Nice place, great food, pleasant service but they seemed understaffed, which happens in life.
Really loud, rather cold and we didn’t love the table we had as one person was looking at an empty wall. Was missing atmosphere.
Delicious food. The service is outstanding. This was our third time eating here and they never disappoint. Make sure to book reservations ahead of time , they fill up quickly and the wait can be long if you don’t have one.
we were there for our anniversary and my wife was very happy! The food and service were excellent! Fully recommended! We tried the family menu and it was the best choice! 5 course meal and all the dishes were superb!
Out of this world good
The experience was excellent. We were first time diners and our server was extremely helpful. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food, stunning wine list, great service. Will be back!
We went for the chef's menu, and it was mildly disappointing. Everything we had was pretty run-of-the-mill (meat platter, salad, pasta, steak, dessert)...we were envious of our neighbour's dishes and wish we had ordered any of those dishes...
We found the music a bit loud when we first arrived.
Food was good. Although slightly overrated. Service was a bit to ambitious, frequent visits and questions were disputing our good time. I understand they wanted to be attentive but it was overwhelming. Dinner was tasty but the family style was a hard enforce so our friends needed to wait for their meals quite sometime which made it uncomfortable.
Excellent food and service. Everyone's excellent with children there.
As much as the food was extra ordinary, it was too noisy for me and if we wanted to, we could listen in on our neighbour’s conversations.
incredible service and attention to every detail from the fine comfort cuisine, warm inviting ambiance and world-class service....we were attended to by multiple servers, manager and host at each milestone to ensure our happiness without any intrusion....they let us enjoy the food and our company while ensuring drinks and food and area were catered too and taking action such as filling our wine and water and cleaning table right before us even wondering about it...Savio Volpe Osteria hits the mark on FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIENCE, VALUE, EXPERIENCE 100/100
Outstanding in every way. Well worth the wait it took to get a reservation. I will definitely go back again!
Flew in from Winnipeg with a tip to go here from Adam Donnelly & my daughter who own Segovia Tapas Bar & Restaurant & Clementine in Winnipeg.
Met every expection I expected!!!
Lorne the server was excellent!!
Amazing food & amazing service. I have been dreaming about the dinner since I ate it.
Hands down my favorite restaurant for mid-high dining in Vancouver. Service and atmosphere are top notch. Pretty much can't go wrong on the menu. Kale salad a must...
Service is always too notch and attentive. The spot prawn dish was executed perfectly ! Everything we ordered was served at the right temperature and seasoning. One of my favorite restaurant to go to for sure.
This is our neighbourhood go-to spot for a great time. The food is of a consistently high quality, the staff are friendly and there are no pretentious airs about the place.
We went to Savio Volpe to celebrate a birthday. It took 2 months to get the Saturday night reservations we wanted. The place has a nice spacious feel, although it's crowded and tables are packed in pretty tight. The service was pretty good. We ordered family style where you get 2 salads, a pasta, a protein with veg, and two desserts. We were a little complicated, with one of us eating no shellfish and the other no meat, but they were accommodating. There was fish in 2-3 of the dishes. The kale salad was delicious; the other one okay. The vegetarian pasta was underwhelming. There was a lot of butter and lemon kinds of flavours. The meat we got was meatballs which my husband said were the best we ever had. They came in a nice tomato sauce. The desserts were delish and we were stuffed!
Food was fabulous. We will be back.
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. If you haven’t, you need to.
A class act all round. Everything tasted fresh, the produce was clearly excellent and prepared to as high's standard.
My friend and I took the Chef's selection option ($55/person for 5 shared courses). We got a shaved veal appetizer, salad, cauliflower orecchiette pasta dish, veal steak and dessert. The food, overall, was very good though we were a bit underwhelmed by the pasta dish that was chosen for us. The veal steak, however, was out-of-this world! You could taste the flame char on the crust. Divine! And the dessert - a mascarpone filled meringue with rhubarb jam - was really unique and delicious!
Had an amazing dinner, we chose to eat a la famiglia - enjoying 5 beautiful courses paired with a red wine chilled lightly that balanced each mouthful perfectly. The perfect night.
The food is amazing. The experience was not. The room felt cramped and our tables were too close together with the tables next to us. The room was too loud where we couldn’t have a conversation. Service was friendly but we had over 10 different. People serving us throughout it’s too much.
The food menu isn't too large but the quality is amazing. Most dishes should be shared, but it's worth it to try the different options. I've heard great things since it opened and everything was true. The service was fantastic (they even gave me a birthday card!), and I will deffintiely come back. (Ps. Don't leave without trying the Aperol Spritz.)
We just dined at Savio Volpe for my daughter's birthday - her choice. We arrived and there was a birthday card waiting for her on the table, with a recipe for the amazing Lemony Kale Salad on the menu. From the moment we arrived, through several alla Famiglia courses, the service was amazing and the food - divine. We thoroughly the enjoyed ourselves and my daughter has already requested that we return for her next birthday ... and at least 6 more times before then! Thank you to everyone for a great evening of food for my family's special occasion.
Lindsay and the staff were welcoming, warm and quietly efficient. Portions were just right. Perhaps the best roast/ rotisserie chicken I have ever eaten. Knowledgeable wine service and delicious espresso as the final exclamation point. Bravo!
It was our first time at Osteria Savio Volpe, a rave review and recommendation from a work colleague. We didn't quite know what to expect in terms of food quality and service.
We walked into the restaurant and were greeted with a friendly smile. Our seats were already set and ready for us. Our server dropped by within a few minutes and poured us drinks, as I had to drive, I stayed dry all evening and there was no pressure to get an alcoholic drink.
The ambience and vibe to the restaurant was chic, servers were extremely friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food to be served. We over ordered as the portion sizes were quite generous. However, I would say the price is on the higher end for their dishes, would probably only come here for special occasions. Party of two with 2 sides and 2 entrees no alcoholic drinks came under a shade of $100 including tip.
Would recommend for date night or celebration for anniversary or birthday not for families as tables were all for 2 or 4 at max.
Always worth every penny. Best pasta in the city
Excellent place for innovative Italian dishes
Busy, even early on Friday night so reservations are essential
Overall experience was good, but the food was fantastic. Our reso was was delayed About 20 min for whatever reason which happens I get it, but we were told it was gonna be a moment as our table was just squaring up. Well that Moment was a long one. It was funny even some patrons noticed how long we had waited.
We were offered some appetizers and comped a dishwhich eased some of the pain.
It was some of the best service I've ever experienced. The waiters were welcoming, and aware that it was our anniversary and gave us complementary glasses of wine. The tables on either side of us were celebrating birthdays, and received special desserts. It is clearly a place people come to on special occasions, and I can see why. The food was absolutely lovely, and the waitress very knowledgeable, and also concerned with making sure all the different orders we made complemented one another well. In that sense, it felt like they were interested in curating a special experience, that was uniquely suited to us and what we were in the mood for. We went at the recommendation of a friend who knows how much my partner loves Italian food (and misses Italy, where he lived and studied for many years), and it exceeded all expectations. I will surely be returning, even with our student budgets, any time we hope to celebrate and feel celebrated.
Always a fabulous meal, my absolute favourite restaurant. Pasta as good as in Italy 🇮🇹
We went for my partners birthday - from the card hand signed by The Fox on the table, to the champagne upon arrival, to the food and surprise birthday cake, we were blown away at the quality, ambience, service, and overall great vibes of the place. Highly recommend!
One of the best meals I've had in Vancouver! Outstanding!
We loved the elevated family meal concept. A must if you’re in Vancouver!
Great service & ambience!
