offered an extra sorbet as service which was nice of her. However, when we got the bill, she said she had to play with the pricing in order to include the extra sorbet into the bill (she couldn't give it for free). This was my second visit, and my first visit a year ago was definitely better.
